I usually see Sucrose recommended; not sure how reliably Childe/Xiangling can hit enemies in Venti tornadoes.

pretty sure Tartaglia can't hit into Venti's burst at all

Got an ok gilded EM set for Alhaitham, but still wondering about his projection attacks. The wording on his skill is closer to Ayato's than Nilou's, so if they're considered normal DMG my black sword could be pretty good on him.

There are fewer things I hate more than that style of pong-ish minigame in the event.

Is it fair to say Kazuha Is the single most overpowered character in the game? The amount of utility, damage, and support he offers is pretty much unrivaled. Especially at C2 or higher.

Nilou is just a step away from being completely busted coz she can't invite anemo, but Mihoyo could always create dendro/hydro units who gather well. The moment we get an easily accessible group HP buffer, her damage will also jump to obscene levels that Yaoyao can easily protect against.

Kokomi could totally go out of control if Focalors has powerful utility for her.

Yelan is right up there with Kazuha when it comes to how versatile she is, slot her anywhere and the group performs a lot better.

Raiden and Nahida become totally overpowered when given C2, slot them anywhere and they contribute a lot.

i feel a bit at a loss with yelan. i think she's great and i have a good build on her, but i just can't figure out a team comp she does well in when xinqiu is slightly better at hydro application and kokomi is fantastic at healing + hydro application.

XQ has better application, which pretty much only matters for Hu Tao.
His utility is for defense, making it pointless after you play the game long enough.

Yelan is more offensive and her onfield ability functionality isn't trash like XQ's, so whenever faster hydro application is not desirable she will outperform him, especially overworld/events. Unlike XQ she still has a ton of potential to grow.
Nilou absolutely wants Yelan+Nahida together for long range application and single target enemies.

You can make any team busted with XQ+Yelan, or just have Yelan in one, XQ in the other. Kokomi wants to be together with Yelan too.

Two interesting observations.

1. Yes, Nilou's hydro+dendro team does wreck cryo shields too (against which hydro and dendro are both completely ineffective). Large Cryo Slimes and Cryo Abyss Mages are not a threat at all. I imagine cryo herald will not work with this team though.
2. Nilou's skill field rapidly drains Golden Wolflord's shield, so with Yelan or Xingqiu, Nilou Bloom trashes the Wolflord at no effort.

The previous Abyss phase was a lot harder.

Omg, with the free Blue Fate from the free section of the battle pass, I got a Lisa constellation. Now I'm c3! Supposedly C6 Lisa is really, really good.

Speaking of constellations, I remember that one of Kaeya's constellations give him a shield but I've never actually seen it. Don't even know what it looks like lol

Pulled both Faruzan and Tighnari in like 3 draws here, now on guarantee for Hu Tao's rerun (unless I decide I want to swing for Raiden cons). Still might do another 15-20 rolls on Wanderer's though to try for Yanfei cons, as she's only C4 still.

Finally finished Misty Dungeon today. Cant even begin to describe just how pissed I am about Ayatos design and how much it put me off from pulling him, because I find him quite fun to play.

I have him and his weapon, and honestly I just don't like to use him that often because Childe is generally better in most team competitions even though Ayato is better solo.

I used my Ayato so it went fine for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave the trial one a crappy build.

Fair, but I like my characters to be as low maintenance as possible. I also prefer the fewest number of rotations necessary. Because Im lazy.

Hell, its probably why I have Hu Tao benched. Shes probably more powerful than Yoi but I dont have to monitor HP with Yoi, so

Part of the thing I don't like about Ayato Is that you have no control over his elemental skill timing. It goes on cool down frequently, and interrupts rotations. Childe lets you stay in the elemental skill formation basically as long as you want, which becomes especially good the higher your investment.

Since Kuki and Dendro released my Ayato has great timing for constant hyperbloom. After using Thoma, Collei, and Kuki skills, switch to him and use the skill it's entire duration, no reason to ever end early, then drop his burst while everyone else refreshes their skills/bursts. His skill is always available by the time I switch back to him.
