Banjo actually has a potential to be somewhat underrated, as he has a tendency to get stuck against Nintendo or Nintendo-lite characters. But I'm not sure there's anyone of consequence I would actually take him against.

It is one of 5 different types of trends that I had identified in the past - age-based trends, time-based trends, geolocation trends, situational trends, and rally trends

Age-based trends don't really exist anymore. Time-based trends don't show up in contest matches and are only relevant in a small number of regular polls.

Geolocation trends are the primary driver of trends in contests now that we don't have age-based trends anymore.

Yeah, I just checked my bracket to make sure that I actually picked Tails instead of backing the Drake upset because that seems like the type of stupid thing I'd do.

And it turns out that 1) Yes, I picked Tails, 2) Tails is actually the heavy Guru underdog, and 3) I picked MC to win this fourpack.

Tails is just one of those characters that we always expect to suck, because Sonic Team always disappoints and he's low-tier on the Sonic pecking order.
