I think it would be neat to build like a minecart hub under my base

My wife wants me to build one in glass underwater, or at least in glass where it passes through water. That would be a lot of glass though, and the track is already material intensive as it is.

It's a potion brewing station! the inside is hollow, but the inside of the cap is separate from the stem. Idk yet if I want to use the inside of the cap for anything. I want to get some spore blossoms and put a couple on the inside and the outside.

And for some reason GameFAQs won't let me post the other image from on top of the hill. Oh well. I kinda want to fight the Wither a few more times to make some more speed beacons throughout the base.

Also behind the chorus fruit farm there's a bridge across another river and that's where the apiary is. Which, I have been going to regularly to get honey and wax, for whenever I decide to use those in a build.

Found a bunch of goats and got them on leads and took them back to my base. Built a goat pen for them, I made sure it was fully enclosed cus I know they can jump like 10 blocks. Unfortunately... uh... there was... an accident...

My current project, an underground aquarium! I decided that since I want to find some spore blossoms, that while I'm at it I should find more axolotls. So I'm gonna breed them in here!

And I'm gonna be able to look in there from an underground passageway around the aquarium. The kelp is to farm a little kelp while I'm running around my base smelting the glass and stuff, but it's also to ensure all the water in there are source blocks.

Also, this sugarcane farm has been here since I started base. It's ugly. It's slow. It takes up far too much space. I'm going to get rid of it, and build an automatic sugarcane farm.

But, I don't know when I'm going to get to all of this. I got a lot done this weekend, and I want to play more, but my FFXIV static is finally coming back from hiatus this week, and we're gonna make a really strong push to finally clear p8s. We got to phase 1 enrage 2 weeks ago, then we had to stop raiding for 2 weeks for various reasons. So idk when the next time I'm gonna play Minecraft is.

Edit: Oh, also! As you can see I got rid of the bamboo farm. I have literally like 3 double chests full of bamboo, I don't need more for the time being. But, also, I might incorporate bamboo into the automatic sugarcane farm when I do build that, so that I'll still be able to farm a little bamboo here and there. Also getting rid of the bamboo really changed the skyline of my base. :0

How did the goats die?

So I always thought that goats could walk on powdered snow, and I learned something last night.

No raid tonight, and couldn't play Overwatch cus the servers are down. So I went and found a lush cave. Got the spore blossoms, decorated the mushroom with them, so now that area has spores everywhere which looks nice, in addition to the mycelium particles. Also while I was there I found a bunch of axolotls, and I went to the mangrove swamp, got some wood, got some roots and some pods which I think let me grow more mangroves. Also while I was there I found some frogs and I hatched a bunch of tadpoles.

So I'm gonna find some appropriate biomes, make some frog pens, and grow the tadpoles into all of the different frog types. then I need to find a way to get them all to the Nether and to a treasure bastion and find a way to get them to eat magma cubes safely. Easier said than done. lol

So the rumor is 1.20 is going to be The Archaeology Update. Archaeology and pottery will finally be added. Digsites will be added. And underground structures like Dungeons and Strongholds will get updated, and a new underground structure will be added.

That actually sounds pretty cool, not gonna lie. Hopefully if they do that, they also update desert and jungle temples. But it's more likely this is just a rumor.

But we will find out in less than week. Also I'm voting for The Sniffer. Rascal is cool too, but idk it doesn't really seem like it "fits" Minecraft. Tuff Golem would also be cool, but Sniffer is just cooler. The game really does need more Golems though.

So I heard that the best place to build a froglight farm is the roof of the nether in a basalt delta biome. I just got up to Y=127 and threw like 50 pearls at the corner and never made it up so idk what I'm doing wrong.

Are frogs a mod or what?

No they were added in 1.19. You find them in swamps. Breed them with slime balls. They create frogspawn in water. When the frogspawn hatches tadpoles come out. Then depending on the temperature of the biome they grow up in, they turn different colors. You can put tadpoles in buckets and move them to different biomes. Green for cold, white for warm, or orange for temperate. Then. If they eat magma cubes they create a new lightsource called froglight.

