I'll lynch Lolo if we can focus long enough to get Mzero to claim. Lynching Mzero is also fine. Bodyguards and Bulletproof claims are the favourite claims of scum, historically. They're roles that do exist as town, but only scum ever wants to claim them openly.

I recall a game on b8 where three people claimed miller day 1 and sure enough one was scum. I think it was the second miller in that case but yeah-- took a long time to resolve the claims too. Scum claiming something implausible under confusion in an attempt to look better later isn't anything new or particularly suicidal. Claims like that take a good while to be punished. Still think the long game for Lolo was he knows the other two Potter claims are legit and wants them to "clear" him.

I thought his actions were scummy day 1 because I interpreted them coming from scum. I think he's shown more sides to his thinking since then and and I can now accept his day 1 actions as acceptable for town. But my read changed from scum to town. Not from scum to 55% town. Are Pez's 45% of scum actions so bad you cant see them coming from town Pez? Because if that's the case he's not town! And vice versa. He cant be both.

I read people the same way. Unless they do something drastically scummy or towny my read just kind of slides around

It appears that people are assuming scum will just all claim their actual flavours after 5tar died, so perhaps they'll never feel the need to shoot 5tar and Lolo can "guard" him forever

You went all the way up to like what, 90% or 80% scum at one point? Then dialed back? You said at one point you wanted to lynch him the most but couldnt get people on your side to agree with you. So you were confident enough to lynch him but not enough to make a commitment? I thinks you were using the "people wont be on my side" as an excuse not to do it.

What does that mean a cause is dead in the water? I dont really want to lynch any of the Harry potterites today. They're all already on my town list and I really want to resolve the leftovers who are VERY likely scum because my reads actually have a history of being good, I just never push a lynch hard enough and never get my way. Trying to push them this time!

I dont get it. I wanted to vote Corrik day 1 because of his attack on Puns, which I perceived to be him lying to get what he wants and since I liked Puns I thought what he wanted was a town lynch. Day 2 and 3 he stepped up and made moves I think are very town motivated, leading me to read him as town. What's up with this 55% crud? Sounds like you're trying super hard to explain a slow gradual change of opinion on Pez. Real reads are more instantaneous than that.

Why does 55% not make sense? I don't think reads are instantaneous like that unless you have a really strong read, which Tom has not this game expressed on me. Like I lean town on Corrik. That's largely because on D1 I saw three different possible motivations for his actions. Two of those were town motivations and the lone scum motivation I put as unlikely. My confidence in that read grew. Like I was maybe 70% sure D1. And now I'm not sure what would have to change for me to vote him. Just to throw a percentage out call it 95%.

Say Tom started at 70% scum on me D1, but my actions continued to look more like the town side. Then it would slide back down to apparently 45% scum now. I don't see how this concept is confusing.

Maybe it's specifically confusing in this instance and not as a concept? I got the impression though that you find this concept unreal itself.

As for the highly accurate comment you made. When we've actually claimed ROOMMATE POWERS we've each only been wrong once. But it's not a point either of us immediately get to. The read evolves. He has not claimed roommate powers on me and I have not claimed roommate powers on him. In fact I had a whole post where I said based on the fact that we haven't played much recently on our own or together and the fact that we haven't lived in the same state let alone together in more than half a decade that I was no longer confident in claiming that phrase anymore. I cite last game, WWE mafia. I had a good read on him. I thought he was scum and he was. But I wasn't confident in that read at all. You should pay attention to what we say about each other. And then you should take that information and weigh it against your own read.

You've called my explanations of this fake. I'm curious what part of this sounds fake? Maybe I can explain it better.

Pretty sure Ben has consistently said I should be lynched before Tom. He thinks any combination is possible except me town and Tom scum. He thinks the next most unlikely is both of us town. Which leaves two scenarios he thinks have the most probability, both have me as scum. Him voting me over Tom sounds entirely consistent with what he's said.
