If I remember my Star Wars lore right, slavery was illegal in the republic but a lot of the Galaxy, including Tatooine was outside their jurisdiction. The Empire expanded that and as a result ended slavery in much of the galaxy, with the downside being brutal colonialist and fascist rule.

Star Wars is kind of dark when you actually think about the implications.

Lasa. Please. For the love of God. You criticized Corrik for using FoxNews. The ONLY person who got on your case about that specific thing was Corrik himself. People THEN got upset with you because you went from 0 to 60 and immediately called him a "shitsack" over what was a minor insult at worst, and needlessly blew up a situation that didn't need to blow up, while simultaneously derailing your own accurate argument that FoxNews should not be one's go-to source of news and information.

You need to stop this. You need to stop the self-victimization and stop acting like other users are getting special treatment, because ultimately it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and people DO start to treat you with less respect as a result of acting like people always disrespect YOU specifically, and no one else. I disagree with that, but it's literally one post, and he's right about it being a pointless distraction at least. You're mischaracterizing his reaction as being especially inflammatory towards yourself, when it wasn't. Then the next page of the topic, he got upset at you for dragging out the conversation and turning the topic into a fight over whether you're being bullied, which led to a news story about police brutality getting lost amongst a flurry of pointless drama.

The source matters, because if you post news from a bad source, even if it happens to be legitimate, you're contributing to the legitimization the organization as a whole. In Corrik's case, he regularly goes out of his way to post news from traditionally right-wing propaganda organizations (in this case, Fox News or the Daily Mail or Andy Ngo), and it's bad to normalize the use of such sources.

Corrik does not claim to be enlightened. I think his position is that he has "common sense" -something easy to have, which does not require a lot of work or talent or privilege - yet all these crazy leftists do not have it. That makes the leftists unusually bad, but it doesn't make the center right especially good.

This is a very common worldview, but personally I find it depressing. It all but implies enlightenment is impossible, and the contest is between okay and awful.

This is unequivocally false and can be proven if you have the audacity to go count sources. I use CNN far more than Foxnews, and I use a plethora of sources from all different types of organizations. Foxnews and Daily mail are probably not in the top 3 of my sources. You are just making up a narrative as you go that is completely false lol.

But, yes, Inviso is an extremist who thinks that rioting is cool and is all about cancel culture. Hence the "I don't care if Foxnews reported a plane crashed into the WTC on 9/11! Rioting wouldn't be happening if the police weren't allowed (nay, TRAINED) to shoot first and ask questions later. I didn't realize it was "extreme" to believe that if you have the power and authority to execute a United States citizen without a trial, perhaps you should be held to a higher standard than the rest of society.

Also, cancel culture isn't a thing. It's just a way for privileged people to pretend they're suffering the same level of oppression as historically-marginalized groups, when asked to be respectful to those less fortunate than them.

How does she decide who is head of household and does that mean that a couple loses votes by getting married? Or does the head of household get to cast votes for every member of the family? What about adult children? If this was a multi-generational family living together, would the patriarch/matriarch in theory get to cast votes for all of their children and grandchildren and their spouses?
