You beat me to it in that it's way less stupid than it used to be. Was worse than pre-Monster Hunter World monster hunter upgrade shit by far.

That said, as aces pointed out, it's still a rubbish system that doesn't actually allow you to experiment and keep multiple builds at the ready unless you grind yourself stupid, and even then it only becomes feasible when the game is nearly over and the point has vanished. It wants you to do it, teases you even (as with the summons), but doesn't allow itself to be done in a way that is practical or fun. It's bad game design, so so many aspects of the game and series.

That's kind of soulslikes in general: Lots of weapon variety, but you need to commit to a build to really make it work and that means trying new things is gated behind either a grinding or starting a new playthrough.
Yep. Basically little evolution from the formula from DS, but it's a shame. Some of the weapons acquired looked really cool, but learning a new playstyle if hard enough. Grinding to get it leveled up to comprable stats to see if it's even worth your while is just sad.

Considering the news media and the megacorps apparently are cheering on a right wing takeover of the country, what are the chances of Joe getting back in for a second term?
At the risk of tempting fate, very high. Democrats have won, and won big, in virtually every type of election since 2018, from normal Congressional ones to obscure local ones. Some have been very stunning, like the one in MI just last week that went +40 for Trump in 2020, but the Dem just won by 20 points...and INSANE 60 point swing. Or WI taking back their Supreme Court after decades of GOP control. Hell, a Dem just won in deep-Red Alabama running on pro-abortion.

Roe v Wade fucked the Right hard. Combined with discord of GOP leaders in the House, Trump's legal issue and overall unpopularity, and marquee successes by Biden, there's little reason to think Biden won't win. Never mind that Biden's war chest is vastly more than the Right's/Trumps, and the Right has to try to re-take GA and AZ, and defend NC now...and they would need ALL of those to even have a *chance* at winning.

Honestly, the Blue Wave could just be getting started.

Stan Jarocki. He was the VP of Marketing for Bally Midway at one point.

He also brought about Ms. Pac-Man and may have been one of the people that elected to call him Pac-Man, not Puckman, in the West. Apparently Netflix interviewed him a couple of weeks ago for an upcoming video game series. He was 94, died 2 days ago. All these sirens and stuff were going off in my street and neighborhood. I went to talk to the window, the house is full of Pac-Man stuff.

what does "an unrealized weapon system" even mean
It's a game that vomits a ton of really cool weapons at you, with dramatically different play styles, but caps the ability to experiment and switch between them freely without a ridiculously tedious grinding of smithing stones, which are finite to begin with, until being able to buy them late game. It's a game that seems to want you to experiment with different weapons and play styles, but makes it unrealistic to do so without a massive time sink on the player's part, rendering the point mostly moot.

ConfusedTorchic posted...
or targeting, like you're the one telling the game what you want to target and then it does that lol
The problem is, it doesn't do that well. I had far too many times to count where an enemy or group of enemies would be nearly right in front of me/dead center on a the screen, and would first target a bird I couldn't even see like 5000 miles away. It's extremely erratic and inexcusable.

Been to PT twice over it, once again after tweaking it trying to paddle board (same elbow but different muscle groupings). It's okay now, but about once a week I'll do something, even something simple, and feel a small twinge of pain.

Gotta keep it strengthened and working it out. Worst part is, it's my non-dominant hand and I don't do anything regularly that would have caused this. Just keyboard typing/video game playing.

It should be noted that this isn't just because she is a mega-celebrity that travels around to do concerts. That is understood and applies to many people/groups.

The big issue is, she is known to take many, many extremely frivolous trips, often short distances, all in her private jet, when these at least could be achieved by flying on commercial planes. Also, it's not clear form the video posted, but does she have TWO jets and the 1 will constantly meet the other at an airport to...switch off? Holy fucking shit.

There's a bill somewhere in Congress IIRC that will levy massive taxes on private jets and make them pay for their carbon footprint, as well as remove a loophole that allows them to be applied as business expenses.

To be clear, individual efforts to not recycle and curb waste and emissions should still occur. But it's correct that large corporations aren't regulated nearly enough for this.

* Trump has violated the judge's gag order about 12 times so far. They had a hearing on Tuesday April 23rd to address the 1st 10 or so violations. The judge has scheduled another hearing for Thursday May 2nd to address the remaining 2. The 2nd hearing was originally on Wednesday May 1st, but it got moved. Still waiting on Judge Merchan to make a ruling about the first 10 gag order violations. NY law says it's either a max $1000 fine per violation or jail time. The prosecution asked for fines for the 1st 10, but not sure how the judge will rule.
* Trump and the NY AG have worked out a deal to accept the $175 million bond fronted by Knight Specialty Insurance in the NY civil fraud trial. We're now waiting on the appeals court to make a ruling.
