From: WarThaNemesis2 | #214 Is Punk/Show really any worse than Punk/Kane? How can you even ask this?
From: Jakyl25 | #226 Punk --> Brock --> Rock --> Cena is the route I see the title taking in the next year. They were heavily considering putting the belt on Dragon at OtL. Would it have just gone Punk -> Dragon -> Brock -> Rock -> Cena, then?
I'm not sure Cena gets another title with Triple H looming, though.
From: Jakyl25 | #230 Dark Match: John Cena beat Big Show & Tensai & Big Johnny in a handicap match. Show's KO Punch hit Tensai by accident, and Cena pinned Tensai. Cena then AA'ed Big Johnny to close out the show. Oh jeez.

Even assuming that's true, I imagine Bryan would have traded the title back to Punk by the end of the feud and then we proceed from there.
I don't envision Brock vs. Punk for the title until Survivor Series, so that would be a year-long reign for Punk. I could see why they'd be tempted to at least get the title off him briefly just to shake things up a little, but in this case having it for that long help solidifies him as one of the top guys and he can absorb the hit of losing to Brock.
He's really the only non-special-attraction guy I would put Brock against on a PPV. Cena and Trips and Rock and maybe Taker would be his other opponents.

Because Kane probably has the worst career length:worst feud of the year ratio in all entertainment ever? Yes, but Big Show makes him look like Shawn Michaels in the ring.

No, I don't believe it. The feud was starting brand new, DB's momentum was LESS than it was in previous months, etc. It didn't make any sense at all imho.

I believe it in the sense of how EVERY title match outcome should be considered.
Yes you have your plan in place, but by at least considering what could spring from the other outcome, occasionally you might stumble into something better.

Punk/DB is a feud that WWE doesn't care about at all. It's filler to them, but its "throw the smarks a bone" filler that at least accomplishes SOMETHING while they wait for Punk's real opponent to show up.
A comedy match main-evented over it. Are we really seriously having this discussion?

You might have missed my point.
I was saying that WWE making a stupid booking decision should be completely expected.
WWE: "Man this Bryan vs. Punk stuff is boring. How can we spice it up? I KNOW! ADD KANE."
seriously, this.
Anyway, my point war is that DB winning wouldn't be a "stupid" decision, it's just a decision that makes no sense in context of what WWE usually does.
We live in a world where WWE brought in an invading outsider to lose in his first match. WWE's usual actions are to book as poorly as possible given the context of what's going on, which having a guy who just got beaten repeatedly by Sheamus go over Punk would be.
You're pretending momentum exists when we spend the buildup to events like the Elimination Chamber just having all the competitors beat each other so that none of them go in with momentum.
People have momentum when Vincent K. McMahon says they have momentum, damn it.
-- Ace Detective in Sir Chris' Police http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/5205/bananase.png
Which is basically it. It's all booked to cater to Vince being a loon, which is why things make sense every so often, but that's a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day

We are thought, and reality, and concept, and the unimaginable
The funniest thing about it all going through Vince is that stuff from that former writing assistant guy about how Vince doesn't know anything about pop culture from like the last 40 years because he's so deep in the WWE bubble, and yet this is supposed to be a company that does "pop culture's biggest whatever" with Wrestlemania and whatnot.
How can they think they understand what "pop culture" even means when they give final say to a man who hasn't heard of anything that's happened outside his own company since the turn of the century?

We get Byron Saxton and Chris Russo on commentary today! First match is an FCW Tag Team Titles Match between Corey Graves (c) & Jake Carter (c) w/ Abraham Washington vs The Ascension (Kenneth Cameron & Conor O'Brien). I think they're making Conor be purposefully demonic looking. He's... pretty intimidating now. I don't like this because I feel it stints his mic work, which is certainly one of the things I felt was good with him (if you ignore NXT).
Corey Graves Fact!: He worked at a tattoo shop in my hometown! Literally. Greensburg, Pennsylvania. It was called Naughty Vibrations.
Anyway, this was a pretty short and uneventful match. The finish comes when Ascension goes for a Doomsday Device, when AW distracts the ref for Jake Carter to low blow O'Brien. The champs then hit a Powerslam/Neckbreaker combo that looks pretty sweet. So Corey Graves & Jake Carter retain.
F***ing god, they let Raquel Diaz have the mic. "It's meeeeeee! AHAHAHAHAHAHA! The ravishing, rocking, racey Raquel Diaz!" I hate heeeeeer. She says that because she doesn't have to defend her title tonight, that means that she will be the Diva's champion forever (and ever and ever and ever and ever). Paige mercifully comes out with Sofia Cortez and says that Raquel is nothing special and says that her and Sofia are the best women to step into FCW and deserve a title shot. You know, Sofia is super hot. She seems out of place because her breasts aren't big enough though. ...Yeah, seriously. So Raquel says Paige can get a title shot. Raquel is so terrible on the mic, good god.
Next up is Big E. Langston vs Seth Rollins! Big E. Langston is acting a lot more like Mark Henry, which I consider a good thing. It gives him personality and he's wrestling a bit better because of it. Seth Rollins takes it in a pretty long match with his Curbstomp move. He seems to be using that as his finish now. I don't know why, because the Avada Kadavra is pretty sick.
Anyway, Antonio Cesaro gives a promo about how last week, Kassius Ohno knocked out the referee to get out of losing in their match. He claimed he could not be knocked out. He is "un-knock-out-able". Hah. He claims he is better and is a Smackdown Superstar and came back to FCW out of the goodness of his heart. He says he is never coming back though. Aww. :(

