SMACKDOWN
Wk. 1, 12/11

Pre-show: Cody complains about the IC Title match not making SurSer (71); Bryan won at SurSer just like he's gonna win at Mania. Best in the World. (80); SDR/Gail d. Tamina/Rosa (49)

-HHH is here to continue celebrating his team's win! He DOES however think that it's too much to be CoO AND run both shows, so he's here to introduce the new GM of SD! And no, much as he likes the little guy, HHH thinks Teddy Long's time is past. He would however like to bring out...THE ROCK! Rock comes out and does catchphrases for a while.
Rating: 92

-Awesome Truth immediately make their way out to the ring to whine about this decision, but Rock suggests they shut the mouths and know the roles. He hasn't figured out what to do with them yet, but wonders if he shouldn't just fire them! The fans don't seem to like them, and nobody likes losers. They'd better do something very impressive very soon. Christian interrupts to suck up. He wants ONE MORE MATCH for the title, and also Sheamus traded to Raw. Rock has ALREADY had enough of all these jabronis, so he books them against Orton/Taker/Sheamus!
Rating: 88

-Match: Bryan v. Carlito
Pretty straightforward, with Bryan getting the win and keeping his momentum going.
Rating: 71

-Henry comes out to ringside. He's pretty bored. Ryder wasn't enough of a challenge for him, so he has come up with a little game. He has no idea what match is next, but whoever wins it, he'll put the belt up against them immediately afterwards! He shoves Striker out of his seat to join on commentary.
Rating: 79

-Impromptu #1 Contender Match
First out is Mordecai, accompanied by Edwards. Henry scoffs at such puny competition, theorizing that he got lucky. His opponent is THE GREAT KHALI. Henry stops scoffing as Mordecai gets BRAIN CHOP'D into oblivion.
Rating: 48

-Khali celebrates in the ring as he is wont to do, but Henry smashes him from behind with a chair! It takes a few more strikes to fell the giant, but down Khali goes. Henry continues beating him until it's obvious he's no longer in fighting shape. Guess he wins the title match by forfeit!
Rating: 82

-Match: AJ/Hart Dynasty v. Natalya/Husky/Young
Hart Dynasty seem to feel a bit awkward about fighting Natalya, even while she's screaming at them. They're perfectly fine, however, beating up the random heel men pairing, and AJ is soon able to secure the win.
Rating: 58

-Match: Zeke v. Cara II
Sin Cara II is able to outmaneuver his opponent and pick up the win.
Rating: 59

-Sin Cara comes out and POINTS. Cara II doesn't react.
Rating: 64

-IC Title: Cody (c) v. Yoshi
Both men pull out all the stops, but tonight Rhodes has more in the tank.
Rating: 67

-Match: Usos v. Haas/Dibiase
Haas might be on to something here with his quest for a new tag partner! He and Ted are able to roll over the poor Usos.
Rating: 56

-Ryder cuts a very disappointed promo backstage. He wanted to win the belt for all the fans that supported him, but he failed. He finally got the big opportunity, and he failed. Chavo interrupts him to call him a disgrace. Chavo has to fight tooth and nail for any chance he can get, and Ryder gets one handed to him and he whines because he blew it? Disgusting.
Rating: 73

-Match: Sheamus v. Brodus
The Celtic Warrior is able to extract a bit of vengeance on the not-funkasaurus.
Rating: 77

-Sheamus is still in the ring when Wade Barrett comes out! For no apparently reason, he attacks the tired Sheamus...and then puts him t'rew the announce tayble!
Rating: 84

-Match: Taker/Orton/Show v. Miz/Truth/Christian
This was probably intended as a punishment match for the heels, but they actually do surprisingly well against the array of top faces.....and in fact, Truth is able to roll up Orton for a huge win!
Rating: 92

Post-show: Bryan and Sheamus clear the ring before we can get a heel beatdown (81); Rock/Ryder/Cara d. Henry/Barrett/Chavo (60)

Overall: 79 SUCCESS lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN

-That (more or less) throwaway 6-man tag ME was literally the best match I've booked so far in this diary.

