And yeah I get the feeling that those who are involved in it are all the "reactor" type of commentators, and none of them are the "initiator" type. There are no hype-men in the series, and it shows.

I really hate cancelling Quests, but I'm just not really into Advent Rising, and the numbers show the same. I didn't really think it would be good, but the four playing assured me they would make it work. But now they're also messaging me privately saying it sucks lol.

I've also unfortunately noticed that the majority of the Quests we cancel have 1 or 2 of the same people in them... So now I'm torn as both a friend and content creator who seeks to continuously improve and make better stuff. I've already spoken to each person asking why they're so low energy and what not, but always get weak excuses back at me.

I don't know what to do, I fear the friendship would suffer if I ask them not to be on the show anymore, but at the same time a couple of them feel like they're only there from obligation or FOMO, and are bringing the quality down.

That, and I need to be more strict on game choice. I let this one go because it was a Side Quest, and they wanted to branch out. But man does the game kinda suck. Castlevania, Kirby and DK would all be a nice change of pace and could potentially wrap a series in 10 or so episodes. The overabundance of long form games is starting to fatigue me. I think Sub-12 hour games is where we should aim. And have maybe 1 or 2 that go longer.

The RPG quest is fine since there is two games happening, and it never feels stale or old because of that. I'm actually quite proud of that idea honestly, and I'm thinking I will continue it. That's why I included Final Fantasy as one of the options, I think we may replace the games with Earthbound and one of the FF games pre-VII.

The week off really cleared my mind and allowed me to think of how to move forward. It just sucks because unfortunately it may make me come off as a jerk to my crew with me putting my footdown on certain things, and if they're not having fun then it ruins the vibe of the show. That being said, I do 99% of the work anyway. All the art, editing, releases, you name it. The only thing the others do is play/commentate, the rest is all me. So I most certainly have the right, but again it comes down to ruining the easy/fun vibe which is so important to the content of the videos.

TL:DR My mind is swirling and battling against friendship/content quality, and hard improvements.

So my main, brand new editing PC completely shit the bed this weekend, just a hour before @Kamekguy and I started our collaboration project. Took a couple more hours to get everything going on a slapped together backup PC. Have to now send it back to Dell to get it fixed which should take AT LEAST TWO WEEKS. Video card was apparently totally fried, but of course Dell wants the entire PC and won't take your word for it.

Was still a ton of fun though for our first ever crossover. Excited to see the output on both of our sides.

30 Rock bombing here is a tragedy. By far the most hilariously consistent show ever made. Jack Donaghy is like the greatest comedic character made of all time.

Parks and Rec has bad first 2 seasons, and the final seasons is also weak. Community dies after S3. Arrested Development is pretty close to 30 Rock in Quality though.

Scrubs is #2 though. Happy Endings blows all of these out of the water.

Our playthrough of Phoenix Wright has be fangirling so hard. I've never played it before and I'm obsessed. I refuse to look up any spoilers so I've been mostly listening to the music, and even designed a new sprite for Amy based on Phoenix. We just recorded 4 more episodes last night. Titty cat lady was interesting. I do like how the cases are somewhat interconnected. I didn't realize it, I always thought it was very episodic even within a single game.

My wife and myself had a similair issue, I was always rip-roaring to go but she put sex so low on her totem poll of needs/thoughts that we weren't matching up at all.

It sounds lame, but the whole thing was salvaged by the fact that we commit and make sure we have at least one night a week for each other, which MUST include sex. It has done wonders for everyone's mood I must say.

That's a cool story. She will forever be known as the returning Survivor with the worst record, not sure if she's proud of that or not, but hey I still instantly recognize her name when I see it so that's something I guess.

I agree with Peridiam as well. Reality TV is 99% garbage, unless there is a competition or game to it.

Which shows do you watch outside the main 3 @Peridiam? I definitely watch Master Chef Junior, I did watch The Apprentice when it was on, and of course you know I'm unapologetic-ally into the Bachelor nation lore. And course the CAD versions of all of these shows.

I swear to god if there was ever a CAD Survivor I would camp out in front of the casting directors house until they let me in.

I got 45 seconds in. The Vagina and Penis thing didn't bother me, but after the fifth "uuuh, ummm" I was out. Needs to be more rehearsed, or quick cut to remove those parts.

And yes, the lighting is quite bad. The back drop entirely isn't great. You could do this from your PC chair and just have half of the screen be a white background, much better way of doing it if you have no great recording space.

Hopefully you see this as helpful criticism and not just me crapping on your video. Feedback can do wonders, but never force yourself to do something you're uncomfortable with or don't see the value in.

Also worth noting (or maybe it's not, this topic has really derailed) I'm Canadian and have 0 interest at all in American politics. It's one of the most depressing things to see, and to watch a country tear itself apart is really, truly heart breaking. Not only that, but I get blasted with American politics in social media, TV, movies, music, about every medium I care to enjoy save for Video Games. I'd rather not see it in a place I've called home for so many years which is founded on a love for said video games. I'd like at least one facet of my life to be free of such vitriol and hate.

So yeah, seeing those topics makes me feel bad and makes me lose more faith in humanity then I cared to admit. Call me a petty high schooler if you want, but if ignoring someone can honestly improve my mood, I'm going to do it.

Hope the justifies the ignore feature a little more to the naysayers.