OH MY GOD YES! It is Richie Steamboat (c) vs Brad Maddox for the 15 Championship! lol Maddox rolls into the ring, then looks like he's going to do a kipup, but then he just rolls forward onto one knee. Wonderful. Now, let me tell you why it is special that Brad Maddox is getting a 15 Championship shot. They only trust people they know are good enough wrestlers to put on a good fifteen minute match to be in these match ups. Hence, they think Brad Maddox is a damn good wrestler! Go Brad! He's got mindgamez. Brad eventually sneaks in a Dealbreaker and gets the first pinfall at 12:20! It's 0-1! Go Brad! Maddox is being good and putting in a bunch of long submission holds. Richie Steamboat fights back though and gets the Super Kick on Maddox for the pinfall at the 8 minute mark. 1-1! Maddox keeps trying to make Richie submit but can't. So he gets frustrated and grabs a steel chair and enters the ring. He attempts to his Richie, but Steamboat nails his Super Kick onto the chair. ...And he isn't disqualified. Whaaaa? Anyway, it's 1-1 at the buzzer, so Richie is still champ.
Oh son of a b****, next is a number one contender's match for the FCW Title between Bo Rotundo vs Kassius Ohno. I would be shocked if Ohno won. Which means we need to see Bo Rotundo's overpushed, untalented ass in another title match. It's actually not a bad match. It's a pretty good match, honestly. What ends up happening is that at the end, Antonio Cesaro runs up while the ref is distracted and nails Kassius in the head with his fanny pack. Bo Rotundo then pins Kassius. Huh. Anyway, that's our show.
Highlights:
Richie Steamboat vs Brad Maddox -
It's a great match! It has Brad Maddox! Check it out! Enjoy!

We have Jim Ross with a mustache and Chris Russo on commentary today! Our first match is CJ Parker, Mike Dalton, & Jason Jordan vs Garrett Dylan, Jiro, & Alexander Rusev. Rofl Jiro comes out with the Japanese flag, Rusev comes out with the Russian flag, and then Garret Dylan throws up longhorns.
JR: Too bad for Jiro. He doesn't have a last name.
lol Garrett Dylan bothers me because he just makes special person noises. Like "Daaaaaaaaaooooo!" JR mentions that Dylan might be the illegitimate son of Arn Anderson. lol
Russo: So is there any bad blood between Indiana and Oklahoma? JR: No. Russo: Alright. JR: ... The one thing they have in common is that they both end in vowels. Russo: And that they both enjoy the color red. JR: Actually, Oklahoma is crimson. But that's a minor point-- nice armbar.
Garrett Dylan is like a much less interesting Trevor Murdoch.
JR: Jiro. Am I saying that right? Russo: Yes, you are. Jiro. Not gyro, not gear-o. Jiro. JR: ... Nice food reference by Chris Russo on my behalf.
Holy crap, Mike Dalton is busting out a lot of freaking awesome moves. I love it. He's being intense as well. Jiro has f***ing amazing chops. I love it. They let CJ Parker fruit roll up Garrett Dylan for the win. Gross. Not a bad match though.
Next up is Leo Kruger vs Aiden English. Decent match that ends with Leo Kruger locking in his Rear Naked Choke for the win.
Kassius Ohno gets promo time, and he's pretty painful. He sounds very whiny. lol He's not good on the mic. But he says he'll put Cesaro back to Smackdown with two black eyes and a mouth full of broken teeth.
Next up is an FCW Diva's Title match between Raquel Diaz (c) vs Paige w/ Sofia Cortez.
JR: I think our camera man is enamored with Sofia Cortez. He's following her relentlessly.
lol It's true, they constantly cut to Sofia. Anyway, Paige is awesome. This match is good so far simply because she has most of the offense. She's really, really good. Anyway, Raquel botches a sunset flip powerbomb out of the corner. Oh my god. Sofia puts a chair in the ring and the ref kicks her out. Raquel throws the chair at Paige and then pretends like she was hit. If Raquel wasn't terrible and a heel, that might've been funny. Unfortunately, she's awful and doesn't do it well. If her dad did it, it must be great for her, right!?
Now for something even worst. Colin Cassady (the worst big guy ever) being interviews by Briley Pierce. They're both talking like New Yorkers. Colin Cassady is the "Wall Street Wizard". They talk for a while about Bray Wyatt. They... are trying to be funny, I think? I almost feel bad for this right now. They do the typical New York-inspired comedy and.... it's just not good. Wow. What a shame. What a shame that they had to be recorded doing this.
Anyway, next up is an Florida Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins (c) vs Bo Rotundo. They kick out of each other's finishers, but Seth Rollins wins with a package brainbuster. It's an alright match.
NO HIGHLIGHTS! Not a very good show.

