I grabbed Xingqiu as my event 4* because he's supposed to be busted. Now to figure out how to use him exactly. Tragically it means some Oceanid is in my future.

I was wondering what you did with Evangeline to not have eliminated her earlier. She does spend a lot of time in her adult form in UQ Holder so I thought you might have scored her based on that instead.

She's a great character though, big fan of her perpetual snark.

With the internet outage in my area continuing throughout the day, I eventually resorted to doing my dailies and the new event content via my phone's hotspot. It took a good while to get past the Downloading data screen, but everything else was totally normal, which was nice.

Tomorrow or the day after I should also hit AR55 and the final WL increase.

Rin is simultaneously loaded and perpetually poor, because her family's magic eats up precious gems. Her being a little greedy and focused on the trappings of wealth is one of my favorite character traits of hers.

I used Barbara up until she hit friendship 10, and I still bring her around to Abyss due to lack of alternatives, but using her is frequently a frustrating experience. My Bennett kind of sucks but at least he doesn't get frozen.

First off, once you get AR20 you get Barbara for free, and she's a healer. A poor one, but she functions.

Teambuilding is a difficult subject and I can't say mine is very good even when I'm far into the endgame. What I can say is that it's important to have access to the main four elements for certain things (breaking shields, mostly), but that doesn't mean that you need four highly developed characters to cover them. For instance, Kaeya can be swapped in just to use his elemental skill for a quick application of ice and swapped out without needing him to be high level. You mostly want to start with your best DPS, or the character you most want to use as DPS, give them your resources and keep them as strong as possible, and aim for the characters that synergize with them. And you will want to have two DPSes because Abyss will require two teams.

I'd say Naoto > Kanji > Teddie > Yu > Chie > Yukiko > Rise > Yosuke. But I liked everyone a lot, and it's still my favorite game of all time.

Whats the deal with these Geovishaps? I did the initial one that introduces you to them, but like am I supposed to be fighting them daily or something? I dont think that part of the event has actually started just yet?

No, it's not an event. The geovishap is a new world boss, like the Regisvines, the cubes, and the Oceanid. It drops a unique material that new characters will use, such as Xiao. If you don't have Xiao and aren't interested in him or preparing for Hu Tao there's no real reason to be fighting it at the moment.

It's the English voice, but the VA is still the same, it's just the voice direction that changed. Not sure if it's more or less in keeping with that video, really, but I did like the more energetic battle lines of the old version.

Right now the only event is the photo one, and it's very fast. No resin needed (but that's the default for events anyway).

I was somewhat worried the new boss would be a pain, since I intend to farm it a good amount for Hu Tao mats in advance, but Zhongli does seem to trounce it pretty thoroughly.

I was under the impression it was only double rewards for the first three leylines a day for a week. That's good but not going to resolve anyone's mora or EXP problems by itself.

I finished this now, and was a big fan. I appreciated that it was complicated and full of twists, but you could work out the twists around the time they were confirmed, so it flowed well. The battles were enjoyable too, if sometimes just to serve as a break between the story sections.

Can heartily recommend Mob Psycho 100 and March Comes In Like a Lion as my favorites within the last 5 years. Vinland Saga is also fantastic, for sure.

I finally got a tolerable Crimson Witch flower for Diluc (Atk%, Crit Rate, Crit Damage), which makes for a fourth usable 5* piece. Can finally get him out of Gladiator's, and in the meantime throw those pieces onto Razor who I've been building up.

I'm also not pulling for Xiao, but speaking of 5 star polearms, I am struggling to resist attempting to pull on the upcoming weapon banner. The weapon banners are such garbage that I would normally not be caught dead pulling, but the Staff of Homa may be too good to pass up trying for.

The free 4* is nice, I can either get my first Ningguang or Xingqui. Not sure which yet, both have merits.

The banners are a bit interesting since there's only two weeks between them instead of three. Not sure what that means. No interest in either character, anyway, but I'm still waiting for Hu Tao.

The double leyline bonus event is pretty exciting though. I'm going to be hitting EXP hard then, I think.

4140 points for Geo. That was fairly rough, although making sure to also use stamina food helped mitigate the increased sprint cost. Getting past the second phase was hard to do cleanly.

Now that my reputation is maxed out and while my BP is too I'm very apathetic about doing bounties and requests. I guess it's free cash, but it's not that much.

Fuck this boss. Doesn't help that I have next to no experience with this cube. Died like five times in a row to a different mechanic each time

Not having familiarity with the cube is unfortunate, but all the normal moves should be quite easy to dodge. Both of the unique moves, the one where it goes into the air and the one where it makes ground pulses, can be avoided by gliding. Just stay close to one of the constructs so you can glide if you need to.

3915 for this one, again everything maxed except 5 minutes timer. This time I remembered to use food items, so it wasn't so bad. This one's gimmicks were also less onerous, I felt.

Thus far all I'm watching that's new is Otherside Picnic, and it does seem worth keeping up with. I've heard a lot of praise for Egg but I'm holding off for now and will see if it continues to be highly regarded.

Since I got Tales of Winter for the first time today, I was able to complete the last Mondstadt world quest, and with the Ganyu banner also came the last two Liyue world quests, which also gave enough reputation for me to max both at once. Very good timing.
