The 300c has that safe mode where at the drop of a hat it feels something isn't right it will let you limp home. It won't tell you what's wrong even when you read the codes. After a month of replacing sensors and refurbing the computer the problem got fixed.........by connecting the ground wire to the computer better. I don't know who got the better deal. Your issue sounds a bit like my friends. She had a major head injury. She dealt with seizures for 10 years after. I believe her blindness was caused by a issue with her optic nerve.
