Hit 5. Mostly dominated opponents with cubelock but got bored with a few stars left and tried control mage and spiteful druid

Rotation should make this game interesting, cubelock seems to be keeping everything it needs though so who knows

Ok now suffered 2 losses in ladder, both to aggro Paladins. Fuck me they are a terrible match-up for my deck. If I run into another then I may have to actually make a real deck as they are seriously going to dent my win streaks. Was aiming for 15 tonight but think I'll be hard pushed for 16 now since I'm heading out in like 35 mins

I recently discovered multireddits and found them to be a really good way to diversify my hearthstone reddit content. R/hearthstone for the meme's. R/competitivehs and r/wildhs for good decks, and r/thehearth for fun decks

Anybody got any other good hs subreddits? I'm not interested in the pulls one

what? Zola and Sonya? They're great imo. Not part of any tier 1 decks, but I think they have some real potential.

Obviously what I linked was just a total meme game. The guy afterwards asked me what my deck was even supposed to do, oblivious to the jade cards I was playing at the end, I guess.

I think the games kinda look not fun to play once the novelty of having seen a few games with them wears off.

Like the first time I saw em work together it was cool now it's just like zzz.

Not saying they're overpowered or anything just that they lend themselves to game situations that look cute on paper but would be irritating to actually play out unless you're heavily in on the joke.

It's pretty rare you can abuse them to that degree. It happens maybe 1 in 30 games at most. And you still need a third minion worth recycling with them, plus probably a shadowstep or Valeera the Hollow in play. I just have them both in the deck because rogue gets fewer jade cards than shaman or druid (and obviously no jade idol for going infinite), so you have to invent additional jade sources. I seldom expect to play them in tandem. I like having each card in the deck independently, and their synergy just happens to be a nice bonus.

The new Warrior legendary is a 7 mana 3/8 that can't attack and deals 3 damage to a random enemy whenever it takes damage.

Is it just me or are a lot of the cards revealed so far generally bad?

Realized I unwittingly came back right at the end of the month, so I played some quick face hunter games to get 5 wins. I think I went 5-3 around rank 12. Had one game sadly ripped away when a priest got Al'akir of all things from the card that reveals a random spell and summons a minion based on its mana cost.

In my 3 free packs I had, I got the legendary rogue weapon. Seemed kinda meh, but I don't usually play rogue much.

Wait, they're doing two legendaries per class again this expac?

It means that there is a larger cost of entry into the expansion. Like it might be less bad this time though since they are not like specific set legendaries you need to play a deck. Like you needed quests to play a quest deck and death knights simply changed the way some decks could work. Now you just have "normal legendaries" and some of them might absolutely suck (probably a lot of them).

Isn't it the opposite? You can actually dust a junk legendary without feeling bad, and you can get by with substitutes for some legendary minions. Compared to Quests which are ALL unique build-arounds and DKs/weapons which are split between being build-around and powerful staples. I guess meme legendaries are also like that but I think players don't feel encouraged to hoard those nearly as much. But if they're moving power out of legendary that should make it easier to focus on what you want.

I feel like people are overrating that card a little bit, but at the same time the Legendaries feel underwhelming so far so who knows

Yeah, casting it on your deck means that best case (playing on 6 or coin 5) it can affect 21 cards (including spells), and you still need to draw/play them in order to see the value. Drawing your cards that depend on the buff to be strong in the early game also hurts, and if the meta is still silence-heavy it wont matter if your big cards have more attack or not.

Maybe this is a scenario where Recruit actually gets used for consistency, with Dragonhatcher (Ysera/sleeping dragon/primordial drake) and Guild Recruiter (tortollan/stegodon/stormwind knight)? Everything is still super slow though. In the end, it probably depends on the new cards that are added with 5+ health.

Kingsbane wont even exist next rotation as the buff pirates will be gone and so will Coldlight Oracle

I don't think I've ever lost to a Kingsbane deck. Like it just doesn't seem remotely good.

Yeah, Kingsbane is dead at rotation. It was my go to Rogue deck when I needed to finish a quest. It's already dead to a ton of decks as it is, but with just Deadly Poisons for buffs it's pretty much dead against everything.

A lot of deads in there...
