I read that the Wolves are only playing Prince songs in the arena tonight. I don't have a strong opinion about Prince but Minnesotans definitely have a way cooler famous musician than we do.

Ours is like, 3OH!3 or something, who are just terrible. Actually the real answer is probably The Fray in terms of overall fame but I remember 3OH!3 was like a point of pride here for a while, cause The Fray are too boring to care about

I just remembered 3oh3 somehow did a collab with Katy Perry so I guess they did make it pretty big

Nelly is our biggest recent one but we also have Chuck Berry who is of course a legend. But that's all I can think of right now other than a bunch of other guys around Nelly's heyday who had one or two hits, namely Chingy and J-Kwon. Tipsy is so fucking bad though.

Stadiums around here play Journey or Santana when they want to appeal to the locals, but that music is trash compared to the masterpieces of Papa Roach.

I guess they had the Golden Joystick awards, whatever that is, and Fortnite won game of the year. Whatever. I bring it up because Octopath Traveler won best Nintendo game and it makes me wonder why all gaming award shows are held before the end of the year. Smash is ineligible for 2018 awards because it comes out in December. That's so dumb. The Oscars don't do that.

I'm up to 88% story progress in RDR2. It kinda bums me out to be that close to the end.

Do you guys ever upgrade your PCs with new parts? Mine is pretty much fine but I'm going to put in an SSD and maybe some RAM just cause I feel like spending money on something nice for myself. IIRC I haven't upgraded my current hardware at all yet and I've had it for over five years.

Also I know what I'm doing (for the most part), just asking cause I'm curious

At a certain point like in any open world game it feels silly (at least to me) to be doing anything other than the urgent story missions so eventually I just started knocking a bunch of them out in order.

Haven't upgraded my PC in a while (using a laptop), but it's pretty straightforward. Especially with an SSD, which is basically plug and play if you aren't using it as your boot drive.

I want to have the OS and programs on the SSD and all my documents on the existing HDD. Not necessarily, you can still put games and key programs on it and get some benefit. Obviously, putting the OS on the SSD is ideal, but it's also a lot more time consuming.

Personally, I would still rather go through that process than doing a processor upgrade, personally. Even if the socket type doesn't change, it's a lot more fiddly of a job.

Honestly, the biggest thing I'm unsure about is if I can get Windows to let me put my "official" user folders on a secondary drive. Transferring files sucks but whatever, it's just a one-time thing hopefully and then I probably won't touch this kind of upgrade again for this computer.

I wouldn't bother upgrading stuff like the processor, I'd just get a new computer at that point. I've put new RAM and HDDs in computers before because that's easy

Ordered Let's Go Eevee from Wal-Mart just now because Amazon is having issues in my area and it wouldn't come until Friday with Prime shipping. Feels weird.

They're not making it easy for the PotD Sports Topic Crew to play this game.

I started Let's Go and I love my Eevee (named Brutus) very very much. This is the best game ever made (way better than RDR2). If you don't get this game, throw your Switch in the garbage.

Damn, this Amazon delay is really fucking me up. I know they can't control their distribution center getting hit by a tornado, but when I go there and see that I can't get something until next Monday if I order today, it's weird. The whole reason I pay for Prime is to get stuff quick.
