Man, playing FFXV made me kinda nostalgic for the original Final Fantasy that started it all.

I only remember playing the GBA version of it a loooong time ago. But now that I can, I kinda want to play the, supposedly, definitive PSP version of it.

So I'll do it! I'll play the original (well, not really original since it's a remake) Final Fantasy, alongside the newest Final Fantasy.

Now, I'll obviously stick to the base three classes of Fighter/WMage/BMage, but who should my fourth be?

If you still have not chosen a party setup, I played through as every class combination waaay back in the day lol. Honestly I'd say F/F/Wm/BM is probably the easiest run through, but not neccesarily the most fun. I always liked black belts/monks alot, and they do insane damage late game. If you don't mind grinding a bit they make it super easy to obliterate pretty much everything.

RMage/Rmage/Bmage/Bmage can be a literal blast heh.....it's over kill though, you never need that much AoE spells.....and Rmages are not the most defensive (and you miss out on the best wmage spells. Still it's kinda fun to be able to focus on enemy elemental weak spots as well.

Anyway, my favorite all of 1 class combo was Black belt.
Most diverse/defensive was F/F/Wm/Bm

Red mages are meh to me, they are ok, but miss out end game on being the best in either case. I mainly like them if I want more then tiny white mage spells, but don't want to waste a slot on a white mage.

Hardest all of 1 class was easily Wmage btw, I only ever did that once. Every other class worked fairly well, although 4 Blmage wasn't great either.

Fighter rocks to have since it makes use of the most equipment, it's defense is insane late game, and it's damage (at least for the first 2 fighters) is on par with black belts that don't power level (although you can easily power level with black belts because they kill bosses faster and faster, so if you can just keep fighting them (like the one in the earth cave) you can level them up very fast).

4 black belts don't really need a white mage at all, or healing, cause well...they obliterate everything heh.

I went with a Red Mage for the fourth member, and I've been having a pretty good time with it.

Just got done promoting the party, level 32, and now on my way to the third crystal.

Now that I'm playing through this game, it's kinda giving me ideas on doing a full series run on the PSP, since the first 4 games are on it.

I seriously did that not long ago but got distracted playing 3 (6) again (my favorite but I have played it soo many times) and didn't go back.

Yeah Rmage is a great choice, not as defensive, but gives you backup AoE for bMage, backup healing (Better then fighter), and can use the other best weapon (the one fighter isn't using masume or whatever it was), so good melee as well.

I just love black belts *grin*

Only two weeks left 'till the end of the anime season now, can't wait to watch some new stuff.

I was excited until I actually looked at this season. Only thing I'm actually excited to see is demon slayer which is 2 cour so it's not finishing till next season. I do get the last 4 eps of shield hero at least. Might watch dororo, OPM S2, and isekai quartet but honestly none of them really excite me.

Just checked up on next season and it looks like isekai is still in full bloom. Theres Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou which seems like an extremely shameless shield hero ripoff. Like seriously, read the synopsis. I know all isekai are pretty similar but this is the exact same shit. Whatever, shield hero is fine and I can't be picky for originality it seems so hopefully it'll manage to be decent.

Then we have the isekai whose special gimmick is that it's actually not isekai even though it's written just like one with DanMachi S3.

Dr Stone looks potentially interesting but the tags and art make me think it'll be too shonen for my tastes. Basically everyone gets turned into statues all over the world instantly and then hundreds of years later our two mains un-petrify and they try to work together to wake up everyone else. Still might check it out or at least keep an eye open for impressions.

Then HOLY SHIT is that vinland saga?!? I've never read it but heard it put on par with berserk several times. I thought that was one of those "never gonna get an anime" manga. Viking seinen action anime. Fuck yeah finally something that I'm actually looking forward too. Hopefully it won't be a CGI abomination like berserk. Wit studio (attack on titan) are handling it so that seems promising.