So the WWE13 roster is leaked, and it's pretty bad, honestly. The story mode is all Attitude Era based. So it's like... why? Why even do that?
Anyway, here it is:
WWE (38) Alberto Del Rio Big Show Booker T Brock Lesnar Brodus Clay CM Punk Chris Jericho Christian Cody Rhodes Daniel Bryan David Otunga Dolph Ziggler Epico Heath Slater Hunico Jack Swagger Jinder Mahal John Cena Justin Gabriel Kane Kevin Nash Kofi Kingston Mark Henry Primo R-Truth Randy Orton Rey Mysterio Santino Marella Sheamus Sin Cara Ted DiBiase The Great Khali The Miz The Rock Triple H Undertaker Wade Barrett Zack Ryder
Divas (7) Alicia Fox Beth Phoenix Brie Bella Eve Kelly Kelly Kharma Nikki Bella
ATTITUDE ERA (32) Animal Big Bossman Big Show (Attitude) Billy Gunn Bret Hart British Bulldog Cactus Jack Chris Jericho (Attitude) Christian (Attitude) Dude Love Eddie Guerrero Edge Godfather Hawk Kane (Attitude) Ken Shamrock Lita Mankind Mark Henry (Attitude) Mike Tyson Mr. McMahon Road Dogg Shane McMahon Shawn Michaels Stephanie McMahon Stone Cold The Rock (Attitude) Triple H (Attitude) Trish Stratus Undertaker (Attitude) Vader X-Pac
- This means off the current roster, we are without:
Guys: Alex Riley Antonio Cesaro Camacho Curt Hawkins Damien Sandow Darren Young Drew McIntyre Evan Bourne Ezekiel Jackson Jimmy Uso Jey Uso Johnny Curtis JTG Mason Ryan Michael McGillicutty Ryback Sakamoto Ted DiBiase Tensai Titus O'Neil Trent Barreta Tyler Reks Tyson Kidd William Regal Yoshi Tatsu
Divas: AJ Aksana Cameron (Probably in Brodus's entrance) Kaitlyn Layla Maxine Naomi (Probably in Brodus's entrance) Natalya Rosa Mendes Tamina
-- Anyway, probably not buying this game this year. I don't understand why they are doing an Attitude Era-centric game. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I like how the divas list consists of 2 people who left the company, one person whos last appearance was about a year ago and one who has just transitioned into a non-wrestler role.
Leaving Alicia, K2, and Beth as the only women on the active roster in the game.

They have attitude vs current as the theme because nostalgia sells and there's a good excuse that WWE will accept the pitch with Cena vs Rock being topical a few months ago, which is what that represented.
And so here we are. Not too complicated. Attitude era roster is pretty weird though. Why is Bret Hart on it and how is Goldust not on it.
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
That just seems...weird. Almost as many past wrestlers as current? Most the tag division left out. And some of the attitude era guys are just awful additions.
--
"Hope is allowed to be stupid, unwise, and naive." ~Sir Chris
Yeah it should have had Cena and Rock or Austin and Punk on the cover, I agree. You'd think if you were marketing off nostalgia you'd put some of that on the cover.
-- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love!
I feel like the CM Punk logo should have been on the back.
Re: Vader, he at least was around DURING the very very early part of the Attitude Era. That's still out of place since he wasn't there very long, but he was still a very brief part of it.
Bret literally left on the day the slogan began.
