TopicWhy do people hate Jews?
Sad_Face

For all the talk about diversity, you don't see any real conversation about how Jews are overrepresented in positions of power. From Congress positions, to big name companies from practically all the big name Mainstream Media outlets, big name tech companies like Oracle and Facebook, Jews comprise a large number of seats on each of the companies' boards. This is no coincidence. Learn about the ebb and flow of money and you'll come to understand that people (groups, countries, entities) just don't want you in their club. It's not evil or anything, it's how wealth creation and transfer works.

That being said, I gotta respect them. They take care of their own first and foremost, they have a strong family presence, and they make sure their younger generation knows their history to the point where kids would go to congregate to learn their history after school hours. When I look at the problems we have in the black community, literally all the issues we have, from poor family structures, to not being supportive of each other, to not knowing our history, the Jews prioritize in their community.

No no no no no no TC, you're asking the wrong question. Obviously any well adjusted normal person would say no to the order. And as @wackyteen mentioned, soldiers have the autonomy to refuse orders and act on their own accord depending on how severe the situation is. The question is how do you break down a well adjusted person to be vulnerable enough to follow an order that egregious? Allow me to draw from the story of the My Lai Massacre.

During the Vietnam war, though people were recruited on the promise of fighting the enemy to protect our nation, not everyone saw war. There was a set of troops who was exactly in that predicament. No combat. Just hearing hearsay stories from others about how dangerous the enemy was. Even worse, they were had their own battles, the traps found the forests laid out by the enemy that injured and potentially killed their comrades. As the months went on, no real combat, just duking it out with trap holes and trees while getting more hearsay stories; these guys were getting antsy and it was taking a psychological toll on them.

But finally, a miracle happened, they got the call to arms. An order to intercept the enemy at X location. They were finally going to get their chance defend their country. When they got there, they found a regular village. No dangerous mercenaries. Not even a single weapon to found. Just an innocent Vietnamese village living their daily life before interrupted by their sudden presence. Fed up and frustrated, the leader of the troop took out his gun and fired the first shot, commencing the start of one of the worst US military war crimes in history. Children murdered. Babies tossed into the air and caught... on bayonets. Women and young girls violated. Probably one or 2 soldiers escaped from staining their hands red from this atrocity. When it was all said and done and the soldiers came back home and one was interviewed, his response for an explanation for why it happened? "It's just one of those things".

People don't start wanting to hurt others who are of perceived zero threat to them. There's zero reason to direct any negative energy their way and that takes effort. You have break down their psyche or convince them they're the enemy.

Many investment banks are forecasting solid, if modest gains for the coming year, citing major central banks easy-money policies, a resilient U.S. economy and a breakthrough in trade talks between Washington and Beijing.

The Federal Reserve has loaned at least a trillion dollars since September via repo operations to banks and they're still injecting billions of dollars a day. I don't buy this for a minute. Not to mention civil unrest and unstable economies in Venezuela, Argentina, Lebanon, and Chile.

A couple close friends of mine were really into one MLM company. I sat down and listened to one of their seminars and was close to signing up to help support them, but then I saw the monthly fee and backed out.

While they were selling products that were all pretty much useless, the money was in getting people to sign up under you and you constantly needed to sign people on and have your people under you sign people on. It's basically a full time job keeping your community motivated and growing. If you're okay with the source of your income coming from people within your network below you and can persuade others, then I suppose MLM is fine for you. But I'd rather make my money contributing to society with something more valuable (hypocritical line given what a number of crypto projects aim to achieve, I know).

I consider personality to be closely related to having genuine hobbies and skills, and actively participating in those things.

If all you do is consume media and regurgitate memes and the opinions of others, you probably don't have much of a personality of your own.

It's not just what you do, but how you do things that define your personality. I have a group I play and discuss Fire Emblem Heroes with, but how we go about playing it is VASTLY different. One person impulsive collects characters of a specific set of traits, another is all about efficiency and clearing the most competitive modes, another pouts in the corner because her favorite units haven't come to the game for since it launched 3 years ago and essentially is a minimalist player, another picks modes where his favorites thrive upon and aims to master those. Me? Completely sporadic set of goals with zero cohesion.

There's a lot of diversity in even consuming media, but I do agree with the sentiment that if you purely take and don't contribute any unique, whether it's viewpoints or actual creation, you're not developing your own personality.

no you didn't

For you.

You can go on twitter and find white moms talking about how they keep putting down their own sons to remind them of their own privilege. If you keep putting them down, especially the next generation, you'll end up with a demographic of folks who have no vested interest in society. This makes them prone to be completely disengaged or they'll lash out against society in violent ways.

If you want a successful and thriving society, you have to build up and support your fellow people. It's the heart of game theory. It's how the bitcoin network is so bloody successful, where everyone has an incentive to work together, it's how different groups and nations get ahead and create generational wealth. Even something as basic as games, groups that share information with one another and support each other collectively advance further than others. Telling people to "check their privilege" and constantly putting them down and making them feel left out doesn't help anyone and is detrimental to society.

