Columbo doesn't really need a grand finale. Although a good one was in the episode Last Salute To The Commodore, which from what I've read was intended as a finale, but that was the worst episode (at least out of the ones I've seen so far) and thankfully they didn't end it there.The final episode is not as bad as commodore but it's pretty bad regardless and it was an awful end to the series. There was another episode/movie planned written by Peter Falk but his health took a turn for the worse before he could get it approved.

Well, an easy game that requires perfect play would be like, if you're on a grid like a checkerboard where you can only move one space either up, down, left or right. Or sit there indefinitely, I guess. Now, the space to your left has beams of light from the sky while the other three spaces all have instant death spikes.So what you're saying is you have no example so you had to make up something in your head to be mad about.
There's one solution, and deviating from it any at all is failure. Hence perfect play. But in this instance it's also really easy. But it's crappy design because of the perfect play.
Do you not know the difference between requiring perfect play and being difficult? Both have been done without the other.

Most updated RPG re-releases I can think of are more like remasters than remakes so hard to think of a lot. But the Neptunia "remakes" changed all the gameplay because the originals were bad. Also, this is a little bit of a stretch but Kingdom Hearts has invented excuses to retell and redo the KH1 plot like at least 3 or 4 times across the series, and each time is a little different.
