Just got done playing an arena game where an opposing Priest stole my Mana Bind from my deck. Twice. Both times I played a Shifting Scroll into it. Both Scrolls had shifted into a Deck of Wonders. He played both. The rest of the game was just dumb shit.

He builds a board and then Psychic Screams it into my deck.

I hit Living Mana to go to 3 when my entire hand costs at least 4. He wipes on his next turn so I get nothing from the minions.

He gives one of my minions a Spikeridged Steed and then immediately silences it.

I'm seven cards up in fatigue and Sprint, and after some other random wonders I'm down a card in fatigue.

He wins with a Holy Smite, literally the last card in his deck when I'm at 2 health. I had two 4/4 lifesteal minions from the previous turn that would have immediately saved me from the 1 fatigue I was about to take.

I want every game I play to be like that.

That explains why the deck I just drafted was terrible compared to all the others I had. Guess I'll sit at 3-1 for a while then and wait out the hot decks

I'm getting a lot of joy out of beating arena decks that were clearly drafted before the nerf with the awful decks I'm drafting post nerf.

Know what the best thing is

when someone makes a play in the middle of a game (like using geist on 6 or ratting an important minion) and are like "well played" like the game is over.

And then like 10 turns later they lose and you spam "well played" at them.

I decided to squelch every opponent at the beginning of the game over a year ago and it's the best Hearthstone decision I've ever made.

The amount of games I could play in a single sitting tripled because I was no longer getting tilted by my opponent being an asshole.

In case you're curious, the current emote meta is 50% of your losses ending with the opponent saying Thanks. Nothing else at any point except the very rare Greetings.

Edit: Also, can Hearthstone please not nerf something into oblivion next time? Went from every arena deck being stupid powerful to the worst two arena drafts I've ever had at any point in the game. When they said that below average cards were going to appear more often I didn't realize they meant every pick.

i had a 6 win mage arena and I thought the deck was decent (flamestrike, firelands, fireball) but honestly the overall quality of the deck was on the lower side for most of the other cards imo. So I thought 6 was a pretty good hit.

Also I forget to squelch. I don't play a lot of games at lower ranks and the amount of bm at legend and such is lower I think. Like when I watch streamers play other accounts at those ranks I see a ton of BM, also other regions have more (Asia in particular is very toxic).

I called out Ulti's bullshit on the hearthstone board and he said I was a major troll and most of B8 has me on ignore. I don't even think most of B8 knows who I am so it was nice to catch Ulti in an actual, pulled out of his ass, lie.

I mean like we all know he lies about things but I think this was the first time it would be pretty easy to prove he's full of shit. Too bad he blocked me for making fun of him and pointing out his inferiority complex too often.

So I lost my legend game in wild due to a mill rogue playing three cold lights in a turn and milling the one card that gave me lethal. I then tried for six hours after that but ended up having a sub 50% win rate after that point (but still positive for the night as I ended a rank above where I started ) but now they the nostalgia has wore off I think wild is In a bad spot because almost all my matches are extremely polarized

I read earlier that Ninja makes 500k a month streaming Fortnite. That's fucking insane. But the guy is incredibly good and fun to watch. It'll be interesting to see how he adapts after the fad is over

Back on topic, I've only been playing for less than a week so I don't have a lot of knowledge on most things yet. I pretty much only play pvp to do quests and I've spent most of my time playing the kobold dungeon. The only time I've cleared it was my first attempt with Hunter after about a half dozen runs with a few other classes. Just wondering if you guys had any general advice on which treasures if any are really OP and should be taken whenever they show up

And how do I beat Lyris?

I don't think I've ever encountered Lyris in the dozens of Dungeon Runs I did while trying to beat it with every class. I had to google the name because I had no idea who you were talking about!

As for the treasures it really depends on the deck you're playing but I had the most success with Scepter of Summoning and Captured Flag for big decks and aggro decks, respectively.

If you manage to get both pieces of the Blade of Quel'Delar you are almost guaranteed a win there. Apparently Wax Rager is very overpowered but I've never chosen it. You can make it work with basically any treasure picks, though. It really just comes down to getting offered minions and spells that synergize with your deck.

