If were talking Movies that you can tell took place in the 1990s based on the fashion, language, music, etc. I think of Clueless, Cant Hardly Wait, and American Pie.

Early 90s - Fighting through the unknown that is going through puberty while attending Catholic school, who taught us nothing.

Mid 90s - Getting through high school. Touching my first boob.

Late 90s - Drinking and other debauchery with my friends.

TBH, This is what happens to every athlete that is hyped in the media the way she has been. She is one if not the best college woman player ever. But the media has gone so overboard in claiming she is the singular reason for better TV deals, the new charter planes, etc. They make it like she transcends the entire sport and of course that is going to piss both fans and current players off.

The sad thing is that Clark herself has never portrayed herself in that light. She is very humble and always tries to show respect for past and current platers. The media is doing her no favors putting her on such a pedestal.

She's 15th in PPG and 8th in Assists, so it's not like she came in and fell on her face.

The team that drafted her is BAD. They were 13-27 last year, 5-31 the year before.

WNBA is more of a team game than the NBA is. One or two players won't turn a team completely around like it does in the NBA.

She is (arguably) the best college basketball player to come around in a long time, coming off a year the WNBA had some of it's best rating and attendance numbers.

Many where thinking/hoping her "hype" would bring the WNBA to a 2nd level of popularity.

I've been in some sort of office environment as a job for almost 30 years now, starting as a Data Entry Clerk at a bank when I was 19, and I've never really witness the stereotypical "brown nosing" of the boss like you would see in TV or Movies.

Whenever I would hear about it, the accusation is usually from someone that half-asses their job and are jealous of the guy/girl that is actually doing their job to their full potential, and just being nice to their superiors.

A silly thing I miss about "back in the day" was back during the SNES/Genesis days, me and my friend would call the EA Customer Service number, becasue one of the options was "Future Releases".

It was literally just a recording of what games were comin gout and the dates they were being released.

9 times out of 10 it would be the same recording, but MANNNN, when they would update it and we heard that the next NHL, NBA Live, or Madden was coming out, we would get HYPED

First one was a bad non-call. Gotta assume ref was focused on the loose ball after the block.

Second one gets non-called in WNBA A LOT. Because its largely a jump shooting league, that high five block happens pretty often.

And on the 3rd video, the opponent ignored the whole other team. Its not like they singled her out.

Yes. The problem is that with everyone producing more energy than they consume, the power companies wont have money should panels or grid systems need to be repaired/replaced/upgraded.

Itll then just make things more expensive once it swing back out of the consumers favor.

Why is the media cycle like this? Why do trivialities like this get made into news stories? This is only a step above making a news story out of a fake AITA reddit post.

Ask again when this becomes a 500 topic of people arguing about self checkout, minimum wage jobs, privilege, and an assortment of other things that turns trivial articles like this into full scale debates.

Which would be the admirable thing to do.

I used it as an example becasue there's a guy I works with who is like that.

I work in an office of 12 people, and every Friday my boss buys us lunch. We rotate who choses who we order from, and any time it isn't "his" Friday (where, without fail, we order from the deli becasue the ONLY thing he's willing to eat is a turkey sandwich with American cheese), he will critique what we order.

"All the Italian food has too much sauce on it"
"I don't know how you guys can stomach sushi"
"Didn't we order from the Greek place last week?"
"Mexican? I guess all the bathrooms will be occupied this afternoon"

Meanwhile, the dude has the palette of a 4 year old.

For example. If I'm out with a dozen people and we all decide to get Sushi, and you're the ONE person that doesn't eat sushi, don't huff throughout the entire meal and say things like "I can't believe you're eating THAT" becasue there's nothing there you're willing to eat.

Aziz talked about what he was accused of and had an actual apology. I still don't get why he was caught up in that shit. He simply had a bad date. Hell, it kinda changed his career trajectory completely, much more than CK. And it's a shame.

This one still kinda bothers me, because I really enjoyed where Aziz' career was heading, and that incident basically derailed to to the point where his career was almost reset, and now he's just a "regular" stand up that hits the clubs but will (most likely) never get his own show or anything again.

And (assuming you believe his version of the events) it was all from, like you said, a bad date where he misread some signals.

Reverse is also true though. Just think about the talk of gas prices.

I live on the East Coast, but the order I get, the more I'd prefer games starting on West Coast time.

I read that the arresting officer was disciplined for not having his camera on, but NONE of the other officers cameras picked this up?

My guy you can just admit you were wrong and that cops generally don't deserve the benefit of the doubt that you like to give them, no need to be so salty about it.

You won't learn anything from this though and will go right back to devil's advocating for the police.

In this particular case, its obvious that the cop, along with the eye witness (that was friendly with Scheffler so I didnt think hed make up that Scheffler was in the wrong) didnt tell an accurate account of the incident, so my opinion on the incident was also wrong.

It will not, however, stop me from taking each incident as its own, and continue to base my opinions on information provided, without prejudices.

Officer has already been disciplined for not having his body cam on during the incident.

Charges haven't been dropped on Scheffler. Yet.

Anyways, the trick isnt eh exams meal 8 or 9 times. The trick is get 4 main courses, 4 sides and alternate between those In rotation. 16 different meal options.

That's basically a version of what I do, because im a pretty picky eater.

Food shopping is one of the few things I'm extremely frugal about. Always looking for sales. Willing to shop at 3-4 different place to get every item at the best possible price. Buying in bulk. Opting for the store brand wherever I know there isn't a drop in quality, etc.

And then i go out an buy a $130 pair of Jordan 1s. So I'm no saint.

Really depends on what it is and how long you save it for.

Buying a dozen chicken legs, freezing in bags of 2, and prepping them every 4-5 days gets rid of them before the freezer ruins them.

If you have a LIDL near you, the meats are just as cheap, and most cuts are decent quality.

You can buy one of those steaks for $8, a sweet potato for literally a dollar, and a can of peas and carrots for $1.15

And entire meal for $11 that would probably be in excess of $30 at a restaurant, and you'd have zero leftovers.

Freezing and rethawing really affects the quality of the meat though, and it will eventually freezerburn too. Probably well before I would normally get around to eating five steaks. So best case I'm eating more expensive food more frequently in a bizarre reversal of the sunk cost fallacy.
