WWE Smackdown!
Wk. 3, Dec. '11

Pre-show: Mordecai instructs Edwards to watch his match tonight (52); Usos d. Cara II/Bateman (60); Kidd tries to pacify Natalya (48)

-Sheamus is out to challenge Barrett to a match RIGHT NOW if he has the GOATS. Barrett says he has nothing to prove, and the attack was just business....but now it's pleasure! He put Sheamus through a table once, and he'd do it again!
Rating: 75

-Match: Sheamus v. Barrett
The Celtic Warrior extracts VENGEANCE upon Barrett!
Rating: 80

-Chavo and Ryder are backstage. Ryder wants Chavo to know that he hurt his feelings, bro! Chavo doesn't care and repeats the accusation that Ryder has been handed everything in WWE. Chavo calls Ryder a talentless hack! Ryder decides to make his counterargument in the ring.
Rating: 67

-Match: Cara v. Mordecai
Edwards watches sadly as his Pro fails to get the job done against the luchador. Well, he DOES get the job done, but not the kinda job that's a good thing.
Rating: 61

-Sin Cara POINTS, but there's no Cara II to be found. He POINTS in random directions hoping to find him, but alas :(
Rating: 59

-Match: Ryder v. Carlito
Back and forth match, but Ryder eventually gets a big win.
Rating: 70

-Natalya's in the ring with Haas and Dibiase. She's tired of AJ's meddling, and wants to put her down NOW. What's more, the Hart Dynasty has taken AJ's side! How dare they? That's why she's enlisted the help of the tag team master Haas and her fellow second-gen star Dibiase to shut them all up for good...in a double #1 Contenders' Match!
Rating: 65

-Diva/Tag #1 Contender Match: AJ/Harts v. Natalya/Haas/Dibiase
Quite even match, but the faces are able to get the upper hand in the end.
Rating: 60

-Nash and X-Pac come out to STICK THE WINNERS. They lay out the Harts with the belts, and then Nash plants them both with belt-assisted Jacknifes.
Rating: 59

-Match: Yoshi d. Young
Rating: 63

-Rock thinks that it makes sense to book Henry/Khali for TLC...in a CHAIRS MATCH! How topical! Also tonight they're in a tag match with the IC champ and #1 Contender wooo
Rating: 85

-Match: Khali/Orton v. Henry/Cody
The faces look pretty dangerous tonight, going over with the power of brain chops and RKO's out of NOWHERE.
Rating: 70

-Match: Show/Bryan v. Awesome Truth
Show and Bryan just don't seem to click as partners, and Miz and Truth are able to exploit this for the win.
Rating: 86
Poor psychology

-Christian and Brodus hit the ring! They jump Show, wear him down a bit, and then put him t'rew a tayble!
Rating: 81

-Aweome Truth escape in the confusion, pleased with the win. They are less pleased when Taker shows up and chokeslams them.
Rating: 86

Post-show: Rock/Taker d. Bryan/Show, Awesome Truth, Christian/Brodus (73)

Overall: 74 LOL ANGLES FAILURE

FROM THE BOOKERMAN

-Man was that sub-ME disappointing. I didn't name the Khali/Henry storyline "THE CRAPPIEST TITLE FEUD EVER" for no reason!

-...At least the ME rocked as usual.

-Yoshi is running out of jobbers to beat in random filler matches :\

NEWSWIRE

-Xplosion rebounded slightly this week with a 54.

-EVOLVE's latest outing did fairly well. Lethal went over Brodie Lee in a solid ME.

-FCW Weekly pulled a moderately disappointing 47. Finlay and Mark Briscoe put on a stellar match, but like usual it was shoved onto the backburner so Leavine could headline with O'Neil.

-Ophidian and Sami Callahan have teamed up in NWA Force1, capturing the tag belts on their first outing!

-PWG has picked up Kenny King

-RoH has put on another excellent show, with both a solid six-man tag and an awesome Lethal/Crazy TV title defense.

-Drake Younger and Arik Cannon closed out a solid EVOLVE show, but Younger suffered light injuries in the match.

-Brother Ray seems to be set to retire. He indicated in a recent interview that he wants to go out on top.

-ICW have signed on Larry Zybysko.

GTM- 2/8

Guess this one was harder than expected. I wish I could have Mordecai win matches, I really do. :\ Bonus was pretty tricky, and only Gr8 got it. The thing y'all would do well to remember is that I will hardly EVER build to a Face/Face or Heel/Heel feud or PPV match, at least as WWE. Sometimes I will throw some sort of twist in there, but y'all are frequently losing points by picking, say, the heel to go over in a #1C match for a heel champ. War loses another point on his top two contenders! They're within striking distance now!