NEWSWIRE

-RoH is set to turn Corino heel. I thought he was already...? They've also picked up Super Crazy, Mark Jindrak, and Jimmy Rave.

-Xplosion netted a 50, with a Moore/Young match overshadowing the Lynn/Kash main event. Hogan and Flair did a segment, but only managed to get 71.

-Rikio and Yone have claimed the GHC Tag Titles from Ishimori and Morishima in a solid opening to the latest NOAH show.

-Adam Pearce has been crowned the most recent NWA Hollywood TV champ, beating Willie Mack after Colt Cabana left with the title.

-FCW is starting to lose a bit of the momentum they'd started to build. Losing the TV deal hurt them, but so does keeping Andy Leavine as champion.

-RoH continues to rebuild, picking up Jack Evans and Chris Cage.

-Sources inside WWE indicate that Mason Ryan is set for a big push as a future star. Other sources indicate "lol."

-Inoki Genome Federation has put together another impressive show, with Ultimo retaining over Otani.

-RoH may be overhauling their roster, but their main event scene is still the same quality. Strong and Benjamin went over Corino and Steen to close out another fine TV taping.

-Speaking of which, they've recruited Sean Morley. It remains to be seen how exactly Val Venis will fit into their product.

-Dragon Gate has pumped up their upcoming tour with the additions of Davey "too good for you" Richards and Juvy "OFFER YOUR SOULS" Guerrera.

-Low-Ki has apparently been garnering some heat in FCW. He's rumored to have attitude problems.

-Dragon Gate is going to turn Ryo Saito heel.

-RoH has also picked up Jimmy Yang.

-A-1 is getting in on the expansion act, acquiring the services of El Generico and Rhett Titus.

Pretty easy show I thought, except for maybe the ME, which went surpringly well for the field anyway. The kicker was the bonus, which combined with an already solid outing to rocket War into an impressive first! He seems to be pretty feast or famine, so can he hang on to this lead for the next three weeks?

Jeff Hardy, Raven, and Robbie E vs Sting. Robbie E immediately starts the match by jumping off the ring apron and "OH!" fist pumping while encouraging Stevie Ray to join in who clearly isn't into it. Sting fights valiantly and eliminates Raven, but Jeff Hardy comes out on top being the fresher man due to no help from Robbie E. (68) Robbie E taps his head and shouts "all according to plan" and fist pumps after the match and Jeff Hardy hits him with a Twist of Hate while Stevie Ray winces but otherwise makes no attempt to help. (53)

Jarrett and VC "Cliff" Compton d. The Way of the Samurai (Gunner and Steiner) (76)

Angles vs Styles HYPE~ video (92) Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles. AJ Styles is clearly not 100%, and his refusal to rest during the month costs him against Kurt, who dissects him over the course of the match, working the injured midsection rather than the usual leg based attack. AJ is set to win a few times due to sheer grit and momentum, and Samoa Joe surprisingly stays completely out of it, but Kurt kicks out repeatedly. Kurt wins with a top rope Angle Slam that literally knocks AJ out cold after 2 normal ones fail to do the job. (95)

AJ receives medical attention while Kurt Angle and Joe cut a promo on TNA. They insult the fans and laugh at Sting's attempts to rebuild TNA without them, and say now that TNA can stick it! Kurt goes into a rant about how Sting is an idiot... he only signed Kurt for this match-- he never formally rehired him, so now he's taking this belt and wrestling wherever he wants with it, defending it against whoever he wants. He's gonna go find real athletes to fight, and really bring credibility back to this title. He might go to RoH, he might go to NJPW, he might go the UFC... hell, he might even go back to the freakin Olympics! And maybe, just maybe, when he's done with his tour, he'll think about coming back. The crowd peppers them with drinks while Tony Schiavone tells him to go straight to hell or something. (100!)

85 - Success! lol angles. Robbie E overused.

Notez:

TLC also gets 85
Aw yeah two straight ppvs with a 100 angle to finish.

