That sounds like Arlecchino, and no, her release date is unknown.

Raiden is in the second half of this coming patch and is very good. Hard to say exactly without knowing 4 stars though.

Probably worth pointing out that one of those big roles is Paimon in the Japanese version of Genshin Impact, who sounds very similar to Konoha. I would guess that is why the voice didn't stand out to me in 16bit Sensation.

I also think it should be easy to set aside or get used to aesthetic complaints as long as you're interested in the content, though.

I watched one episode of Concrete Revultio and wondered if its a cool zany idea I want to stick with or a confusing mess I can't follow and don't want to bother.

It's really clever but also you need to have an incredible knowledge of both early manga history and also post-WWII/Cold War Japanese politics.

Yuri is my Job is a romance drama, with a few jokes. But the drama is constantly at the forefront. I happen to enjoy messy romance drama, so I like it a lot. Show me two people who love each other in a stable relationship and I'll quickly make my exit.

I think that's good to keep in mind, but this is also the series where Rei talks about gay people and her feeling like she has to be comical to be accepted, and I think most people gave credit to the author there for making a good point. But it strikes me as overly convenient if anything you agree with is the true opinion of the author and anything sketchy is purely character voice.

Probably about as much as MMORPGs have obscure sidequests with busted character upgrades as rewards to the first person to complete them.

Fun fact: there's no such thing as a "typical villainess story". Otome games generally don't have villainesses. The villainess isekai genre is a parody of something that doesn't exist.

I'll blame Bakarina for that one. It was taking inspiration from the Kenkyo, Kenjitsu web novel, which was about reincarnation into a rival character in a shoujo romance manga. Bakarina, I guess, wanted to combine that with the standard fantasy isekai stuff, and that's where the fantasy otome game villainess subgenre came in. So it always existed as a hodgepodge of two already popular premises.

I don't have a lot to say about seasonal anime since so much of it is solid adaptations of sources I already enjoyed. SHY, Stardust Telepath, Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, continuations of Ancient Magus Bride and Dead Mount Death Play, all going strong. Was unlikely to drop any of them unless the adaptation was obviously flawed. Though Frieren sometimes annoys me enough to make it tempting.

As for the shows I picked up that I wasn't (entirely) familiar with the sources of, Vexations of the Vampire Princess is certainly the worst and the closest to me dropping out of disinterest. It has elements that seem like they would appeal to me but it rarely comes together into anything. 100 Girlfriends is good but the style of humor is at times grating. Will probably be more tolerable in the manga but I'll stay with the anime for now. Then there's 16Bit Sensation, which is an anime-original retelling of a manga I did read, and that's quite fun.

Still need to make time for Pluto. That's another manga I read, though it was ages ago.

I believe Kimi ga Tame really is the final boss theme for the first Utawarerumono, and if you thought it was monotonous to listen to, it's worse in context. One of the dullest final boss fights I've experienced. I still like the series though.
