It's time for BOUND FOR GLORY, where the product starts to get REAL CHANGES. WRESTLING MATTERS. ETC.

Showtime

The show opens with Sting attacking Hogan backstage (88) He drags him to the ring and defeats him in a squash before anyone really knows what's going on! (73) Dixie comes to the ring to hug Sting for giving her her company back, but Sting just laughs... and laughs... then explains that since he knows from her losing her company in the first place that Dixie never reads contracts, the part Dixie signed had a clause that the company would go to Sting rather than her upon beating Hogan! He pie faces Dixie to the ground and says there are gonna be some changes around here... and everyone's job is at risk unless they entertain him! TNA's due for a change... a real change, not a Dixie Carter twitter change. He ascends to the rafters via cable. Dixie cries and the fans don't know how to react so they start chanting "TNA TNA" (80)

Austin Aries d. Brian Kendrick for the X-Division title (63)

Mickie James is awaiting her opponent, Velvet Sky, but Daffney attacks her from behind wearing Stingesque face paint and chokes Velvet out with a bat! Then she laughs madly and challenges Mickie to a match! (60) Daffney gets herself DQed so Mickie retains (71)

RVD d. Jerry Lynn in a ladder match (82) (great chemistry!) Next match is 2/3 falls... it's... Suicide vs Suicide! Mid match, a third Suicide swings in from a cable and attacks both, causing a double DQ! He umasks the competitors and Daniels and AJ Styles are beneath. The masked Suicide leaves and It's now 1-1, and AJ Suicide gets the third win. But who's the third Suicide by gawd! (84) (good chemistry)

Crimson comes to the ring and says he's the best, and how he's defeated everyone there is to beat and is undefeated. He's cut off by a debuting Glacier, who says that Crimson isn't the only undefeated superstar in TNA! He challenges him to a match! Glacier d. Crimson by countout after performing his amazing entrance midmatch, having Crimson chase, then juking him to get back in the ring at the count of 9. The streak is over NOT THIS WAY. (66) (great chemistry!)

Jeff Jarrett d. James Storm (66) Pope D'Angelo Dinero is backstage with D-Von's kids... Sting approaches and hands him a drink. Pope drinks it, and then Sting reveals that he's become bored of... whatever Pope is doing, so he drugged him with a powerful sedative. He'll need to keep his heart rate at maximum or he'll die-- he suggests beating down D-Von's sons for a rush. Pope laughs and asks why Sting is ripping off movies from 5 years ago but then realizes Sting wasn't messing with him as his vision blurs. He beats them down and sprints through the backstage area! (83) (Pope's Adrenaline Junky gimmick gets 81)

Bully Ray d. Anderson in a mic on a chain on a pole match by putting Anderson through a table. (69) Kurt Angle d. Bobby Roode to retain after literally every member of Immortal runs in to help while the ref somehow misses every single one. (82) Sting hits the ring and says he's tired of this crap. Kurt is stripped of the title! And for causing another unclean finish at the main event to a PPV, he's also fired! (88)

81 - Success!

Welcome everyone, to WWE Friday Night Smackdown!

To start off the night, Husky Harris is shown arriving backstage. He's back, and ready to dominate! (56)

-Match: Husky Harris vs Primo
Yeah, I give the win the the returner. The crowd could barely contain their excitement. (47)

Next, in a desperate attempt to recover ratings, sheamus begins flaunting his wealth by lighting his cigar with 100 dollar bills. It works. (84)

Now that he's enjoyed his cigar, Sheamus calls Ezekiel Jackson into the ring. He wastes no time in firing him, having heard about the plot against him! (78)

Sheamus then calls out Darren Young. You see, Sheamus isn't done firing people yet! But since Darren hasn't really wronged Sheamus (yet), Sheamus has decided to give Darren one final chance. All he needs to do is win one match, and he can stay with the company. His opponent? Hornswoggle. (72)

-Match: Darren Young vs Hornswoggle
The match lasts less than three minutes as Sheamus immediately gets bored and interferes, giving Hornswoggle the win. (51)

Sheamus starts thinking: Man, just two titles isn't enough. And after seeing the abysmal performance Air Boom gave last week, he decides he should take it upon himself to relieve them of the titles! He calls out his good friend CM Punk, and together they challenge Air Boom to a match! (85)