Impact Week 1 January 2012

SHOWTIME:

Recap package of Kurt Angle ripping into TNA and saying he's going to take this title wherever the hell he wants and defend it against whoever the hell he wants cause he's still not under contract. Sting comes out, calls out Kurt Angle, but there's no response. He boldly proclaims he'll just vacate the title again... it's TOURNAMENT TIME!-- but Jeff Jarrett and VC "Cliff" Compton come out and say that because Kurt Angle's not employed, any title stripping isn't actually legally binding, and since it was just vacated that's not a good business move anyway. Sting nods, laughs madly and shouts for Angle some more! (91)

Mr. Anderson is backstage looking annoyed... Glacier appears! He explains to Anderson that he has nothing to do due to Morgan retreating like a coward, and observes that Anderson himself doesn't have much to do, and directs him to a flyer on the wall that says there's a #1 contender's match for the tag titles open. Anderson waves him off, but Glacier sells him some pitch about the both of them being lethal weapons, their look being similar, and etc etc... and to just picture the name... "The Iceholes." Anderson smiles with that and takes him up on it. (56)

Motor City Machine Guns are in the ring awaiting an opponent, and out come Glacier and Mr. Anderson! They put up a good fight, and clearly have some chemistry (great chemistry, in fact!), but they just don't have the experience of the MCMG. MCMG d. The Iceholes (74)

AJ Styles is backstage, and VC "Cliff" Compton approaches him, telling him he's been served! AJ doesn't know what the hell this is about, and Jeff Jarrett rips into him saying he's going to pay personally for damaging TNA's image by losing to a guy who doesn't work
there in Kurt Angle like that (62) Beer Money d. The Way of the Samurai (77)

Austin Aries hits the ring and explains to the audience that with the World Title in turmoil, he now has the most prestigious singles title in TNA today, and to get some real competition and solidify his title's status as the #1 title in TNA, he's dropping the weight limits on his belt. He calls out RVD and says since he won a title shot last night, he can come get some from A Double tonight. RVD accepts the challenge! (80)

Robbie E d. Shannon Moore by dq to retain when Eric Young runs in and attacks him during the match and Big Stevie Ray sorta just does a visible "ouch" as the attack goes down rather than helping. After the match Shannon and Eric brawl while Robbie E yells at Stevie Ray who sorta just shrugs. (45)

Ultramantis Black is out to call AJ Styles again-- no matter his lawsuit problems this isn't over! His promo is interrupted by... Val Venus!?! Val says that he and Daniels still have some unfinished business from a year ago... now it's time to pay! Ultramantis Black is livid, again! (55) Ultramantis Black d. Val Venus, and visibly contemplates something after the match. (63)

RVD d. Austin Aries by DQ when Jeff Hardy randomly beats down RVD. (82) Jeff Hardy demands a world title shot from Sting, since he earned one. Sting's like "you want a title shot!?!?!" and snaps! He attacks and shouts loudly for a referee as he is. (67) Sting d. Jeff Hardy in a backstage brawl (92) Sting shouts for "Angle!!" some more to close to show out (90)

80 -- Success!! lol angles. Ultramantis Black overused. Expected higher than this with that main event-- guess I killed the crowd or something.

Booker notez:

Glacier continues to be the master of chemistry, as he and Anderson have great tag chemistry. Great suggestion, War! Running with this.
Robbie E is now at 28 over! UMB trails at 23.
eddv's stuff hasn't been set in motion yet cause I've had this show booked for weeks I've just been busy/waiting for Tom

MONDAY NIGHT RAW
Wk. 4, 12/11

Pre-show: Skip interrupts a Hurricane promo (71); Reks/Hawkins d. Ryan/Riley (57); ZigSwag don't appreciate Air Boom costing Ziggles the US Title (70)

-Match: Air Boom v. ZigSwag
Decent, if disappointing, back and forth match. The nWo come down just as it's getting good! Nash and X-Pac lay out both teams with the tag belts!
Rating: 68

-Punk joins his cohorts and demands that HHH stop trying to bury them! He's tired of HHH's politicking and holding people down! Punk has REVITALIZED the WWE and deserves a title shot over some guy who stole the belt and already failed to win once!
Rating: 92

-Match: Santino v. Masters
The nWo Dominance Hour rolls on. Santino holds his own, but falls prey to the MASTERLOCK.
Rating: 70

