Franziska: That look in your eyes...You remind me of Phoenix Wright when he is cornered.
Edgeworth: That should come as no surprise. (Because right now, I am Phoenix Wright, and I am indeed cornered...!)

3-5 trial day 1 is so good because Edgeworth wrecks Franziska left and right (actually 3-5 in general is good for that if you want the satisfaction of seeing Franziska get owned because just about everyone gets her good at some point here). It's also low-key one of the easiest trial days in the entire series outside of tutorials. Pretty sure even the very first time I played I might have gotten stumped maybe once.

Well, MycroProcessor no doubt feels the same way about those music contests (Me, too... and lots of other guys) and he's one of the most talented musicians on Board 8!

No doubt that musical training can change one's musical tastes over time, but it really just boils down to "everyone has different tastes and everyone is entitled to different opinions".

Anyway, since 3-5 is a tale of two halves in terms of the characters involved, it'd probably be worth cross-comparing them.

So the numbers from 3-5 Trial Day 1:

1. Miles Edgeworth - 313
2. Judge's Brother - 197
3. Franziska von Karma - 177
4. Larry Butz - 145
5. Bikini - 119
6. Iris - 19

Then the combined totals for 3-5 Day 1:

1. Miles Edgeworth - 736
2. Larry Butz - 302
3. Bikini - 207
4. Judge's Brother - 197
5. Phoenix Wright - 194
6. Dick Gumshoe - 191
7. Franziska von Karma - 177
8. Maya Fey - 138
9. Iris - 137
10. Pearl Fey - 44
11. Elise Deauxnim - 29

and still 5 characters who have yet to have a single line so it should be fun to see how the second half changes things up

I'm trying to think of which multi-game characters are going to be completely tapped out on dialogue so we're going to get their final numbers once 3-5 is over. I know Mia for sure is done after this. Grossberg's been done for a while, I guess. Oh right, Adrian is a multi-game character despite only being in two cases, so she's totally done. I think that might be it, especially since AAI1 brought back pretty much every semi-important character who was in multiple OT cases.

that moment is more about Phoenix/Maya than Phoenix/Franziska because Maya drew the picture

like if they wanted that moment to mean more than that Franziska would've given it back to him like she said she would or at least mentioned it but she never does

Ehhh, this I disagree with, though. I don't think the AA showrunners ever intend to follow through with any ship-teases - doing something that explicit would be out of character for them. That's why they're just teases.

it's also why it's absolutely not a tease

like it had never even occurred to me that it meant anything more than a cool little extra thing that Maya drew with the Shelly card

the tease there was "what was the last piece of evidence that Gumshoe said he took" and then they followed through with it at the end

I know there's one exchange where Edgeworth calls him an old man and Diego responds by calling him "boy," but I think that's it. The prosecutors don't speak to the assistants during trials very often.

okay watched the first two episodes of the 2-2 English dub of the anime

Franziska's and Pearl's voices are pretty good, I think. I was kinda disappointed Ini doesn't sound more like a valley girl though.

Also apparently despite using the English names, the anime still takes place in Japan, since Franziska says she left a promising career in America instead of in Germany, although she doesn't actually mention Japan by name.

I like Dahlia's Psyche-Lock here because it's a pretty big hint that it isn't really Iris because she contradicts stuff Iris told you on day 1, and she can't keep all the details of the crime straight since she doesn't know them all. For example, she doesn't "remember" that she met Phoenix right before she rang the lights out bell until he tells her.
