Well, I brought her along for both of them the first time so I guess I'm good this time around. I think it's kind of weird that they don't force you to bring Tita here, but I guess Renne is supposed to be Estelle's "rival" instead.

I didn't realize they didn't make you bring along the "rival" for the boss fights in the final dungeon (or at least I assumed they'd force you to sub them in when the time came) so I didn't bring Olivier along to fight Bleublanc and he was sad about it.

I do remember at least one of the Renne fights being a major pain the first time I played. Maybe it was this one, so perhaps having access to Grail Sphere will lessen the annoyance.

Tita isn't forced for the Chapter 7 fight? Huh, for some reason I thought she was. I knew the Liber Ark fights are unrestricted, but huh.

also i just learned that witcher 3 is supposed to get a patch soon (but no release date info) so i guess i'll wait for that and instead play life is strange.

I've meant to do that for like two years ever since Roba watched/played Ciel nosurge but TRAILS happened. ...or something happened. i remember it was a trainwreck of comedy as 2017 kept throwing game of the decade candidates out to stop me

Nope, you don't have to bring Tita, which is why I'm bringing Kevin instead. It's the only tower where you don't have three required party members.

Oh wait, that's right. You don't have to bring Kloe for that one. I just brought her along because she's always there. I forgot she's not mandatory.

also I have a strong feeling I could gain an easy ally by making SaveEstelle play Life Is Strange but I don't know that I'd want to do that to him

if you like the game but still end up hating Chloe I'll consider that a victory too

Tita is so frail its hard to rationalize bringing her. Renne's first fight was so annoying since she likes to open with Rennede and insta kill people

~~~
Also, officially started Life is Strange. Still on Episode 1, though if the photos that give you trophies are any indication I'm near the end? Just left Chole's house and ended up on the Lighthouse Path.
My initial impressions so far are quite positive. Max seems pretty cool, and I enjoy her internal commentary as I examine absolutely everything. Also binging on FMA good life decision. Not really sure I've interacted with the other characters enough to form too strong opinions on yet. Dana and Kate seem cool though? wareen a bit creepy tbqh.
I've mostly been playing as a Lawful Good Paladin righting wrongs and being a hero but also a ninja who (almost) always tries to reverse time to erase any sign I ever did anything. I don't think the game actually cares about that but I do. I reported Nathan to the principal (and was BETRAYED if the text I got later is any indication.) Was nice to Victoria even though she made me engineer an evil plan to get into my own dorm. Intervened when Chloe's step-dad was a jerk to Kate. Hid in the closet at Chloe's place when he burst in. I think those were all the super serious distorted screen choices so far at least.
I've been checking the other paths for all these, but I feel pretty good about my choices. Only one that made me feel uneasy was that last one. First time I screwed up hiding and when Chloe tried to pin the blame on Max (jerk move) I denied it but felt like a total ass after Chloe was slapped and she chewed out Max. So I was actually thinking I'd go the other path and stick with it, but I was able to successfully hide this time (did I miss this the first time or was the failure needed for Max to realize she had to do prep work here?) and had Max take the blame. I was "okay" with this outcome but wanted to see what happened in the event that Max hid the whole time. I hesitantly think this was for the best. Still feel awful about Chloe getting slapped but I think this was the best outcome? Side note: I'm not too thrilled about the Kate choice either. Feel like you should be able to take a photo and intervene. In fact that should be ideal since you'd have evidence. In even more fact, since you apparently retain inventory through reversals I should have both but doubt it will work that way.
the one time i failed to maintain my ninja status was saving the bird that crashes into the window at chloe's place. i thought about it but there's no way around it leaving evidence. you can't just close the window again because the bird would be trapped in the room which just raises even more questions. i questioned whether it could be plausibly blamed on chloe being petty but decided that didn't seem in-character. yes i take this all very seriously.
Obviously I made other choices so if anyone cares to know about any other ones I may have made feel free to quiz me.
She's definitely not a saint but in this instance I think she figured Max would get in less trouble. After all, David hits Chloe but doesn't hit Max. It was selfish but also logical.
exploring everything and exhausting dialogue is my favorite past time >_>
I was getting super paranoid during the trip to Chloe's House because it had seemed like a while since I took a trophy photo and the hints indicated a bird is involved in one of the last two so I kept searching her backyard for an option (as well as the bird you save.) Though now that I'm on the lighthouse path this seems like it could work too, but I quit once I arrived there so I'll find out.
It depends on the kind of selfishness! Chloe's stepfather is abusive so she absolutely had a reason to blame Max. That's the kind of selfishness that adds depth even if it isn't necessarily the nicest character trait.
Also don't worry too much about catching all the photos xp, there's a collectible mode you can access to easily grab any you miss. I should also say that I might not comment much (other than answering questions and defending Chloe from Leonhart), mostly because I'm always afraid about accidentally spoiling things, but I will be following along and will probably have more stuff to say once you finish!
that's why you eventually drop 90% of them so it's manageable. there's a lot of "recycling" and ultimately a lot of the shows end up being mediocre and forgettable that get unfairly hyped up simply because people are so intent on being included in the conversation surrounding currently airing anime.
for me it stopped being worth it so i just stopped watching seasonal. i'm just going back and checking out all the stuff that still get even mentioned now instead of trying to keep up with 40+ new shows every season.
I did drop two and probably should have dropped one other, but still, I don't regret watching so many. My two favorites this season (Katana Maidens and Yuru Camp) were huge surprises that I might not have found if I didn't try to see as much as I could, and even the underwhelming ones have been a learning experience. My only real mistake was watching them as they aired when I'm built more for binging. Next season I'll only keep up with a few and then watch the rest once they end.
yeah i'm not saying you don't bother checking them out at all. i still check out a couple handful every per season way later after it's aired. but the retention rate is not high at all. once you have a few series under your belt, you can pick out the bad ones much sooner. and the 3 episode "rule" some people cite is dumb. there are shows where it's not justifiable to watch 1 whole episode much less 3.
i wholeheartedly agree with binging as opposed to watching weekly though.
I can see the logic of the three episode rule since there are a lot of shows I didn't love right away, including some of my current favorites. Plus I can (usually...) pick out the ones that aren't worthy of three episodes before I even start watching them.
Also, I do have a few shows under my belt now! I'm still a relative beginner but I've finished almost eighty anime.
Sound Euphonium was mostly fine but it got too bogged down in bad drama in the second season. I'll look into the others and probably add them to my list though, thanks!
I combine all seasons/OVAs/movies/etc (basically anything that isn't a complete spinoff) into one entry and then rate that. Euph S2 dragged S1 from 5/10 to 3/10. Chunibyo S2 lifted S1 from 6/10 to 8/10. The only exception to this is The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya being 10/10 while the series is only 9/10 because the movie is so good that it doesn't deserve to have a point docked because of endless eight.
Final Fantasy games count as sequels or spin-offs and are ranked separately. Look I know it might not make a whole lot of sense from the outside but my ranking systems for things are consistent and well thought out. This sort of stuff is often all I have to do when I get bored at work.
Also XIII is the highest rated at 99/100, Lightning Returns and X-2 are both 97/100.
