I'd argue it's actually worse than Y'shtola herself's SSB. Protect + Shell > Instant Cast 1 + Blink 1.

Argh apparently the Water banner has Hyper Mighty G as well as Tidus's Chain. Despite having like 5 dupes I may have to pull on this.

It's sad how far Y'shtola has fallen behind because of her terrible USB, she has some strong potential with her skillset and doublecast LM2, but with the magicite level bosses being so fast and aoe heavy her lack of an instant cast medica really drags her down. All she has going for her now is that she's one of three characters that have wall but because of RW mostly being locked to Wall or VoF in high end content and Tyro having the better Wall and instant cast LMR she's doesn't get much use even in that niche.

At the very least there's some hope for her because there's finally a FF14 event in the foreseeable future and potentially a USB2 that doesn't suck.

There isn't much nuance to jumpstarts unless you have way less items than you have. Just throw all your strongest soul breaks with the highest synergy with one another (ie usually pick your strongest element and sprinkle in a buffer and healer) at them.

Instantcast heal all on the white mage is best-- and with luck the three gauges are practically all you need for healing since the enemy is going to crumple so fast.

I'm shocked you still have trouble with Jump Starts when you have both Sora and Riku's AOSBs. Just have them RW Cloud USB and then their AOSBs and they'll kill or near kill pretty much anything that doesn't resist their elements, you also have Relm's USB and you can instant cast for 3 turns, and that might even be overkill.

I don't get how they are gonna crumble that fast.

Let's say OK, Tyro, Eiko, Beatrix and then some type of support (Vann, Faris, etc).

My only mega damage there is Beatrix USB. I get some damage from Vaan Faris, but nothing amazing.

Can you still entrust? I know you can't wrath, but if I can entrust 2 other bars to Beatrix after I PuSB that could be helpful.

Things crumple very quickly. You don't need to go all out on defenses. Support taking up an additional slot is not needed. You either RW Wall or you just RW Cloud and cheese it before the boss does much like Seph said

Is Zidane or Bartz the better Wind USB?

Like the team I use for 95% of Jump Starts is

Tidus or Sabin (main dps chosen based on element resists)
Rikku or Locke (support for main dps)
Rydia
Sazh (Triple Buff)
Minwu (Pretty much Curada the whole fight, Ultra 3x when the enemy starts throwing out actual damage)

RW: Super Sentinel

It's not even very optimized at all (with Rydia on the fire variant I'm basically just using Tritoch over and over after opening with an ultra) and it very rarely has anything resembling an issue. I mean with Rikku I'm just spamming her Burst to layer on 3 Imperil Waters quickly. Locke I actually have his chain which is better but yeah Jump Starts are by far the easiest content in the game that's difficulty 200+ if you have a healthy selection of relics to work with, which you clearly do.

Also these bosses only have half a million~ish HP, if you can cap both Sora and Riku's AOSBs you'll finish it in 2-3 turns. That should be easy with Sora's Glint and Riku's Ultra for infusion.

Use it after USB3 cause I have nothing else to do, and it does minor buff EVERY stat.

After the walls and USB 2/3 my best Tyro relic is celebration grimmoire...

I misread that as first turn. Anyone does insane damage with Cloud USB, Chant and 20 git physical AOSB though.

The new dances that came out during the Ashe USB event that debuff both defense and resistance and attack and magic, those have diffrent IDs from the single breakdown so they keep stacking, you get more out of them than Fantasy Unbound.

Oh also there's going to be a maintenance tomorrow (the one that adds damage to glints) it was announced pretty early so don't forget to use your stamina before it starts.

I am not great at judging things, how good is this water relic thing? I only have Tidus' Chain from it but nothing strikes me as 'wow' beyond Hyper Mighty G, but I may be wrong?

There's some good stuff on there with some nice stat sticks (most noticeably Yuffie's USB2) but it's probably not worth pulling if you feel your water is good for now through. The next fest is too close and some people will pull on the Type-0 Banner on Thursday as well.

Seems like the Tonberry event isn't quite the exp well I was hoping it would be... ugh this will takes several hours to just to get one level 80 4* magicite to 90.

Dammit why doesn't Dena just let use growth eggs on magicite?

So... I'm happy I guess despite the draws overall being disappointing because I got the damn Rikku Ultra finally.

Only other one I got I particularly wanted (Yuffie stuff was dupe) was the Rydia Burst which ironically I'm happy was not her Water Burst since I already had that. Can use her as an earth attacker in a pinch now.

Down to a bit over 50 Mythril now unfortunately.

Yeah. Well I wanted a lot of stuff on it actually. All the Yuffie relics were dupes but I really wanted Tidus Chain and Hyper Mighty G, and most of the stuff I didn't draw I wouldn't have minded getting.

I actually got pretty unlucky with everything else (Paine LMR and Edge Burst were the only two relics that weren't dupes that I didn't want at all so despite a lot of good material there only the Rydia burst was a consolation prize) but I did get the grand prize so I'm happy anyway (for me, anyway-- Tidus Chain is probably the actual grand prize)

1: I love watching Riku do 300,000 damage (299,997 really) on turn 3 on Jump starts.

2: How go I beat the Evil Eye and ice mages jump start on II, since obviously crashing in to one of them for 500,000 isn't gonna work here, and with 3 of them doing AoE they'll kill my party before I can have all of my AoE heals done.

I beat Earth Magicite finally, it was a slog and took 1:17. I need that Wind draw when it comes up.

Also beat Dark Magicite in 1:04

in the jumpstart, you should be able to nuke the ogres down before they can do much of anything. like, at the very least you could use Sora AOSB to one-shot one and be able to take the other down pretty quick. the eye isn't much of a threat on its own.

Just finished Jump Start.... (all 5 of them).

The Mages were definitely the hardest since Red Soul was just massacring me all the way to the end. But Bartz was kind enough to activate his Triple Spell blade twice at the end, which I certainly appreciated.

So anyway, except Crystal Tower I'm done with everything now... you know, except....

Magicite.

I have 5 stones that will completely go to waste in 3 days from the fest, and id really rather they not.

What's the easiest Magicite I can do, and how can I best do it. I hear Bartz USB can help a lot, as well as Sora/Riku USB and AoSB. Luckily I have those.

oh whoops got caught by maintenance. was in the middle of spending down my stamina on dark orb daily, and then going to spend the last 40 on magicite (hadn't collected my daily keystone yet cause i was full). i had just spent the 160th stamina before it started, so i might be able to finish that battle at least, but rip that keystone.