-Punk's about to get on the stick again, but HHH cuts him off! HHH is tired of Punk's whining and the whole nWo shtick. He's adding Air Boom AND ZigSwag to the tag title match at TLC! Moreover, he'll give Punk a chance to back up his talk in a match with Kane TONIGHT! If Punk wins, he'll be added to the Kane/Del Rio ladder match....but if he loses, Triple H will see him at the PPV! Punk seems pretty happy at this arrangement, and calls it a win/win!
Rating: 92

-Match: Hurricane v. Skip
Hurricane's back! And he's in the doghouse. And fighting the monster heel. Yep (yep yep what it do).
Rating: 46

-Dreamer looks for the crowd's support in the rough times he's going through. He has to leave now and work at Sunglass Hut. FILLER ANGLE GOGOGO
Rating: 68

-Match: Beth/Bellas d. Trish/Kelly/Melissa
Rating: 59

-Match: HHH v. Estrada
HHH is looking to keep the rust off after his impressive losing effort at SurSer. AAE looks pretty good, but gets far too cocky about fighting a retired vet, and pays for it dearly.
Rating: 82

-Slater comes out to celebrate his US Championship! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Rating: 62

-Match: Otungacutty v. Drew/JTG
The less said about this match, the better. Otunga scores the pin.
Rating: 51

-Reks and Hawkins run in on Otungacutty oh noooo
Rating: 56

-Match: Morrison and Gabriel v. Cena and Slater
Morrison SQUEAKS by with a clutch win.
Rating: 83

-Cena grabs a mic and BALONEY FUDGE MUSTARD, he lost! But he's gonna turn Morrison into a HAM SAMMICH at TLC! He's still the best gosh-darn superstar in sports entertainment, and anybody who disagrees will get a taste of RUTHLESS AGRESSION!
Rating: 88

-Match: Kane v. Punk
Kane is noticeably missing the WWE Title belt. They TEAR THE GORRAM HOUSE DOWN. Both men have something to prove here, and they bring everything they have. Kane is focused and tough, though, and he has the better answers tonight.
Rating: 99

-Del Rio comes out to the ring demanding the WWE Belt back! Kane says he can come take it then! He gestures, and the belt lowers from the ceiling. Kane even backs off to the outside! Del Rio enters the ring and stares up at the belt, which is just out of his reach. Kane tosses a ladder into the ring and re-enters, staring down the champ. Del Rio bails to the outside as Kane brandishes the ladder at him! Kane laughs, sets up the ladder, and retrieves the belt as Del Rio fumes helplessly on the outside. If Del Rio can't muster up the courage to face Kane, how can he retain in a ladder match?
Rating: 100

Post-show: Del Rio cuts a promo (100); Del Rio attacks Kane and it turns into a MASSIVE LOCKER ROOM EMPTYING BRAWL (100); Primo d. Erick Stevens (43)

Overall: 85 SUCCESS lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN

-HOLY CRAP that ME rating! Not really sure how Kane managed that, but I will most certainly take it. Some ridiculous angles in there too o_o

-I am sure I could've done a better job of building Punk/HHH, but it WAS kinda tacked on after I realized I didn't have them doing anything. :\

-Slater WAS going to have a generic gimmick and title run. Then I found myself typing "yes" without thinking about it. And now, for the moment anyway, he is Daniel Bryan.

-I expected better from Air Boom and ZigSwag. I guess I HAVE kinda let Air Boom slip down the card a lot.

Last two matches were pretty tough, and nobody of course got the non-finish for the opener. I expected more people to come closer on the bonus, even if it WAS ridiculously high. War loses a point or two on a lot of people, but with Dante tanking hard, does it matter? It looks to be down to War and Gr8, but could we see a dark horse comeback from somebody else in the pack?

NXT
Wk. 4, 12/11

Pre-show: Haas d. Rollins (68); Rollins puts Orton over as his Pro anyway (69); Reks/Hawkins d. Usos (59)

-La Parka is backstage with "Clean Cut" Sonjay Dutt. He communicates through pantomime that chairs are TOTALLY LEGAL in a Chairs match and that Dutt should feel free to use them! Dutt seems unconvinced.
Rating: 48

-Chairs Match: Parka and Dutt v. Chavo and Abe
That's right folks, it's a very special TLC Preview episode of NXT! Dutt still seems to feel above the use of chairs, but Parka is in HEAVEN. Parka can only be a HOUSE EN FUEGO for so long, though, and eventually falls prey to the doubleteam. Dutt is left with no choice but to EMBRACE THE CHAIR and save his Pro! He drives off both heels with masterful chair work, and is able to turn the tide into a win!
Rating: 53