-Match: Air Boom vs Sheamus/Punk
Yeah, Sheamus and Punk win and are the new WWE Tag Champions. What a surprise (62)

Backstage, Evan and Kofi continue their fighting over who lost the match. Jimmy and Jey Uso com out of literally nowhere, and tell them that at least they had the titles. They don't get anything around here! This somehow leads to a 4 way brawl, that the entire roster comes out to break up. (62)

Having seen the scene backstage, Sheamus starts to get a little nervous. I mean, he now holds a majority of the titles in the WWE - He's going to need some backup. So, he hires the best man he can find for the job. JACK SWAGGER! Swagger then spends about 4 minutes doing pushups. (83)

-Match: Daniel Bryan vs John Cena
In a random match that exists solely to pad time, Bryan defeats Cena. (72)

Wade Barrett comes out, and pledges allegiance to Sheamus. All he asks for in return is a World Heavyweight Title Match, which Sheamus decides to grant him. (86)

-Match: Mark Henry vs Wade Barrett in a 2/3 falls match
Barrett manages to win 2 falls to 1, in a match that took nearly half an hour. Barrett managed to defeat Henry not through strength, but by wearing him out. (70)

Overall: 52 failure

SMACKDOWN
Wk. 2, Oct. '11

Pre-show: Ryder d. Dibiase (74); Sin Cara d. Kidd (61); Orton and Bryan cut a promo on their tag match tonight (77)

-Match: Sheamus v. Brodus
Brodus gets some good hits in, but just can't keep up with the Celtic Warrior.
Rating: 81

-Christian comes out to the ring, calling Sheamus' win a fluke. Christian knows he's the better man, and wants one more match to prove it! Sheamus reminds him that last week was supposed to settle things, but about then Brodus jumps him from behind! Christian laughs as Brodus puts the boots to Sheamus, and then they exchange a hi-five.
Rating: 84

-Match: Zeke v. Sin Cara II
David beats Goliath yet again, with a couple of flashy reversals spelling the end of Zeke's power offense.
Rating: 62

-Sin Cara comes out to the ring and POINTS~ at Sin Cara II, but Black Cara cheapshots him and pummels him for a couple of minutes!
Rating: 74

-IC Title: Cody (c) v. Watson
Percy never really gets off the ground against the vicious champ. OH NO!
Rating: 61

-Cody informs us that he is an unstoppable Intercontinental Champion. He will squash all comers like he squashed this man. That said, he wants to have a rematch with Ryder. He knows he's the better man and doesn't want to taint his legacy with a cheap retention like last week. He invites Ryder out to the ring. Ryder doesn't seem to care at all. Cody cheats to retain, and Ryder's supposed to care about a rematch? Is Cody SERIOUS, bro? Ryder is just here to have fun, and his INTERNET CHAMPIONSHIP is enough for him! WWWYKI.
Rating: 78

-This answer isn't good enough for Cody. Ryder turns to leave, and Rhodes bashes him over the head with the IC belt! Cody hits a variety of belt-assisted offense before looking satisfied.
Rating: 78

-Match: Awesome Truth squashed The Usos
Rating: 65

-Teddy Long and Laurinitis are backstage. Teddy is still unhappy that such a vicious and anarchist team as Awesome Truth are around, and questions Laurinitis' decision. Laurinitis pulls rank again, and reassures Teddy that the fans will love tonight. He's got another surprise return or two up his sleeve tonight, and more importantly he's rocking a new tie. After he leaves, Teddy mumbles something about a surprise of his own.
Rating: 58

-Match: Yoshi v. Christian
Yoshi doesn't look COMPLETELY incompetent, but it's been a long time since these two could believably feud over the ECW Title, and Christian gets a fairly quick win. He looks quite pleased with himself.
Rating: 79

-Match: AJ/Kaitlyn/Alicia v. Natalya/Rosa/Tamina
Yup, need some fresh blood or something. Natalya wins.
Rating: 47

-Chavo and Carlito are out to the ring! I can't doublecheck right now which of them have debuted already, but they cut a pretty debut-ish promo regardless, complaining about their misuse and hyping up Laurinitis for giving them a chance to really shine.
Rating: 67

