Find out what it spawns as and catch every one of those you see.

Gotta focus on Mankey, Sentret, Venonat, Zigzagoon, maybe Zubat.

Those are the common ones around here.

It won't be Mankey - they pull those ditto spawns when the shiny is released (like Mankey). You can add Gulpin to that list and I think Yanma. cba to find the most recent correct list

I was also wondering this. None of the common stuff now has ever been rare in my area, but it's definitely all prevalent now as opposed to just being in the spawnable pool.

Altaria is part dragon so swablu is probably 400 candies because dragon badge would be much easier if it was normal. Wailmer... hmm... maybe it just needs to eat that many candies to evolve because it is so fucking huge >_> (like how many krill any bayleen whales have to eat). Just guesses though.

I'm guessing there's a lot of Hoenn/gen 3 about due to the Jirachi special research. It's available at Go Fest, but some of the tasks seem incredibly specific to the event, so I expect they'll be replaced with various catch/evolve etc Hoenn pokemon. Save those Wailmer candies people.

Had a good two days overall though; 4 shiny Horsea, shiny HoOh from my research breakthrough and a shiny lvl1 Magikarp.

Yeah, the worldwide Jirachi quest will be entirely different. Celebi was the same way.

These worldwide spawns aren't Hoenn-specific, though, they're just some of the ones featured around the different "biomes" at GO Fest. There are like a dozen non-Hoenn species featured.

I keep hatching fucking sableye from 10kms. Meanwhile every 4th spawn is sableye. Fuck you RNG and Niantic. They could have been not dicks and took sableye out of the 10km egg pool.

When you get the egg. So to clarify all of these have been during the go fest spawns. I bought the adventure box when it had a shit load of super incubators. Job requires a lot of walking, and it's been nice out so I've been going on some walks too

Reached 50 km for the week. Normally I would say I average more like 30 a week. But with the special rewards this week I tried to get more distance in.

Didn't get it last week. Was sick for a good part of it.

What are the typical awards for it?

I usually manage 5 and get about twenty pokeballs.

25 km is like 20 pokeballs and a 5 km egg. I honestly don't hit 50 on a regular basis so I don't remember what that gets.

But the reward for 50 today also has 15 rare candies and 50K stardust

5km: 20 Poke balls
25km: 10 Great balls + 1,000 dust + 3 rare candies or silver pinaps, high chance of a 5km egg
50km: 5 Ultra balls + 5,000 dust + 5 rare candies or silver pinaps, high chance of a 10km egg

These rewards stack - if you hit 50km, you get that reward plus the 5km and 2km rewards. Need egg and Pokemon storage space to get the eggs, of course. These reward eggs have much more focused pools of possible hatches - the 10km egg in particular is all rare/valuable stuff, and probably your best chance to hatch Riolu:

I always immediately throw away the 20 balls from the 5km because too many items. I rarely hit the next tier and have never gotten to 50km but those rewards look really good. I never knew they could give eggs. I've never had an empty egg slot when collecting.

Yes. GO Fest attendees got theirs this weekend, the rest of us should be getting a new special research for it soon. Last year, Celebi's worldwide release was about a month after its GO Fest release, for what it's worth.

Looks like all rewards should be active as of 1 pm today. 1/2 hatch distance will only work on newly incubated eggs. Not ones already incubating