-Slater comes out with the US Title. He said that management is requiring him to put the title on the line in a TLC match tonight! He thinks this is unfair, so he picked out the weakest Rookie he could find....Xavier Woods!
Rating: 42

-US Title TLC: Slater (c) v. Woods
A big deal is made of Slater being out of Woods' league, with Stanford constantly either berating Slater for taking the easy route or commending Woods for holding his own against a vet. Slater DOES eventually manage to cut off the hope spots and get the win.
Rating: 61

-Slater stays in the ring to go YES! YES! YES! for a bit. As Slater parades around the ring, Cap'n Petey Williams comes out to join in the festivities with a YARR! YARR! YARR!
Rating: 44

-Taybles Match: Bryan and Orton v. Edwards and Cap'n Petey
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this one, although the heels put up a remarkable fight, especially Edwards. Mordecai and Slater keep trying to turn things in their Rookies' favor, but that can only get them so far, and the faces put Williams t'rew a tayble fairly quickly.
Rating: 68

-Ladder Match: Cabana and Show v. Daivari and Barrett
It's announced that the winners here will challenge for the tag belts next week (if I remember!) It quickly becomes apparent that Show can't climb the dinky ladders, but it also becomes apparent that Show can toss everybody around like ragdolls long enough for Colt to climb the ladder!
Rating: 60
Daivari/Barrett great chem

-Show hoists Cabana onto his shoulders and they parade around in celebration!
Rating: 76

Post-show: Alicia d. Maryse (44); Mordecai rambles (47); Gabriel d. Mordecai (49)

Overall: 56 lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN:

-Heh, I decided to ignore the match ratio, and somehow managed to avoid getting pinged for it anyway! Too bad I had a Rookie-ish ME and the show sucked. But hey, who cares?

-I feel like having lots of mixed Rookie/Pro matches is the way to go from an in-game standpoint...the Rookies obviously benefit more from it. It's just a lot harder to book interestingly.

-I'm having too much fun with Slater again. It's not even like I'm doing something particularly original with him >_>

-Reks tested positive for steroids for a third time. I have a four-strike program going, but I don't think it's going to help him any <_<

-Skip's on his first strike as well. Can't figure out what to make of his response to a slap on the wrist.

NEWSWIRE

-Impact gets a nice 78, thanks to a boost from Angle/Shelley in the sub-main.

-PWG got a 72 with a particularly nice run of Clash of the Titans. London and Hero put on an excellent match to carry the show.

FROM THE BOOKERMAN:

-Christian I am so sorry ;_;

-...Man, if that was Christian/Khali with GOOD chemistry, I'd hate to see it with bad.

-...I expected a bit more from the post-show match.

-I am ALMOST DONE with the freakin' Sheamus/Christian scripted storyline! :D :D :D

I have no idea what if anything happened to news.

WWE SMACKDOWN
Wk. 4, 12/11

Pre-show: Sin Cara II points with a limp wrist, obviously mocking his face counterpart (57); Mordecai d. Zeke (60); Christian can't find Brodus anywhere (86)

-Henry comes out to talk about how he's already beaten Khali with a chair once, and is happy to do it again this Sunday! Khali comes out and yells at him in Hindi for a bit, and things are about to come to blows when Rock comes out to announce that both men have warmup matches tonight.
Rating: 73

-Match: Orton/Show v. Haas/Dibiase
Cody joins on commentary for this match, but surprisingly, no shenanigans ensue, which of course means Orton wins.
Rating: 75

-Cody hops in the ring to hype up the rivalry for the title, but gets an RKO for his troubles.
Rating: 82

-Tag Titles: Nash/X-Pac (c) v. Usos
Usos just can't get much done against the champs, and fall way short.
Rating: 66

-Harts come out to announce that they're going to get a bigger win tonight to get them ready for winning the titles this Sunday! Nash and X-Pac laugh them off.
Rating: 57

-Match: Yoshi v. Barrett
Barrett gets a big filler match win!
Rating: 64

-Match: Harts v. Carlito/Husky
The Harts make good on their word with a big win going into Sunday.
Rating: 57

-Taker is backstage. Tonight he is fighting Mark Henry. He's okay with Henry. They're part of the bygone era. But youngsters like Miz and Truth have absolutely no respect, and don't understand their place. He'll deal with them later.
Rating: 92

-Match: Ryder/Cara v. Chavo/Cara II
Intense match. Chavo gets the pin, but needs a handful of tights to do it.
Rating: 72

