I'm pretty sure a ton of people would choose consuming meth over hot cocoa.

I was backing up the person I quoted. They mentioned people who can't live without Amazon, and within minutes, someone fit the bill.

Twitter quotes confuse me, so maybe I don't quote how you're supposed to these days.

Not shopping at shitty companies can be difficult, I imagine. Because, when you get down to it, you also need to filter out the local companies that are shitty which can he hard to do. And as pointed out, major companies like nestle and kelloggs own a lot of shit.

My problem is people who couldn't imagine a life without Amazon. It isn't really all that difficult to get your things elsewhere

All it took was 4 minutes for someone to give Amazon love.

I wish people would try other companies. As Amazon started to push their paid shipping, others stepped up their shipping speed as well. Best Buy and Home Depot delivered within a day for me. My local record shops ship within two days usually. Then there's Ebay which can be hit or miss with shipping times, but usually arrives with 2 to 7 days.

As far as refunds go...never had a problem. Either I ship the product back, get a cash refund or get the cash back while keeping the product.

Living without Amazon is very rewarding in itself and price checking with Amazon can be quite laughable in their obvious greed.

Avoiding the others can be quite hard cause of vertical integration and what have you. There's so many companies that'd destroy this world in a decade if it meant another dime to them.

So like, when they were made became your engagement date?

Thanks for this advice. I just don't wanna toss a ring in her lap and have that be all the excitement of it. I want it to memorable as well.

It's very...intimidating. My girlfriend and I wanna get married but the pandemic definitely threw a wrench in our timing.
Long story short, I'm considering getting her a ring despite these variations emerging again around the holidays.
Is it appropriate to take her to a store to pick it herself? I'd love to have it already, but idk how to casually get a ring size.
Is it lame to ask her on my birthday or new year's day; is that too cliche?
She's not super girly or into the norms surrounding weddings, but made it clear that she does want to be married.
We've been together almost 4 and a half years and I was really planning on asking after about 3 years but...yeah, the pandemic happened.

Retail and fast food take so much brain power, but not calculation, but patience. It's tough.
It's why someone who doesn't care can work the job for a while but then they leave.
It's why so many of us workers are miserable, not because of life choices, but because of consumer choices. People are becoming more and more reliant on the thinking of others, especially opinions.
To have to be working, while thinking for people who treat like you an object, all while having to act like you enjoy it, is some mental gymnastics.

Pay increase is the start of making it bearable.

Beef bacon does indeed exist. However beef is leaner than pork so beef bacon will be dryer than pork bacon, and beef fat has a higher melting point so it will be chewy instead of crisp.

I didn't like it too much. Beef jerky is much better.

As far as hot dogs go, beef can be much better, especially when dressed up, but I can put away chicken/pork dogs very easily.

Why would we let a company rule when we at least have some say in government?

It's tough for me. I make thighs the least but boy do I love them! I'm starting to make them more.

I feel the poll options are kinda bland enough for most people. I hope most choose a piece, but I get the dilemma of how hard that can be.

My list serves two purposes cause it's digital. One is the obvious, to remind me what I need. The other purpose is to let me know when something is on sale.

My mind plays too many tricks on me to remember what I need or else I have too much milk.

Any advice? I gave up on making omelettes and will just scramble in meat or cheese.
Something tells me it's my patience but one side will cook and the other stays runny. I think I've tried a few methods, too.

I like eggs all style but scramble is just so easy and somehow more filling. I could eat so many over medium or fried eggs without feeling it.
Boiled and poached are great, especially the ease of the former.

Deviled is tasty, but that's a lot of work. I usually have eggs for breakfast and I'm not looking to do that for breakfast.

I work in grocery and our numbers are constantly improving. What's not improving is our pay and our benefits are getting cut, sometimes without even telling us.
People don't wanna work and it's sad. What could change that other than the employer giving them more benefits than the government? It's not the government, it's business.
Business doesn't care about people. You let it do whatever and we get another iteration of cigarettes.

There's racism being instilled into our lives at some point. We should look at our education system I guess. When American stops meaning white male to most people, that might be an indicator we're making progress.
I mean, I'm talking out my ass here, but almost everyone but white males are some sub-American like Asian American, native American, Mexican American, etc. Why do we think like that? Aren't we all Americans?