And unless I had an error in my math... scores are as follows:

Maniac - 9/12
GTM - 9/12
edwards - 9/12
War - 8/12
Semi - 3/12
Dante - 1/12

Too much RVD/Robbie E groupthink in this group. No faith in Jeff Hardy. Three way tie is kinda blech. I'm not sure what to do with that. I'll devise a tiebreaker of some sort-- maybe I'll just do the Tom thing for next Impact.

More match exposition than usual but they're elimination matches so well, that's what we do.

TNA Final Resolution 2011

Showtime:

Orlando Jordan d. Voodoo Priest Hernandez (64)

The first elimination match. Styles, Sting, UMB, and Anderson vs The Pope, Devon, Jarrett, and Bully Ray. Styles and Jarrett start-- early in the match UltraMantis Black pops Styles from the apron and Jarrett rolls him into a Figure 4 Leglock. Sting immediately throws in the towel when it's locked in and Styles is eliminated. AJ argues with Sting and leaves in a huff. UMB is next in and quickly eliminates Jeff Jarrett with a Styles Clash. UMB's then cutoff from his team and worked over by Team 3D and Pope, with Pope finishing him. Anderson and Sting working better than expected as a team, take out the Pope and Devon, but Devon sticks around to hit Anderson with a 3D, leaving it Sting vs Bully Ray. Sting d. Bully Ray. (74)

Styles and Sting argue backstage. Sting says that AJ gets a title shot anyway when his team wins and that AJ couldn't afford to exert himself and have any chance of beating Kurt Angle as he's been pushing himself all month. AJ points out that Sting is the only guy left on the team and Sting admits that maybe he didn't think the plan all the way through... but if AJ doesn't ever lose the belt he has nothing to worry about and he should rest. AJ sighs. (84)

The second elimination match. RVD, Robbie E, Jeff Hardy, and Raven vs Kendrick, X-Pac, Senshi, and Glacier. RVD hits X-Pac with a standing sidekick into a 5* frog splash to eliminate him-- an incredulous Glacier hits RVD with the Cryonic Kick immediately after the cover and celebrates by performing a martial arts demo for the first row and gets counted out. Kendrick eliminates a still recovering RVD afterwards with Sliced Bread #2. Robbie E is next in but immediately tags out to Jeff Hardy and jumps off the apron, refusing to accept any tags, chatting with Stevie Ray about THE LIST rather than paying attention to the match. Raven and Jeff Hardy (and Robbie E) d. Kendrick and Senshi without further casualties, anyway. (70) RVD comes back into the ring and celebrates like he just won... which, he did, technically. (78)

Alex Shelley d. Bobby Roode (78) Winter d. Tara to retain (67) James Storm d. Chris Sabin (82)

RAW
Wk. 2, 12/11

Pre-show: Gabriel tells HHH he can beat Del Rio (80); nWo are going to take their defeat gracefully, but not lying down (100 lulz); JTG squashed Curtis (46)

-HHH opens us up by calling out the nWo again. They did okay last week in their matches, but he can't have them running around causing chaos. Punk is out to plead that they'd settle down for a title shot! HHH categorically refuses. Punk encourages him to think of his buddy Nash. HHH softens a bit, and mentions that he WAS thinking of having Del Rio defend tonight against somebody or other....he'll give Nash a shot IF Punk can win a street fight right now!
Rating: 92

-Street Fight: Dreamer v. Punk
Dreamer has the element of surprise, the momentum, and a much better familiarity with the environment. On the other hand, Punk.....is Punk. Dreamer makes a match of it but comes up short in the end.
Rating: 74
Dreamer doesn't like being put in Brawl based matches. >_> It's the only thing you can do besides hardcore, dude.