Another magical index spinoff. More isekai. Ecchi about girls using dumbbells..Then literally this "Do You Like Your Mom? Her Normal Attack is Two Attacks at Full Power, Okaasan online " a mother son isekai. I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or impressed with japan. After looking it up more apparently it's like a meta-humor comedy so actually maybe it'll be pretty funny.

After that it's EVEN MORE isekai. This has to have reached the saturation point by now right? A few sci-fi shows but most of them just sound like crap from the synopsis. Cop craft actually seemed like it might be amusing but it was by a studio I didn't recognize (Millepensee). Turns out the only notable thing they've really worked on was berserk 2016/17. Oof.

Theres a couple other shows that I feel like have maybe a 5% chance of being good but aside from vinland saga, doesn't look like a very hype season to me. Hopefully there are some surprises.

All I care about is when the next cream of the crop anime will come out. Usually manganerds know which of these are going to be good, my friend lol XD He says Dr. Stone will be good, heres hoping.

I love the isekai setting. I really wish there was a game with an isekai setting. You do game's intro in normal boring world and get sent to isekai world. Isekai world is a fantasy setting but has friends/foes/items from all kinds of worlds. Maybe even make it so that you can summon beings from other realms and have a huge pool to pull from and what you get is somewhat random. Maybe you can travel back and forth from the mundane to the fantastical.

I only saw the first season of DanMachi but I remember him being fairly OP in it and girls falling into his harem constantly. I thought it was okay at the time but it's been a while and I don't really remember it very well. I might just watch the show from the beginning when S3 ends.

Yeah, I liked the game more than I thought I would after hearing all the negative things people have said about it.

I definitely like it way more than XIII at least.

I think it's because it's got to live up to the Final Fantasy legacy, and all the hype it built up around itself before release that it got so much hate.

If it were called any other game, it would have been received a lot better I think.

Main Character Simulator is ... amusing. It's a short VN that is equal parts comedy and eroge. Picked it up from Steam because I guess I'm partial to thicc scientists. :-P

One of my three favorites in that series, actually, possibly because it's so different. Then again, I like the Sa Ga, and it's sort of a progenitor to those. (The other two of my Top Three are 4 and 8.)

I finished up the main story in GTA5 finally. I basically stopped, deleted my save, and restarted like 2 missions before the ending before lol. I'll probably play Spiderman next.

Haha. The game is pretty good, but it feels like they put most of the fun stuff in the online and never let any of it bleed over into the sp portion.

Gripe 1 is that all your money earnings for the big pay out jobs are split between the 3 characters. and 2, the post game is terrible. And it's compounded that to be able to buy everything post game you have to do the Lester stock trick to have enough money or else it would take forever to earn enough to buy things like the golf course.

I was going to try getting some single player mods, but I couldn't get them working and I basically haven't played it since I tried that.

That's definitely enough to do things like buy all the weapons and never run out of ammo, but not for buying properties, which I'm sure you already know.

The only time I played it online I streamed it and the person in chat was thinking that the online stuff is only for online because people buy things with real money for the online portion. Which is crappy but makes sense.

I would like to be able to get cars and give them to the other characters. I'd like to have more than a 4 vehicle garage per character. And those things are pretty much fixed it seems with mods. But I never really got to try it with mods. Not sure if I ever will.

Started the danmachi mobile game on a whim and I apparently picked a good time to start because it's dropping a lot of plot bombs in the form of a canonical story that's been alluded to a ton of times but never actually told.

This event is the story of Argonaut, the hero from the fairy tale that inspired Bell to become a hero in the first place... and he's also Bell's ancestor. Travelling with Lefiya's ancestor, his "sister" that he saved sometime in the past, he's incredibly weak and acts like a fool grasping at being a hero, but he's highly intelligent and calculating. Journeying to the last safe bastion of humanity left to become a hero, he stumbles upon Ais's ancestor and resolves to save her even at the cost of being betrayed by the rest of humanity. A bunch of other ancestors also show up, too.