And there we go, frogs of each color. Now I just need to wait for all the tadpoles to hatch... then for all the tadpoles to grow up... it's gonna be like another 2 hours of raising frogs lol

Made this ugly ass bridge to get the green frogs over to the portal to the roof. Cus the portal is actually right over on the other side of those trees which was convenient. I'll get rid of it after I get them over there. Guess I'll ride with them in boats to get over? Also the other farms are like nowhere near here so I'll have to definitely ride them over here in boats then lead them up the hill.

Cus I want at least 4 of each, plus I want to leave breeding pairs of each color in case disaster strikes. And I'm gonna make 2 iron golems to break down the big magma cubes, cus the frogs can only eat the little cubes. I hear if set up properly it's like 5000 froglight/hour. Which, first of all, froglight is a fantastic decoration block, but also it's an infinite lightsource farm.

But I'm gonna have to do this all another day. I haven't even built the farm yet in the nether.

The build is interesting but he could do a better job explaining some of the aspects.

Interesting... apparently there have been multiple rumored 1.20 leaks over the past few weeks that disagree on the larger details, but they say that there's going to be a new underground structure that looks like the ancient cities but are built like villages. Either a big coincidence, or someone is trying to push this idea to look credible, or someone actually knows something.

Okay, first frog in place! Now just to get the other 11 over here. Honestly, the brown ones are the most annoying to get here. Green will be easy, white I think I can just bring the white ones here quickly through the Nether. Also, dude broke my lead halfway there. D:

Had to do the brown frogs one at a time, but let's see if we can get all the white frogs in one go! I already cleared the path and made sure they couldn't fall or get in lava or anything.

Okay, white frogs in place! So the trip through the Nether was more or less straight forward, but had a minor heart attack cus right before I got them into the safety bunker with the portal to my base, a ghast spawned and almost blew them up, but they were fine. But then there was one frog that just would not go through the portal for like 3 minutes. he kept walking through it, but couldn't teleport for some reason, so as you can see I might have lost a few leads trying to get him through. :P But the overworld trek to the farm portal went off smooth. Also on the way through the Nether I encountered a magma cube, and got some froglights from it! So hey the farm is already working XD

the farm is done. time to test it. the iron golems pissed me off cus the moment I got rid of the last iron bar I needed to remove they just pushed each other out of the cage. ended up having to kill one and make a new one cus he couldn't get back in but they're both in now.

Built up with scaffolding, gave it a few minutes and came back down. It works! It works! Unfortunately I can't afk and build up my froglight collection, I need to raid in FF soon! :0

I built a Magma Cube statue at the portal to the froglight farm, and no sooner than I finished building it, did a creeper blow it up lol

Built a statue of a blaze out of colored glass around a blaze spawner. I know the proportions are off, but I did my best with what I could do.

That was actually a really good idea to make that safe room for the blazes. Any time I need to repair or farm exp I can just take some fire resist potions and go in there. Repaired everything very very quickly.

So they didnt announce exactly what 1.20 is, but they announced some features. Hanging signs. Bamboo can be crafted into a new wood type. And new rideable mob, camels! 2 people can ride them, and they can dash and jump far. Also the winner of the vote is the Sniffer!

Edit: oh yeah and new type of bookshelf! They can be used to store books, and they actually send a redstone signal. Also they said that the update is out next year, and snapshots will start this year.

Second edit: oh yeah and what they specifically said was, as they develop new features for 1.20, they will release more snapshots. So even though they only announced like 3 things, there's going to be a lot more in the update they said.

So KingBdogz clarified some stuff. It is not the archaeology update. It isn't a massive update. It's more an update for builders. Going to be a lot of features added, but they're all going to be smaller and medium things.

So I guess kinda like a World of Color 2.

I'm fine with that. All things considered, 1.19 was everything I would want out of an update. New mobs. New biomes. New blocks. New Structures. The whole shebang. Why everyone hates on 1.19 I don't know. While 1.20 isn't shaping up to be what I wanted/thought it would be, that's fine. The Overworld does still need some overhauls and additions to flesh out the biomes that already exist. Hopefully. Hopefully 1.21 is The End update. Because as much as The Overworld needs some overhauls, The End needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. They need to do to The End what they did to The Nether.

Are the books readable like in Skyrim? I haven't played in a very long time.

Yes you can write and read books. I dont think theres any naturally generated books with text though? Idk