-HHH comes out applauding. He will give Nash a shot...And X-Pac a shot! Both of them the same shot. They're fighting Air Boom later. He trollfaces at Punk.
Rating: 82

-Match: Santino and Kelly v. Masters and Serena
nWo pick up another win here.
Rating: 63

-Match: Trish and Melissa d. Bella Twins
Rating: 56

-ZigSwag and Vickie are backstage yukking it up that they got the win in the 6-man last week. ZigSwag are a WAY better tag team than Air Boom, and should add their tag titles to Ziggler's US strap! And that leaves the WWE Title for Swagger!
Rating: 72

-Match: Riley and Ryan v. Reks and Hawkins
Reks and Hawkins get another solid win.
Rating: 54

-Reks and Hawkins go for a post-match beatdown, but the save is made by OTUNGACUTTY :O
Rating: 55
Otungacutty's turns were a complete success

-Match: Slater d. Primo
Rating: 65

-Match: Parka v. Sheffield
Sheffield's reign of terror continues, although La Parka comes closer to competing than Primo and Drew did.
Rating: 58
Great chem.

-Nash and X-Pac aren't terribly amused by the bait and switch HHH pulled, but they're okay with it. They don't mind squashing some midgets. Air Boom come out to remind them that they ARE the tag champs for a reason, and underestimating them would be a pretty bad idea!
Rating: 68

-Tag Titles: Air Boom (c) v. The Band
Quite even match. ZigSwag come out to ringside, and start an argument with Bourne! Bourne hits an SSP from the apron, but this leaves Kofi alone for what should've been a hot tag, and instead Kofi winds up taking the Jacknife for the three count! We have new tag champs!
Rating: 69

-Cena comes out with no music. He says he's tired. For years, he's done everything he could to please the fans, but it was never good enough. No matter how many sick kids he visited, no matter how many titles he won, no matter how many catchphrases he used, no matter how hard he worked to improve himself. It was never good enough. And all Morrison has to do is win a stupid tag match? Cena's done trying to win the crowd over. He's going back to RUTHLESS AGGRESSION, and screw anybody who doesn't like it. Morrison comes out, and indeed doesn't like it. He claims Cena's been handed everything. Morrison EARNED that shot last week by saving the entire WWE, and then Cena had to butt in where he wasn't welcome or needed. Morrison says that Cena is a sad, pathetic man who's turning his back on everything that makes him great. Morrison shakes his head and leaves Cena speechless in the ring.

-WWE Title: Del Rio (c) v. Gabriel
Match was obviously inspired by HHH/Taka- Del Rio has the upper hand through a lot of the match, but darn if Gabriel doesn't have a few tricks up his sleeve to make him a legitimate threat. Gabriel pulls out all the stops, but when the 450 gets knees, he goes the way of Taka and comes up empty.
Rating: 77
Poor psychology

-Del Rio's celebration is cut short by the KANE PYRO! Del Rio's so startled he drops the belt, and then when Kane comes out, Del Rio flees the scene! Kane walks to the ring, and picks up the belt, laughing.
Rating: 88

Post-show: Contrived transition into the typical randomass leftovers tag match (97); Morrison/Kane d. Cena/Ziggles (62)

Overall: 79 SUCCESS ANGLES HELPED

FROM THE BOOKERMAN:

-Would've liked to get a couple more points on the ME, but I'll take it. Gabriel's also on the short list of faces I'd like to move towards the top of the card on Raw, and this was somewhat of a test run for him.

-Mason Ryan and Alex Riley's team is literally named SUCKY FACES. Just thought I'd share.

-Turning Otungacutty makes the tag division that much more face-heavy, but it DOES help with the Raw face/heel balance, and I might even be able to come up with an angle for them now!

Okay uh... I don't wanna do the Tom thing so I'm going to do a end of the year awards based challenge instead. You guys have till next Impact goes up to predict which is like a week or something.

Tiebreaker questions for GTM, edwards, and Maniac

A TNA wrestler won one of the end of the year award categories-- which was it and who was it?
(5 points each)
(Categories are: Wrestler of the Year, Young Wrestler of the Year, Veteran Wrestler of the Year, Female Wrestler of the Year)

Who were the top 3 ranked TNA wrestlers on the power 100 list (this is based on overall match quality and how many matches wrestled) and where did they place on the list?
(5 per correct wrestlers, 5 - 0.1 per number off for positioning)

You get points for positioning regardless of whether you get the guys so this should be foolproof unless you guys all pick the same guys and the same numbers for their positioning. (don't do that please!)

