Lost a ton of stuff as a kid when my dad went on a bipolar bender and didn't pay for storage fees. RIP all of my Lego sets, other toys, Sega Genesis and like 20 games, and also his baseball trading card collection including some rare ones like a Ken Griffey Jr rookie card (I remember that card because KGJ was my favorite baseball player as a kid).

I still have some of my Pokemon cards, Gameboy games, Goosebumps books, sports trophies, yearbooks, and my one surviving Lego figurine from when I was a kid. Otherwise my oldest things are from when I was a teenager.

In August for me I took an overnight train from DC to Georgia, drove 40 miles each way to pick up a Uhaul since last minute they told me they didn't have it locally, hitched my old Camaro to it (did it there and asked them to double check it since they weren't allowed to do it themselves), loaded the truck with my mom's stuff mostly by myself, drove 12 hours back to Maryland, unloaded the Uhaul truck, loaded some of my stuff in the truck, got a storage unit and unloaded my shit and some of her shit in there, and then finally dropped off the Uhaul

All within the span of a weekend

Dish towel sunk into my garbage disposal when I wasn't paying attention and I ran it, and then 2 years later same thing happened with a shot glass

$350 each instance to get a new garbage disposal and have it installed. Went to the local grocery store and bought one of those food catchers for $3 and no problems since then. I probably could've done the installs myself but I didn't want to deal with the headaches at the time since I lived by myself and had a ton of other crap to do.

$2k stupid expensive for a graphics card but really no gamer needs all of that power unless they have some insane setup with VR. I don't just game on my 4090, I also use it for AI/ML/NLP stuff for work and just messing around with it in general.

Right now it just feels like so many countries are being led by a group of fucking morons. Gutting education / revising history so that everyone overall is dumber, falling back on religion instead of science, not giving a shit about the planet we live on and are currently stuck on for the sake of profits, countering facts with the most obvious lies they can pull from their ass with zero effort, and so many other things. I feel like it's Groundhog Day every single CFB season when somebody complains about a team being higher ranked than another team because they beat them with the same amount of losses. Every single ranking ever has always looked at more than just head to head

Bama lost to Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Tennessee lost to Arkansas and Georgia. Bama has wins over currently ranked Georgia, South Carolina, and Mizzou. Tennessee has wins over currently ranked Bama and uhhhh gimme a minute........that's all I got

Additionally, the only team that Tennessee has beaten with a winning record as of today other than Alabama is literal FCS team Chattanooga (6-5). Every other W they have is to a .500 team or below. Also Bama's cupcake FCS team Mercer is ranked in their league at 9-2, can't say as much about Chattanooga

Every year it's the same shit when it comes to complaining about rankings jesus