Jades are extremely OP in Shaman, Rogue, and Druid.

Also I wasn't sure if you meant that you were new to Dungeon Run or new to the game in general. If it's the latter, I'd advise you to not buy any packs from the Whispers of the Old Gods or Mean Streets of Gadgetzan sets because they'll be rotating out of Standard in less than a month. One Night in Karazhan is an adventure you can buy and it'll be rotating out as well. You'll be able to purchase it later with real money but the option to buy it using only gold will become unavailable when it rotates out of Standard unless you purchase the first wing beforehand.

Those 3 sets/adventure will still be available to play in Wild mode, where all the cards are legal, but if you're just starting out and don't have a collection, I recommend Standard as the way to go, especially with a rotation coming up. It's a smaller investment in the short-term.

If you're buying any packs, though, Classic is the way to go when first starting out because those cards will always be legal to play in all modes.

The best thing going for you against Lyris is that her turns are all pretty much scripted out for you, so you can play into things at the right time. If she can play a Flamewaker, she will, so you'll always see one on turn three by itself, and two on turn six in my experience. If you can kill a Flamewaker, you should. Even leaving them on the board one extra turn can flip control of the board, and once you have control of the board it's hard for her to get it back from you.

Best passives, after bosses 1 and 5: Minions have +1/+1 and Deathrattles/Battlecries trigger twice are the best. The minion buff passive is enough by itself to carry you through a lot of bosses, and C'Thun and Jades both get ridiculous fast if you can get the double triggers. Minions that cost 5 or more cost 5 can also be incredible if you build your deck for it. Upgrading your hero power is nuts for Paladin and for me was enough by itself to get me to the final boss. It can be great in Mage as well. Don't take random secrets, you'll likely get bad ones, ones you have no way to take advantage of or good ones that don't do you any good because they're there from the beginning and trigger on junk minions/spells. Spell power is usually bad outside of a few specific situations, and it's worse after the first boss when you don't know how your deck is going to play out yet. At least after boss five you kind of know if it's going to benefit you at all. Weapons cost 1 is nearly pointless.

Best treasures, after bosses 3 and 7: A lot of them. Minions cost 0, Steal 3 cards from the opponent, Wax Rager, Adapt X times, take an extra turn, all powerful in nearly any deck. Boom Bots and Wish are pretty good as well. Essentially avoid whatever can possibly blow up in your face. Casting Pyroblast randomly isn't likely to save a run even if you draw it in a dire situation, but it is likely to be a dead draw in most games when almost any other treasure would be worth having. Don't shuffle your decks together. No Party Portal. Ice Wall can slow things down but with all of the powerful treasures you don't really want one that just sits there. Queldelar are both below average unless you get super lucky and grab both, but even then you only get to use the overpowered treasure on the final boss.

Wow I'm 100%for 3 games with Silence Priest on Rank 15 Ladder! Is this the meta breaker we've been ignoring? Some of the aggro decks seem to be having issues getting through taunts with 15+ health for some reason.

I haven't even added any new cards, just playing the old meme version. Maybe this deck is worth refining?

As someone who ran Silence Priest a lot last expansion, I don't think this is quite the meta to do it in. Everyone and their brother is running Spellbreaker, and the ones that don't just beat you up anyway. Plus, if you're running an Inner Fire version like I did, Geist is seeing a fair share of play as well. It may be worth experimenting with, though. I won't rule it completely out.

Everyone says silence is good in this meta but I don't really get it. I don't think it's that strong. In most cases silencing an individual minion isn't doing much to disrupt the opponents game plan, unless it's an aggro deck silencing a taunt for lethal. But say, silencing a void lord doesn't do a whole lot. So what, he doesn't get three voidwalkers, he can still resurrect it via bloodreaver / nzoth/ cube

The real money is in polymorph's or mind controls that steal the minion from their dead pool.

Well I think that silence is mainly good for aggro decks or trying to get board control NOW. Silencing a Voidlord removes 18 health worth of taunt from the board. That's a lot of health to get through!