Veteran wrestler of the yeAr rvd

Styles 16 rvd 31 angle 40

NXT
Wk. 2, 12/11

Pre-show: Slater d. Dreamer, Chavo, Mordecai (70); A training montage is seen with La Parka showing Dutt the art of the chair shot (30)

-Match: Parka v. Edwards
Mordecai is faithfully barking orders the entire time, and Edwards executes them faithfully. Parka struggles, and begs Dutt to hand him a chair, but "Clean Cutt" Sonjay Dutt is not willing to be complicit in such treachery, and as a result Edwards gets an upset win.
Rating: 16
Poor chem

-Match: Dutt v. Cap'n Petey
Dutt himself fares much better as Williams continues to be kinda the jobbers' jobber.
Rating: 18

-Match: Cabana v. Abe
Comedy match! Cabana gets the win.
Rating: 14

-Match: Show and Rollins v. Barrett and Daivari
The FEUD OF THE CENTURY rolls on, and Barrett picks up the pinfall.
Rating: 63

-Show and Rollins stay in the ring, licking their wounds. Show tells Rollins he needs to lighten up a bit and not be so tense, but Rollins argues that's not his style. He apologizes to Show, but feels that this pairing really doesn't work out. Show's fun, and there's nothing wrong with that, but they just don't fit! Show looks pretty heartbroken, but assents.
Rating: 59

-Punk is out to ramble about the nWo and how great he and his buddies are. He regrets that Woods made the wrong decision last week, and he's going to show him the error of his ways tonight! Woods is out with Bryan. He's happy to be with the greatest indy wrestler in the world (Punk's eyes spark a bit) and he's not going to go along with a bunch of bullies! It's not the AMERICAN WAY!
Rating: 70

-Match: Bryan and Woods v. Punk and Masters
Woods talks a good talk, but he's the obvious weak link of the face team, and while Bryan is a beast, so is Punk, and Bryan can't manage to pick up the slack for his Rookie. Punk puts 'em both to Sleep.
Rating: 75

-The nWo swarm around the downed faces. After a short beatdown, Punk spraypaints Bryan! He rolls Woods over, and hands the spraypaint can to Colt! Cabana considers it momentarily, then drops it. He loves Punk and appreciates the spot on the show, but he just can't get behind the ideals of the nWo. They ARE a bunch of bullies, and while he's excited to be with Punk, he doesn't want to be a part of this! He leaves sadly as Punk fumes silently in the ring.
Rating: 69

Post-show: Otungacutty d. Haas/AAE (41, Otunga's new gimmick gets 87); Bryan drives off the nWo because I forgot to move this segment back a spot (83)

Overall: 64 lol angles
Colt, Dutt, Parka overused

FROM THE BOOKERMAN:

-These jobber/jobber penalties are MAKIN ME SAD. It's very difficult to get these guys over.

-I need SO MUCH MORE ANGLE TIME UGH

-Show is getting karmic retribution for dumping Jericho :(

NEWSWIRE

-Impact pulled a highly disappointing 67. Critics blamed Styles/Daniels v. Beer Money being relegated to the midcard in favor of Devon/Dinero v. Ink Inc. and the ME of Jeff Hardy v. Bully Ray falling flat.

War- 5/5
GTM- 5/5
Gr8- 5/5

Dante- 4/5
Lopen- 4/5

Everybody picked Williams to go over Dutt, which I found interesting. Obvious bonus was obvious. The big news here is Maniac (and eddv) missing in an otherwise quiet show, but War DOES gain a point on a couple other people as well. This is starting to get a bit one-sided, but we still have a ways to go!

War- 35/36
Dante- 29/36
Gr8- 28/36
Maniac- 27/31
Lopen- 24/36
GTM- 24/36
eddv- 10/31

PREDICT IT

Yeah since it's a b-show it's not like the show's overall rating matters at all, right? You can just put more angles if you want and piss off the b-show viewers which doesn't matter.

Christian/Chavo
AJ/Gail
Harts
Yoshi
Orton by DQ (not that this matters I'm just sayin that's what happens)
Mordecai