-Match: Finlay and ??? v. Carlito and Chavo
The man of mystery is......wtf? Sid Vicious makes his way out to the ring! The veteran faces control a majority of the match, but a surreptitious apple spit turns the tables, and the heels sneak away with a win.
Rating: 70

-Match: Orton and Bryan v. Henry and Barrett
All four guys get their spots in, but in the end, Barrett is isolated and worn down, submitting to the LeBell Lock as a mildly annoyed Henry looks on.
Rating: 88

-Awesome Truth come down the ramp, running their mouths the whole way. They call Orton and Bryan losers and benefactors of the conspiracy holding down the real talent in the WWE. No more! They're on SD to stay! Barrett and Henry jump Bryan and Orton in the ring, and Awesome Truth join in to make a 4-on-2 beatdown! The heels pose together until Awesome Truth turn on Barrett. Henry doesn't care enough to stick around for this fight, so Awesome Truth wind up standing tall in the ring.
Rating: 87

-Awesome Truth continue to put themselves over on the mic, talking about how they're going to take over this pla-DOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGG. The lights drop, and THE UNDERTAKER appears in the ring! Miz and Truth bail before they get GOT.
Rating: 99

Post-show: Laurinitis is kinda confused, so Teddy makes a tag match (67); Taker/Orton/Bryan d. Henry/Miz/Truth (66)

Overall: 76 SUCCESS lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN
-I gotta say, I'm kinda enjoying the swarm of random rehires. Chavo continues to be impressive, while on the other end of the spectrum Sid Vicious showing up in 2011 shows how desparate I got to fill my quota of roster size.
-A weird side effect is that, since pretty much everybody came in on the bottom half of my roster, lots of my undercarders have bumped way up the card. Ryder and Nash are ME, which might not be too surprising, but the upper midcard features such key players as Gabriel, Otunga, and JTG.
-I'm cheating a bit with Taker- he's "semi-retired" but he can most certainly stil go, so expect him to work a somewhat unrealistic amount. I've got it, I'm using it.
-Ever since the Tomko days, I've always really enjoyed pairing Christian with an enforcer. There's gonna be more Christian/Brodus.
-I'm having too much fun with the Sin Caras.

NEWSWIRE
-Yoshihashi and Yujiro captured the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag titles last night, defeating Naito and Taguchi at NJPW's last show.

-Zero1 may have only drawn 300 in Shikoku, but they nonetheless put on an impressive show, highlighted by Corino retaining his title over Susumu Yokosuka. Encouraged by their expansion, they have successfully negotiated contracts with Tony Atlas and Maruo Ranallo.

-A show-stealing Daniels/Lynn match couldn't quite salvage a mediocre episode of Xplosion.

-Squared Circle Wrestling are out to bolster their women's division- they've picked up WWE alumnae Gail Kim and Melina.

-PWG has made arrangements to bring in Percy Pringle.

-DGUSA has secured the services of Jimmy Yang.

-Not to be outdone in a busy day of contracts, CHIKARA has made a move to bring in Ernest Miller, who should fit the style quite well.

-Flurries of rumors have been sent in with regards to Roddy Piper and Riki Choshu. We can now confirm that Piper has gone to NJPW on a written contract, while Choshu intends to remain there.

-NOAH put on an excellent PPV last night, featuring an excellent 6-man tag that overshadowed the Sasaki/Takayama main event. We also saw KENTA and Nakajima win the GHC Tag Titles from Bad Intentions.

-Colt Cabana worked a solid match last night for NWA Pro, but the real story was Eric Watts and Willie Mack (calling themselves Team Enigma) taking the Heritage Tag Titles from The Tribe.

-Kevin Steen stole the show last night in Alpha-1 Wrestling, carrying Jimmy Jacobs to a fairly watchable match. Also Brent B won the Zero Gravity title from Alessandro del Bruno, whoever those guys are. A-1 released about half their roster afterwards.

-FCW continues to do just fine. While Leavine/Washington proved to be a dud of an ME, a decent tag match with Husky Harris saved the show.

-Leavine and Washington put in a slightly better effort the next night, and combined with a decent undercard for a mostly watchable show. Seeds have been planted for a Caylee Turner/Eden Stiles team.

-Sgt. Slaughter is the latest to join the mass exodus of old talent to Japan, turning down several offers stateside to work for little Zero1.

