Tyro USB4 is useful for all physical elements. The main reason it gets so used much is because Odin and 6* Magicite like to stack damage reductions making it hard to break their savage modes with Awakenings, and Tyro's crit boosts makes it more consistent. By itself it's worth 100 mythril with how futureproof it's been in Japan so far. Even Awakenings are at risk of being obsolete from synchros.

I got a rainbow off the daily today, Fang super, it's a wind boosting bracer so it's a keeper for now.

like half the synchros now don't really combine well with awakenings, they just allow you to be effective for longer than 15 seconds. i guess you could still call that complementing with how long 6* magicite fights can be.

but i'm not familiar with how Tyro awakening works, for all i know he might need USB4 to maintain effectiveness in a long fight, too.

Just need to, again, go through relics and see what I can toss in the vault (unless I get a combinable copy later) or turn into rainbow crystals, as I'm close to the limit again. Damn accessories.

It's only a minor upgrade over his USB4, and it's on a not so great banner, is a 30% attack and defense buff really worth the RNG risk? (Especially since you'll probably hit the attack cap anyway with a gen2 chain and artifacts, and most Odin/6* Magicite movesets are piercing)

Also his awakening only gives quickcast to support moves while his USB4 is quick cast on everything.

I dunno, I think I can too but I also feel like this banner is probably cursed towards me, I got the worst relic twice which was already a dupe prior.

Maybe I should just spend the last 25 mythril on RoP since I skipped most of it, at least I'd get more rainbow crystals for artifacts.

Edit-Well I did some RoP pulls- FFX, got a dupe of Seymour's dualcast LM... Did FF2 and got Firion's dualcast combat (not a dupe, but ugh) and Scott burst, I should just hold off till I feel luckier...

Feels like there's a cloud of bad luck over this group when banner 5 hit, I got 5 mythril from daily log in and the record dungeons and did the FF14 RoP and got Estinien's LMR, it's new... but yuck!

I guess since I'll try to make lemonade out of lemons since I didn't get Celes Awakening I wonder if I should invest in Eight since I got his USB earlier off banner 5, his USB does seem pretty good so he could make a decent replacement for Sora for Syldra/Wind Odin and the T-0 Torment, but two things are holding me back- his lack of a dualcast (granted he gets 4 chases with his EX mode) and I don't really want to make the ice monk skill since there's only 3 ice monks in the game which seems like a petty use for those rubies unless he ends up being key to sub30ing Nox Suzaku to earn them back.

I saw someone on Reddit mention Prishe's SSB for this fight so I grabbed it from the Anima Lens shop. This clear was basically Shantotto with Awakening+Arcane, Aphmau's USB, Prishe's SSB, and two warm bodies. Managed to grab my screenshot when you can see Shantotto finishing him off with her Arcane. I did get one triplecast from Shantotto's LMR, without that it wouldn't have bee sub 30.

Shantotto was charging her Arcane when this happened, although I think we're probably still a bit short even if she got it off. (Died to the second Savage Elemental Drive in phase 2/3). I had to learn to delay a little until after the the Savage Zantetsuken because before I was bringing his health down below 61% and raising his rage level by 3 right before he tossed that off.

That definitely looks like more than 300.000 health (10%). Closer to 450.000 (15%), I think.
Besides, I'm not sure your AOSB would cap at a chain count of 40. His Def/Res in phase 3 is insane.

Yeah... but I'm still optimistic I can get there with this team. Honing lunatic thunder to R5 gets me some extra damage from rank boost. Then I will try holding my Awakenings for another round or two so I can melt the final phase faster.

Team comp is at the bottom of the album if you're interested. It took a few more tries but I got there in the end and I didn't even have any massive damage triplecasts in awakened mode (I had one before using the awakening which did help build the first chain... but it didn't do a ton of damage and the second chain is by far the more important one).

Rydia is amazing and complements Shantotto quite well here - Shantotto dishes out massive damage in awakened more if Odin's rage is zero and/or chain is high. But Rydia can reliably break rage mode 3 even with a low chain count, which Shantotto can't do. The most frustrating thing about this team comp is having only one lightning summon (6* OR 5*) that Rydia claims, leaving Garnet and Elarra both wishing they had one.

This definitely feels like a big accomplishment. One down, seven to go.

I'm not touching Lightning weak until we get the 6* machinist ability for Prompto to spam between chains and USB. Once we have that ability, this is one I might have a shot at... or maybe not, we'll see.

I'm hoping to get a Dark Odin victory soon, probably the ice weak one with Squall's awakening and either Terra or Eight. I've been using all my stamina primarily for dailies since I need the wind crystals bad and have to take advantage of the daily full open while it lasts so I haven't fought him again yet. I used up my stash R5ing Storm Assault for Zidane, and am working on R5ing Fire Touched Blade. Also need wind orbs for Impulse Dive, the new Celerity, machinist lightning imperil and Dark Valefor eventually. Sheesh no Wind Crystals in this week's Fat Chocobo shop either.

Also did an inpulse pull on FF1 RoP hoping for something for WoL, got his dupe attack boost Legend Materia. Man, this RoP is even worse than the one time where Penelo's dualcast LM was the best thing I got, just dupes and crap besides Krile's earth USB, even that's pretty useless at this point since I have two earth boosting mage artifacts and the USB is meh by itself. It stings even harder knowing how much better the pools have become since then too.

You will get a bunch of lenses from upcoming events, so those 35 don't matter all that much, all things considered. But I'll probably try a few runs later today, or maybe tomorrow.

This fest I cleared out my transcendent backlog by killing Bahamut and Shinryu&Omega. If I can do Omega Weapon, I'd be caught up on Transcendants for the first time since Nemesis.

Finished this month's crystal tower. I used to hate the crystal tower because putting together 4 completely separate teams was tough. But thanks to power creep it's super easy now and I love the rewards... 48 crystals and 250 5* motes!

Got Lakshmi down. Seph AASB/USB2 + Demon's Cross spam under chain and trance is absolute murder. Got 2 copies, need 2 more, then will inherit Seraph and be good to go. Then likely onto Deathgaze.

So apparently, if Alphinaud is confused when his USB expires and Deathflare triggers, it can target your own party. I was a hair away from beating Adamantoise when it triggered, and everyone got hit for 9999x5.

That savage mode is no joke though, 50% damage reduction is brutal, and he uses it so damn often. Took a while into the holy chain for Roxas to start breaking savage with Healing Smite under AASB. Agrias the MVP with the imperils (with help from the occasional proc from Elarra's de'dia). Quite happy to get a 5* magicite sub30ed without relying on Sephiroth AASB(+USB2 for Lakshmi). Gotta get 3 more copies, then that's likely good enough (probably inherit Necrophobe for the dampen light 10).

Not sure where to go after this. Don't think I have enough holy magic to take down Ark.

No it's definitely been bad luck, majority of the relics I've pulled have been dupes or stuff that's so bad it's not even Cid Mission worthy. If I recall right-

Not that it still helps you, but I absorbed Curaga after he used it in phase 2.
In phase 3, Meltdown doesn't happen until the 3rd turn, and I killed phase 3 before he got that far.
