So 7/8 made it and as a consolation Tales of Berseria is my #9 game of 2017.

This tournament couldn't have gone any better up to this point.

I have played many others but none as religiously as these three. Hell I still play Super Tennis and Winning Eleven 10 over the latest tennis and football games.

Tales of Berseria

1. Xenogears - Full HD Re-release with Disc 2 content remade with actual gameplay. Voice acting + Text completely retranslated. Preferably done by Monolithsoft.

2. Final Fantasy VI - Full remake in 3D. Not chibi-style like FFIII and IV.

3. Chrono Trigger - Full remake in 3D. Again not chibi-style. Preferably in DQVIII's art direction.

4. Demon's Souls - HD Re-release with 60 FPS. Only thing that needs to be fixed is the inventory system. Just make it like Dark Souls.

That's it. The others I want like FF7 and RE2 are already in the works so these 4 are the only ones I really want to see a remake of so badly.

My Zelda series ranking probably used to be one that changes the most especially among the 3D games but since Breath of the Wild's release, it has been by far the best game in the series no questions asked.

If this is the standard for remake of classic games in 2018, then I have to stop dreaming about a Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger remake right now.

Favorite FPS would be Metroid Prime if it counts as that if not then Half-Life 2 and BioShock Infinite.

DDLC is the most overrated thing in recent memory.

The game is like 90% slice-of-life romance with the most unlikable characters imaginable. And I'm supposed to to feel bad when horrible things start happening to them? Breaking the forth wall and being creative with the horror elements can only get you so far. Doesn't change the fact that the game is boring as **** for 3 hours or so before things start happening.

Resident Evil 7 on the other hand is Survival Horror Revival and the best Resident Evil game since 4.

NieR: Automata

Could have been something truly special like the original but falls short because of questionable gameplay decisions.

Field Skills, the pointless time sink for the sake of being a time sink called Merc Missions and of course the Rare Blades gacha system.

Story, characters, interaction and group dynamic is outstanding overall but it has pacing issues during the mid chapters.

Definitely a great game which could been amazing if not for its few glaring flaws.

Favorite new series from last gen i.e PS3/360/Wii era is Souls and it is not even close.

Chrono Cross too high.

But he is way lower in the overall series ranking. DR1 just doesn't have a very strong cast.

Haven't beaten PiT, Color Splash and Sticker Star. They were just so damn boring. Played a little bit of Dream Team and that was boring as hell too. Mario RPG may just be dead to me.

Kind of depends on the game. In the Infamous games, always the bad guy.

Yeah this. It is called 'inFamous' for a reason. So much more fun being the bad guy.

You should try inFamous 2 if you liked 1. It is better in every conceivable way except the story. I personally didn't like Second Sun so much though.

Just came in to say AAI2's Justine Courtney is one of the worst AA characters and by far the worst rival character in the series. I'm playing the beginning of case 4 and she has been such a terrible all-round character since her introduction that she is actually starting to get under my skin. If the developers were trying to make her a hateable character, then good freaking job but somehow I don't think it was their intention.

Debeste is great though. He's been the funniest thing going on in the game so far.

But seriously. Justine Courtney is just the worst. Such a terrible character.

Least favorite AA game would be AAInvestigations. Holy hell that game was the most boring AA game I've ever played.
The last case in particular dragged on sooooooo much and was by far the least engaging final case in the series.

I just beat case 3 of AAI2 a few days ago and that game is much better, in terms of everything. It does however have its own issues with pacing (case 2 was pretty bad because of it) and I won't quite put it on a pedastal like everyone else does. Case 2 and even 3 kinda overstayed its welcome and a lot of the fat could have been trimmed down to make both cases much better.

I hope case 4 doesn't have the same issues as 2 and 3 (to a lesser extent). And case 5 has already been hyped to the skies by everyone so lets see.

One thing I really do appreciate about AAI2 is the amazing job the translation team has done. Not in any point of the probably 20 hours I've played, has the game felt like a fan translation.

Some players have had better individual years during his run, but that happens to just about every top athlete with such a long career.

I don't think anyone had a better individual year than Fed's 2006. 92-5 Win Loss Record (4 of those losses were on Clay to Nadal, the other to a young Andy Murray as an upset). 3 Slams (Runner-up at FO). WTF Finals winner. 11 Titles. World no. 1 with the highest accumulated points in history. Too many records that year.

Djokovic's amazing 2011 would probably rank a distant second though.

Might be the most ridiculous stat in tennis. Literally 3 other winners in 40+ contested slams.

I used to call Cilic the worst Slam winner by a mile in the Big Four era. But the guy played like a champ today. The 4th set display was just insane tennis.

He has definitely paid his dues and someone I'd finally call a worthy slam winner.

Unless Delpo does more, he might end up as the least worthy slam winner in the Big 4 era.

These young guns need to step up. The tour is literally being owned by someone 3 years shy of 40. I really hope we see someone like Zverev or Chung win a slam this year.

Zverev, in particular has all the tools but somehow manages to tank literally all his grand slam matches.

Getting Dragon Ball FighterZ, Monster Hunter: World and Dissidia NT.

I doubt those games would be better than Resident Evil 7 and Tales of Berseria though. If they are I will be very impressed and 2018 might not be a bad year for games either.

For people hogging their overdrive protocols and not switching blades around, you get one after maxing each character's (driver's) affinity chart. So along with the ones you find in the game, you get an additional 5.

Stop hogging those Overdrives, make your switches, the game gives you more than enough for necessary blade switches.

Am I gonna like this game if I didn't like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate that much? I played that game on single player till G Rank and hated most of my time playing it.

It is also the only MH game I've played.

Hey Shaolin Monks is a good game. Don't compare it to the steaming pile of junk that is Mythologies.

So I made my peace with not being able to get all the rare blades in the game and then I get KOS-MOS from a rare core when I wasn't even expecting it in the slightest. What is this?

I still have 3 more rares remaining but since I have done everything in the game that I could. From sidequests to blade quests to killing all unique monsters to completing all merc missions to buying all deeds. I think I'm totally done with this great great game that could have been a truly amazing one of it didn't have some glaring gameplay mechanic issues namely this BS acquiring Rare Blades from crystal core system

Orion and Arduran were way easier than expected. That said all 9 Super Bosses beated! None even posed any semblance of challenge to my Level 99 party.

Xenoblade 1's Abaasy, Belgazas, Arsene and Daedala were all way harder than any of the ones in this game. The combat is just too easily broken in this one.

My side quests completion count stands at 78. I take it there is a grand total of 87 in this game? So 9 more to go and a couple of Blade quests and then I'm completely done with the game.
