Also, though, consider reading the Vigilantes spinoff. I think it's a lot better than the main series.

I don't think devoid was ever really a problem, but it was sold as a mechanic when it really wasn't. It's functionally identical to Ghostfire's colorless mana identity, but once you label it with a keyword, people expect more from it than mere labeling. I don't think it's a big fault simply because it's really not obvious that people would react that way, but basically it would have all been solved if they had found a visual symbol to use to indicate the colorless mana identity instead of keywording it.

It also only has flavor significance, for the most part, so unless it was on a setting with a heavy colorlessness theme, even colorless mana identity isn't likely to come back.

I'm not expecting to spend too long on this game, being only somewhat versed in Tales games, but I figure I'll try it out and see some of the story. Finally had a good reroll with 4x SSRs, not including the free one, so I have Kohaku, Jude, Milla, Kanata, and the Rita I picked. Seems good enough to me.

My memory of Kill la Kill is pretty spotty, but I don't remember Ragyo being remotely sympathetic in the way her song presents. Also they used only a tiny snippet of her song for her introduction that made it seem more menacing than the full song actually is, so it's not a great representation.

I mean, this deck can't beat Rest in Peace/Leyline of the Void very easily. If you want to just counter him outright.

But really you could just play a faster deck, especially one that doesn't win with creatures. Like a spellslinger type deck.

Edit: Or an artifact combo deck, of which there are many.

CS3 has my least favorite soundtrack by a longshot, but I've never seen eye-to-eye with the fanbase on this issue.

I don't think it has a lot of great tracks (and it's kinda hurt by not having a real final boss theme), but Spiral of Erebos is my favorite dungeon theme in the series.

I saw the 10 SQ thing, yeah. I'm hopeful that if no events come up I can maybe power through it in time. If I can't... I will regretfully pass on the SQ because even that temptation won't have me break the chronological order. An event would basically kill any hope of it but without one and I can just focus the whole two weeks on Salem and LB1? ...Maybe?

Yeah 6-6 is really dull. I would say it drags the game down, but 6-4 already does that splendidly. It was certainly a disappointment compared to 5-6 which I really like, anyway.

And yes I had claim the first born in my hand so I get the logic, but only if it autotapped for me.

Sometimes the autotapper guesses wrong. The rule of 'prioritize tapping lands that allow the player to cast an available spell' isn't such a bad one. You just have to learn not to take it for granted.

Not only is it so inscrutably Japanese that even a weeb like me can't appreciate it. Not only is it a really bad showing for Athena in this game, who I like overall. I just can't forgive the game for the culprit's boob jokes.

I also don't really agree with the premise that an unpleasant fantasy element is necessarily worth including even if it is genre-appropriate and something the setting can explore. That's why D&D-likes move away from the Half-Orc 'product of rape' backstory that was so endemic to early D&D. Yes, it's appropriate, but it's unpleasant enough that it is better excluded nonetheless.

I'm not sure I would call any of these cards 'exploring the complexity of problematic natures of humanity'. There's no great meaning to 'Crusade, a card that is a reference to the historical Crusades'. I don't see what intrinsic value that has that needs to be preserved.

Mass Calcify destroys all nonwhite creatures, which is arguably worse in that respect. I don't think white and black being in-game terms is a problem by itself though, so it doesn't really matter.

You can beat Lorence. You need to for max BP. The cutscene is slightly different but the thing you complain about basically still occurs, I think.

No, it is true that, in the past, they have refused to make functional reprints of cards on the Reserved List. Not that anyone cares about Invoke Prejudice for non-racist reasons, but if that were somehow a card with a useful effect, it would be hard to replace it for this reason.

I don't have a problem with this move, some of these have been embarrassments for decades. I've always thought Stone-Throwing Devils smacks of some weird colonial 'the natives are restless' nonsense anyway, so good riddance.

Musse was very good for me, but Arts has a really sharp curve of usefulness as the game progresses. They start out very weak, but once you have access to Bells and Cast 3 (to say nothing of Diabolos Gem) Arts become insane. I don't mind Musse's crafts though, they're limited but they do all they need to.

Ash was the character I used the least of new Class 7, since the area on his crafts is really harsh.

I'm sorry I played pretty badly, but I am still glad Ben got there despite that. I wasn't very prepared to be scum and after a really bad D1 I didn't know how to recover except by exaggerating disinterest.

I do stand by the suicidal hammer decision though.

As I recall, the primary point against me was that I was on Puns instead of Red when I had a strong preference for Red rather than Lea. My explanation is that the last time I checked the votals, with very little time left in the day, Red had a massive lead. You don't believe this explanation. That is all well and good, but nevertheless it is the case.