Bezos didn't have the affair scandal on his hands and he tried to cash out that much money from his share holding, he could be tried for insider trading and/or it'll cost more as Amazon's share prices would plummet due to the market's burst of worry in response to him dumping shares into circulation. I also hear his wife started a nonprofit and put Bezos on the board with the money.

Aren't you the crypto guy? What's GOOD on the crypto market for a newbie?
@Sexypwnstar
Short Answer: Buy Chainlink

Long Answer: We're at the cusp of a... what you can could say is equivalent to an app store revolution, a Decentralized app (Dapp) revolution. Thanks to smart contracts, we're going to see new applications, ones that are more trustworthy or more specifically trustless. And because of this aspect, bigger promises can be made and things can be more easily monetized. For instance, there's a blockchain project headed by one of the founders of Youtube that is essentially Youtube in the blockchain space, where they can better distribute the wealth between creators and the platform via smartcontracts. The name escapes me, but their coin is called Theta so you'll find it with a Google search.

Smart contracts are basically contracts but are automated. If you say that you'll pay me X% amount if I invest in your company, you can write a smart contract that takes the profits and moves X% to me, all automated, no human interference. If I want to do a sale for crypto, I can avoid using 3rd parties (reputable site or person) or having to meet up and risk getting mugged by setting things in with a smartcontract; each of us throws money and the equivalent amount of crypto into the escrow of the smartcontract and the Smartcontract does the swap. No need for human intervention.

Ethereum is the most prominent blockchain for smart contract development. I believe in 2017, there was an ICO craze, Initial Coin Offering, where developers created tokens on the ETH platform to sell off as shares in exchange for ETH and the tokens could also be used for functionality in the project they were building. Problem was, it was essentially a Wild Wild West. Scams everywhere with no regulations and of the legitimate projects, they didn't amount to much. Why? If ETH is analogous to a decentralized computer, and Dapps are analogous to apps (I mean, they are), what good is a computer if it can't connect to the internet? This is what stopped ETH, stopped smartcontracts, from ruling the world. This is where Chainlink comes in.

Blockchains are built around security from the ground up. Because of this, you can't just send data to the blockchain, it needs to verified that it's tamper-free honest data, else it's the weakest link and the single point of failure. The entity that does this called an oracle. Chainlink aims to solve that issue by decentralizing that aspect, where you incentivize multiple oracles node operators to deliver data from the source to the blockchain.

There are a number of projects out there that I'm keeping my eye on, Fantom is a project that aims to make a smart city and apparently has partnerships with Dubai and the Afghan government. I'm not at all confident in that project since they're trying to usurp Ethereum's community and I see no reason to move your development from ETH to FTM. Then there are stablecoins like MakerDAO or Reserve Rights, coins that are aiming to be a world reserve currency to hedge your wealth with if you're in a country with an inflating currency (think Venezuela and Argentina), though I haven't done enough research on and subsequently haven't put much of any money into. But at the heart of all these projects is Chainlink. Like a computer or phone or gaming console or smart appliance or whatever, it has limited functionality if it can't connect to the outside world. It needs the internet to reach its full potential. The Chainlink network is the defacto oracle

Even if you're not at all convinced of the project, I tell everyone to throw $20 or any insignificant amount to make sure you have something. This has the potential to be the greatest investment of all time. The bitcoin was the greatest investment of all time, as the price went from less to a cent to $20K and the bitcoin network handles billions of dollars of transactions without ever breaking down. But thanks to the antics in the crypto world, the reputation of everything regarding crypto is met with "It's a scam". Mind you, big companies, from Google to Facebook AND governments are investing heavily into the technology of blockchain. As the spinoff technology, smart contracts, will usher the largest wealth transfer (and possible wealth creation) of mankind. This is why you constantly hear Andrew Yang harp on about the Fourth Industrial Revolution and UBI, there literally won't be enough jobs thanks to automation.

This is a completely new and rising industry so you have to take the time to learn the technologies, and you have to have foresight as to where the world is going to go. None of that "I need to see it to believe" bullshit. You need to believe it yourself before others see it so you can buy at a lower price. That's the whole point of investing. I'll drop a number of links that you have to sit down and put time into to get started.

Blockchain tech in general
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl8OlkkwRpc

The potential of smartcontracts
https://blog.chain.link/44-ways-to-enhance-your-smart-contract-with-chainlink/

Chainlink community growth comparison to the WWW
https://enclaveresearch.com/comments-on-the-chainlink-white-paper-parallels-to-early-web/

Other miscellaneous info
chainlinkhub.com

Remember, understanding is key to all this. Once you understand what smartcontracts can do for you. Once you recognize the value of Chainlink. Then you'll be able to answer the question "If you were to split the internet as we know it now into a billion tokens, how much would one token be worth?" That's how much one Chainlink token will eventually cost and more.

