13-2 is one of my favorite FF games. Fantastic antagonist and a story that both takes itself too seriously but not seriously enough. Fun pokemon type monster hunting. Way more freedom than the original 13. It very much reminds me of Chrono Trigger in a lot of aspects.

Unfortunately, you can't just jump right into it. Not only do you have to play the first entry but you need to seemingly read the entire codex to understand what's going on. The entire plot revolves around a lore blurb in the original. It would be like playing the new Elder Scrolls and needing to be well verses in the details of The Lusty Argonian to follow the main plot. If you can somewhat follow things, FF13-2 is great.

13-3 is mostly a bland revisit to the 13 world. They close up some plot points, but it's things that they only created at the end of 13-2 to make a sequel. It's not terrible to play, but it's not great either. It's fairly short, so if you just want to do a single playthrough and don't care about the true ending, then it doesn't overstay it's welcome at least.

Are those Konami remakes that expensive to call them AAA? Not hating, but I'm not even sure what else they make at this point.

I think at 26 the most noteworthy thing I did was met my now wife. She also briefly dumped me that same year. Otherwise, my life was a fucking mess. It didn't really get better until a few years later.

Anyway, most people's lives don't quite click until later than where you're at. Additionally, you're dealing with extra shit that other people don't. Just do the best you can.
