I was able to get deeper into Pyre this weekend. I was surprised to see that everything before the first liberation rite was just a really long tutorial, and that the real game doesn't start until after that.

The updates Larian Studios put out for their games are so full of energy and joy. I love watching them. There's some good stuff in here too, like split-screen and controller support making it in to the release build of the game... which is next month! 2017 does not stop.

almost finished platinuming FF12. my general feeling about the game is mostly unchanged from how I felt about it before the replay. I think it's pretty good, but the story is a little low on impact and the last third of the game feels like a lot of filler.

still, this game has come out of a replay relatively unscathed compared to other PS2 games I've gone back to recently.

speaking of the Vita, I really wish that game was portable. I'd rather be playing that than Fire Emblem Echoes, which is a pretty solid Fire Emblem but is still weaker than the other 3DS games, despite those being problematic.

the ql and dan's enthusiasm got my interest, but further investigation made me decide to just hold off until i see it go for sale.

so i got edith finch instead, and i'm looking to buy rime and blackwood crossing with the money i have left in my psn wallet since both are on sale.

gonna wait until next week though before i pull the trigger on those two titles. need to know if the early impressions for hellblade are good!

1 | in a duo game with numbers last night, he was asking me what some graffiti said on a wall I had sight on. I pull out my scope, and a dude immediately walks out of the door adjacent.
2 | in a solo game, drove my buggy into a guy standing next to a buggy. I completely missed. while he takes a bunch of shots at me with his pistol, I fumble for the F key to get out, then down him with one shotgun blast.

Apparently they mentioned that the story of DQB2 will involve "your companion, the young boy Sidoh." Sidoh is the JP name for Malroth from Dragon Quest 2

They're also porting DQ1-3 to 3DS and PS4. This means the entire main series will be playable on 3DS.