-Match: AJ/Gail d. Divas of Doom
Natalya might be having trouble with AJ, but now the champ is here. Beth picks up a win to seize the momentum going into TLC.
Rating: 64

-Match: Khali v. Christian
Christian comes out without Brodus, which is odd. Nevertheless, his agility (and ability to work a ten minute match without gassing) has Khali on the ropes, but then Sheamus pops up on the tron! Sheamus informs him that he's been spending some good quality time with Brodus and having a chat about bullying! The camera pans over to a bedraggled Brodus propped up in the corner. Christian is outraged by this turn of events, but calms down when Khali BRAIN CHOPs him out of his skull! Khali picks up the win in one of the saddest things I have ever booked.
Rating: 78
Great chemistry! Khali got tired.

-Sheamus is still on the tron...he laughs and puts Brodus t'rew a tayble!
Rating: 82

-I hate when pre-made storylines have steps like "IT'S A HYPE VIDEO YOU GUYS." That said, we get a four-minute recap of Sheamus/Christian.
Rating: 83

-(Non-title) Match: Taker v. Henry
They easily outdo their WM match with a barnburner of a brawl. The champ and the Phenom seem fairly evenly matched! Referee Jack Doan bumps after being in the wrong spot for an Irish Whip on Henry, and that means it's SHENANIGANS TIME! :D Sure enough, Awesome Truth come down to the ring. Henry backs off, although he's clearly not that into the idea. Nonetheless, he stands by while Awesome Truth double-team a tired Undertaker, and then cleans up the pieces afterwards for the win.
Rating: 94

-Awesome Truth stay at ringside, and slide back in after the match for more beatdown fun! However, they didn't wager on DANIEL BRYAN making the save! Mr. Money in the Bank cleans house, and then he and Taker have a tense handshake.
Rating: 83

Post-show: Rock comes out and books a match (100); Rock/Bryan d. Awesome Truth (65)

Overall: 81 SUCCESS lol angles

Harder show than I expected. I am amused by the number of people who had one or both of Khali/Henry losing on the go-home show for their title match, but I can't really say I'd put it past me either. WWE Presents TLC
December 2011

Pre-show: Skip d. Cara (66); Henry promo (86); Barrett d. Dreamer (70)

-World Title Chairs: Henry (c) v. Khali
Khali may have height on Henry, but World's Strongest Man he ain't. Henry is just meaner, tougher, and stronger, and out-bludgeons the giant.
Rating: 74

-The Hart Dynasty are getting ready for the tag title match, but nWo jump him backstage!
Rating: 61

-Diva Title: Beth (c) v. AJ
Glamazon'D
Rating: 75

-Christian is in the ring with a tayble. He's looking forward to putting Sheamus t'rew it!
Rating: 86

-Taybles: Sheamus v. Christian
Brodus tries to help his buddy, but eats a Brogue Kick early on. Christian gains the upper hand as a result, but Sheamus backdrops out of a Killswitch attempt that would've ended it. Sheamus props a tayble up in the corner, and Brogue Kicks his nemesis through it!
Rating: 77

-Show comes out for a hi-five!
Rating: 89

-Match: Morrison v. Cena
Morrison makes an excellent report of himself, going blow-for-blow with the freshly turned Superman. However, in the end, Cena comes out on top.
Rating: 80
Good chemistry, poor psychology

-Cena grabs the mic and tells the crowd that he won through HUSTLE LOYALTY AND RESPECT. He's the best, and he's going to keep winning for all his fans! (booooo) And tonight was just a small taste of what he is going to do to the ROCK!
Rating: 100

-Match: HHH v. Punk
HHH's rust is starting to show. He's still HHH, but he's getting too old and business-like for this kind of brawling, and it winds up making the difference.
Rating: 86

-Tag Titles TLC: Nash/X-Pac (c) v. Air Boom v. Harts v. ZigSwag
All four teams get their licks in, and there are some fairly crazy bumps from Bourne and Ziggles. Kofi and Ziggler bump each other off the ladder, leaving X-Pac as the only guy conscious enough to struggle up and grab the belts!
Rating: 71

-Match: Taker/Bryan v. Awesome Truth
Taker seems intent on solo-ing this match, and it gets him in trouble eventually....however, Bryan is raring to go, and cleans house off a hot tag! The match goes back and forth a few more times, but once Taker starts trying to cooperate, it's over for the heels.
Rating: 87

-Taker praises Bryan as a beacon of hope for a generation full of malcontents and rabble-rousers. Bryan's all humble and stuff and hopes he won't let Taker down.
Rating: 96