-Dragon Gate's tour has been going well- BxB Hulk and PAC put on an excellent match last night, with Hulk going over for the Open the Brave Gate title.

-RoH's show last night was quite impressive, with two great tag matches. The fed could be going places.

-NWA put the NWA Title on Rasche Brown.

-RCW put on a quite respectable show for a dinky backyard fed.

-Zero1's hiring spree continues with Sunny.

-Rhett Titus has garnered lots of attention lately, including repeated predictions of success by insiders.

-RoH Escalation went quite well last night, featuring several really good matches. Richards retained over Steen in the main event, but Lethal and Hero also put on an excellent TV Title match.

-Bubba Ray Dudley has indicated a desire to quit the business while he's ahead.

-Kamala has indicated a desire to quit the business...yup.

-Steen's stock on the indy scene continues to rise, as he took the SCW Premier Title off of Shawn Spears last night at the Brock Brawl.(nobody there was Brock, for the record)

-PAC and Yokosuka have claimed the Open the Twin Gate Championship.

-Masakatsu "The Other One" Funaki was crowned the inaugural AJPW Top Contender after beating Joe Doering.

-FCW's TV contract could be in danger if they don't start shaping up.

-Cheerleader Melissa has been confirmed as the newest addition to the CZW roster.

-How much do people actually care about all the indy and Japanese feds?

BONUS: Forget "guess the ???", we're all tired of them. Somebody's eating a finisher train in the post-show. Who? (2 pts.) Del rio

Monday Night Raw
Wk. 3, Oct. 2011

Pre-show: Reks/Hawkins d. Primo/HURRICANE (68); Armando Alejandro Estrrrrrrrada, haha~, introduces himself (58); Stanford interviews Air Boom (69)

-Nash opens the show, putting himself over after last week's win. Cena interrupts, wondering why an old man is still around in the ME when he clearly can't win matches without help. That's beside the point, however, as what Cena REALLY wants is the title. ADR comes out next, informing Cena that it's his DESTINY to hold on to this belt! Cena can't pry it away from him, nor can anybody. Especially not that has-been Tommy Dreamer. Said has-been marches out to the ring to complete the segment. He thinks Del Rio got lucky, and that Dreamer could take him. We have a tag match for later.
Rating: 83

-Match: Punk squashed Riley
Rating: 68

-Punk calls Nash and Masters to the ring. They're going to keep stirring the pot and dropping pipebombs until WWE caves in to the forces of change they represent. Punk puts over Masters as a wrongfully snubbed talent.
Rating: 92

-Match: Morrison v. Masters
Masters clearly relishes a shot at proving himself, but Morrison's out for revenge after last week, and after a hard fight, Morrison's the one coming out on top.
Rating: 69

-JTG is in the ring proclaiming that it's his time. He challenges anybody to face him right now!
Rating: 69

-Match: JTG v. ???
The challenge is accepted by LOW KI. The NXT2 winner finally makes a name for himself in the ring, taking down the former Cryme Tyme member.
Rating: 64

-Mason Ryan comes out to taunt Ziggler and Swagger, saying they can only beat him with numbers. Vickie and friends come out to taunt right back. Ziggler is never losing the title to the likes of Ryan, and if he doesn't like the numbers game, maybe he should find a partner for a tag match! If there's anybody to tag with him, that is. ZigSwag strut down to the ring, but Ryan only smiles and notes that he thought this might happen, so he does indeed have backup tonight! He brings out Evan Bourne to help out.
Rating: 74

-Match: Ryan and Bourne v. ZigSwag
Mason Ryan gets a leg up with a resounding victory over Vickie's cronies.
Rating: 66

-Match: Gabriel d. Drew
Rating: 59

-Slater comes out to the stage while Gabriel celebrates, belittling the win and calling Gabriel a loser. Gabriel looks annoyed, but declines to retaliate.
Rating: 66

-Match: Kelly and Eve v. Bella Twins
Kelly's on a roll lately, and even Twin Magic doesn't help the Bellas.
Rating: 52

-Kelly's celebrating in the ring and about to cut a promo when Beth pops up on the tron. She calls Kelly a useless bimbo who's lower than mud, and then mud falls from the ceiling! Kelly is sexily drenched. Sexily.
Rating: 67