You can do all this, or just go on Coinbase.com and do free crypto videos for $10 and trade to Link.

While I'm still not cool with my parents making me go to college, I'm glad my parents were able to pay my way through school. I'm not detailed oriented enough to pay attention to the fine print at these things and would get caught in all these tricks should I be forced to take out a loan.

I never liked the argument of personal choice when there's an industry dedicated manipulating and swaying people into buying things, i.e. the marketing industry. Without the education and discipline, people have A LOT less control and resilience than they realize.

You know, at this stage I dont understand why they dont say fuck it and just ban tobacco.

Not that it bothers me, but thats clearly the direction this is headed. Maybe in another 60 years. >_>
The reason why cartels are so powerful in Central America is because they supply the US with opioids and other illegal drugs with 0 competition. Banning drugs only strengthens the creators and distributors' control over the addicted. You'd need a police state, an totalitarian-esque government where you crack down on drugs to the point where people must be very, VERY afraid to touch it, a la the Philippines (was it there that the leader called Obama a son of a *****?). So this isn't impossible, but I doubt most people want to give up their freedoms for such a thing.

Yea I'd be down for raising the enlistment age too. A lot of the 18 year olds they get are teens just out of high school, didn't do well in high school, don't put much thought into college or anything else and just say "well, might as well do this"...even 20 would be good. Gives them a good two years post high school to potentially gain some work experience, think it through and make a more educated decision as opposed to instantly saying "Yea i was an average C student all throughout HS i'm on my way to enlist" immediately after graduation. Of course that will never happen because its hard enough for them to get enrollments as it is...might as well take advantage of the vulnerable members of the graduating class every summer.

Now that you put it that way. If I were the government, I'd never touch the enlistment age. You guarantee a steady stream of recruits and don't need to worry about potential good ones getting swayed by other opportunities as you got to them first. It sounds a bit cold, but you gotta do what you must to protect your sovereignty.

Bernie didn't run as a third party candidate. He threw his support behind Hillary Clinton even though she, Debbie Schultz, and the DNC underhandedly used there super delegate vote to dissuade voting for Bernie.

Bernie supporters would understandably be unenthusiastic for Hillary. I still voted for her even though I'm not in a swing state.

I regret not voting in my primary last cycle (can't vote for the president in the main election as I live in a territory) but man was it a killjoy watching what happened to Bernie in the Democratic side. I wouldn't have voted for Clinton if could because of all that happened, to hell with the greater good if that's what it means.

This primary season, I'll be sure to have my Voter's Registration ID ready. So I can vote for Yang.

I use a bobby pin to clean my ears. You hook in the earwax as opposed to the increased risk of pushing it in further with a Q tip.

So all Conservatives are neonazis/ white supremacists? Just the far right is more extreme?

The opposite dear GP. What I'm saying is that all white supremacists or Neo nazis are conservatives but not all conservatives are white supremacists or neo nazis. Think of it this way, there are a ton of gamers out there, but not all gamers are hardcore gamers.

in what way?
Female models make more, female instagram influencers make more, female pornstars make more, patreon make more, there are women who make a living on twitch catering to simps.
Those are all careers that rely on women's sexuality. When you are in a more objective career, where the products or results you produce matter more, then it becomes a different ball game. You hear it all over, how girls aren't taken as seriously and are passed over on opportunities in engineering, finance, and in the sciences. And let's be honest here, who would you rather follow and let lead? A super hot girl where you're going to be looked upon as a beta white knight orbiter? Or some guy that looks like Bruce Wayne?

It's no wonder women have such a rough time moving up in the work place. Half the reason guys are ambitious and want to aim for the moon is to be successful and more attractive to the ladies. When women aim to do the same, it can turn into a conflict of interest to the guys to support them as their own success will be worthless as a attraction factor when a girl becomes as if not more successful than them.

liberal is someone who says things like "don't cut welfare" or "dont get into wars" or "religion and state are separate"

far left would be like "all men are evil", "white people, LMAO", and things like that.
I don't see how those sentiments would be mutually exclusive. I would expect the far left to share those same sentiments as a moderate liberal but be more extreme on other topics. In other words, the liberal tag is a big umbrella term that hosts both moderates and extreme lefts. Just like Conservatives house both moderates and far rights.

Depends on what you're aiming for. If you're ambitious, being a male will take you further. If you're looking to coast and have no problem living a simple life, being a girl is better.

Your average Trump supporter has demonstrated that they really aren't worth engaging with as it is so what's the problem with ignoring these idiots?
Because they can and do vote. You have to learn to communicate with them else we'll have another 2016 upset at the very least. At most, it'll splinter the country further and we will not survive with a massive divide between the left and right and the boomers and millennials in the face of the 4th industrial Revolution; the greatest wealth transfer mankind has ever recorded in the coming future.
