Even if I didn't answer the door or pick up the phone I never felt completely alone; living in a city and having to be around people one way or another. But still, the solitary life in a space of my own became repetitive and stale, even with unlimited entertainment and hobbies. It's been a long time since then. Now everyday it's a house full of family and endless work to support it. Having 2/3 of a day to myself is an ideal I can only reach for. Living in complete solitude sounds tempting and I very well might survive it without going insane but I don't think I would choose a cabin in the woods or space capsule scenario. --- don't try |

We're a group of guys that formed a tight fraternity based on simple moral standards and trust. And that ten is just the contemporary bunch that could make it that weekend. There are at least seven more that had excuses that ranged from substantial to lame that did not show up. And then there are a few outside aquaintences and many wives and siblings that are part of the group. Sometimes we only see some of these people at this one trip but most of us are in contact enough to know who is where and doing what. --- don't try |