-Match: Kofi v. Otunga
Despite these guys somehow being two of our hottest stars, the crowd couldn't care less about Kofi beating down Otunga.
Rating: 58

-McGillicutty runs in for the doubleteam, and with Bourne already worn out from his match, there's nobody to save Kofi from a quick beatdown.
Rating: 63

-Match: Cena and Dreamer v. Del Rio and Nash
lol censor bypass It's up to these guys to save the show, goody. Cena and Dreamer find their groove as a team a lot quicker than the heels, and Dreamer being less decrepit than Nash, Cena's able to get the win without much ado.
Rating: 84

Post-show: Cena/HHH/Morrison/Dreamer d. Punk/Del Rio/Nash/Masters (64); Slater randomly runs in and eats a finisher train (88)

Overall: 74 FAILURE lol angles

FROM THE BOOKERMAN
-...man, Kofi/Otunga bombed HARD. It's supposed to be an ME/UMC match, so I figured they'd get by on popularity, but no such luck. I guess I'm putting too much faith in how pop-based the product is- Morrison/Masters was UMC/LMC and got a much better response.
-This is the first full show I've booked since the break, so now we might actually see some of your input being used! Maybe.
-JTG might actually get a push. He's randomly found himself in the upper midcard and is doing decently enough there.
-Whine all you want about Nash, but he's getting ratings at least.

I seem to have lost my original writeup for Superstars as well as any news that happened afterwards, orz.

Nothing earth-shattering going on in the standings, and most of you got the matches I figured most of you would get. I am kinda surprised at how many people picked Dreamer for the bonus- Slater was a hard one to get but I expected more people to guess heels. Maybe that only makes sense in my brain. I think after Vengeance I am gonna slightly reformat how the contest works...make bonus points no longer count towards total points possible (because a lot of the stuff is pretty dumb to try to guess) and maybe institute some kinda system to catch up people who miss a show or two but rock the rest.

Also, people in striking distance of winning this thing, (keep in mind we've a week and a half left, plus vengeance which will be worth more points) please percolate what you'd like to do with the prize- specifically if you're going to fiddle with the NXT lineup. I'm almost up to Vengeance in-game already, and don't wanna have a huuuuuuge turnaround while I wait for the predictions to catch up AND the winner to pick. Your prize for winning the Vengeance leg is 3 "NXT Points," which can be used as follows:

-(2) Pick a rookie to appear on NXT. I will refund the points if I can't get them for some reason- keep in mind that I can't steal from TNA or any other larger feds, and that I can't hire Spot Monkeys or criminals, and I thiiiink that's it? I'd encourage you to stay away from RoH employees because I don't want to break my pact with them, but I will do it if you ask me to, because heck, there aren't many good options left at all after my hiring spree.
-(1) Once the list of rookies is finalized, pick a pro and assign them to a rookie of your choice.
-(1) At any point in the competition, tell me who the next elimination must be.
-(3) Once the list of rookies and pros is finalized, pick the ultimate winner.

This will all reset after Vengeance, so you get another shot with a new prize!

-Otunga and McGillicutty attack Finlay, but Air Boom run 'em off.
Rating: 58

-Match: Watson v. ???
??? turns out to be ARMANDO. ALEJANDRO. ESTRRRRRRRADA, haha~. He gets a solid debut win.
Rating: 49

-Match: Zeke and Yoshi v. Reks and Hawkins
Could go either way until the Usos come out to ringside, and Yoshi picks up the win off the distraction.
Rating: 64

-Reks and Hawkins brawl to the back with the Usos.
Rating: 47

-Slater wants to prove he's better than Gabriel and everybody else. Sid thinks this is a silly idea.
Rating: 58

-Match: Sid v. Slater
Slater puts up a good fight, but falls short yet again.
Rating: 63

Post-show: Kelly/AJ d. Divas of Doom (50)

FROM THE BOOKERMAN
-I have noooo idea what happened to this show's writeup, or to the following news. "oh well"
-AAE was kinda disappointing, but I'm gonna give him a good shot anyway.
-Ever since Nick Dinsmore got himself over by jobbing to everybody in FWA2, I am a firm believer in "any screen time is better than no screen time." I'm going this route with Slater, so we'll see if it works.
