And I want to be clear, Panth has not been entirely cleared by the lawyering. It's entirely possible to lawyer from scum to scum. But if I had lawyered ONTO a town then I was toast.

But honestly I got very lucky at work yesterday. I did have to send a cashier home early (toothache, she claims :/) and so I was doing extra duty again, BUUUT we had a glorious 30 minutes or so with no new customers and I was able to try and keep up with the topic on my phone just in time for the day to go twilight.

I had been struggling with myself over whether or not to use it yesterday, and I knew I had to be careful. At least when I hid behind Han in blade mafia I knew that by leaving a hint I would be trading 1 for 1 with scum, but if I had choosen wrong here it would have been a 2 for 0. Not just a 2 for 0 but possibly a 2 for 0 INSTEAD of 1 scum for 0 so it would have essentially been a 3 person swing in scum's favor. But the fact that sheer happenstance allowed me to even have time to be checking in during the end of day told me that it was the time to act so I went for it.

And thankfully it all worked out!

ANd honestly the walls aren't too bad this time. A lot of the conversation from day 2 was the same handful of players saying the same couple things to each other and there really wasn't much to say about any of that. We really shouldn't have ended early. -_-

It is a bit different from FD's posts in Blade Mafia 5, but not signficantly. FD made two "check in" posts early on that came with excuses not to do anything and leave. Tony's was just nothing.

I have a retraction / apology to make. I responded to these Crescent posts as though she were referring to the most recent game, which was TinyToony, and not Blade5. In TinyToons I knew for a fact that I made only 1 single check in post which was subsequently followed by a sleugh of content. In Blade 5 I know I had at least some amount of my "wall of responses", but there may have been more than a single check in post, and it was probably not to the same extent as the content I had in TinyToons.

I am still a bit bitter about the previous game and so I was focused on that and did not pay enough attention to the "Blade 5" portion of this post. So for that, Crescent, I'm sorry.

As far as this scare post... I appreciate the proactivity, but I also wonder if it isn't just a bit opportunitistic as well. I am very doubtful that zam is a town-only lynch and so at what point would his scummates have decided to attach theri names to his sinking ship? They couldn't have known he would have fully modkilled himself before the end of the day so they would want to creep into the zam lynch before it was too obvious.

This is also I feel a less than stellar post in hindsight. Zam was a scum vanilla, and I think in the short time it took him to go from pressured to claiming he had already been told that if worst comes to worst he should choose a claim that might fish for information. This post from scare feels like it's seeking to turn what might possibly be information into hard information.

I had very minimal time available. Enough to explain the situation of the weekend and why I wouldn't be around, but not enough to go into depth on anything.

The timing on this vote from MZero feels off. It came in the wake of panth's reaction to Scare's early day 2 gambit. And regardless of Panth's alignment the timing of starting to pile onto Panth seems weird. Either collecting townpoints if Panth is scum or a "with the crowd" timing to angle towards a mislynch. It was just a quick parrot of what others had already said followed by getting the 4th vote on panth.

Also it ended with "I'm ready to go off day 2" which to my knowledge never really....happened. #AlwaysScum

What Leo is saying is absolutely true. A lot of newbie (and some experienced) town feel like putting your vote on someone who turns out to be town is UNFORGIVABLE and grounds for ETERNAL SHAME.

But that's just not how it works. What happens waaay too often is that all of town is very timid about voting because they just aren't _sure_ about it. Then before you know it the entire day phase has passed and town, who outnumber scum by a lot, have failed to apply pressure to a single person. Without pressure, we can't make accurate reads nearly as often.

So Leo's case for his vote is completely legit. That doesn't change if plum is town, nor does it change if Leo is mafia. The reasoning is good.

How, my dear Leo, do you expect to create this amazing pressure that will get reactions from Plum when you straight up tell him your vote has no conviction behind it? Strikes me as trying to look like you're doing some good town work but overplaying your hand on how you describe the process - outside of games it's cool to talk about voting people just to see what happens, but in a game it doesn't contribute to actual scum hunting to tell your target you have no real reason for voting them, because that makes them far less likely to feel pressure from it.

As far as other people go, I like Zam so far. I think I like Puns as town (though I'm not sure I buy the miller claim). Zach only posted a few times but it was enough to get me thinking he might be scum.

Of course I'm "serious". plum is a player I've always been somewhat in tune with and I think I'm onto something. After years of playing mafia though, I finally learned how to not drive a point into the ground when it's objectively not a very thorough argument. Just say it and be done with it. So I am glad that Leo is adding that "oomph" to the lynch to give it more support without trying to fabricate some impossible amount of confidence in the accuracy of the lynch based on minimal content (literally one plum post).

I'm also grateful to death and Han, though I award them no town points yet.
